Chapter 59: Who Owned My Real Body

The Demon’s Love

Chapter 59: Who Owned My Real Body

Amari’s

I looked at Rymond. I don’t know if the knights hadn’t seen the ‘Banned Sorcerer of the Magic Tower’ however seeing them not minding about his vigorous power of Rymond, perhaps they had never known it was him or they have seen someone who had done similar things. If it was someone then it must be Zaren no one else. Well, who would actually showcase their talents in front of their knights? Of course, it must be the Master they serve for.

I asked Rymond while we slowly marched towards our destination, “Does no one knew your identity other than us?”

He simply replied, “Probably”, he then mysteriously smiled, “besides, if anyone dares to tell this to anyone, I might as well just silence them.”

“If you do that, I’ll kill you for your impulsiveness.”

He smirked, not responding. The front part of this mountain was creepy, and the aura of Dark Magic was also abundantly scary. Zaren had already prepared for this mission, hence carrying these special masks tainted with his power was insane. I lit up my Light Power which led us to a narrow space we could walk over onto. I didn’t waste any time thus I followed my power with reluctant steps. There was only silence, which was unusually deafening, but I braced myself, summoning my sword and gritting my teeth.

I hung my hand in the air after halting, “Everyone, stop!”

I warned but before they could crouch then, something emerged right in front of me so I held my breath and swung my sword, summoning my Fire and burning it. On contrary, the Dark Magic only ate my power and unhurriedly approached me. I didn’t budge an inch and heard Rymond.

“Everyone, position!”

The knights gave me their power then I attacked Darkness with my sword, to which it dodged and I jumped up, hitting the its one red eye in the middle. It was a futile attempt then I saw Rymond with his adult appearance, causing me to falter since I had never seen someone who has such beautiful features like him.

Maybe the Emperor banned him because of his beauty. I closed my eyes, threatening myself not to think such things in front of a risky situation. I had never seen Rymond in his adult form which was quite surprising seeing it up close and in such a dangerous situation. My familiar was this attractive yet he chose his cute-appearance just to appease the people in Valkyrine residence.

I grumbled then bent downward as the Dark Magic tried to get me. I held my sword, ran forward, and attacked it with both of my powers as the Knights surrounded it, jumping and attacking it with their swords.

I hate to admit but Darkness was powerful. I panted after being thrown, wiping the blood from my lips. Rymond shielded me, chanting spell which caused Darkness to falter a little while grumbling ang laughing eerily. I wavered but it felt Darkness was playing with us, it doesn’t even show its full capabilities as though it was looking down on us.

I looked from behind Rymond then I lifted my hand with a purse of my lips. A few of the knights were left. Now that Darkness was looking down on us I should just take this as a do it or die situation. With one eye closed, I then clenched my hand and just like the Darkness came over abruptly and before I could swing my sword, which was so late, even though I was fast as I was always be, the Darkness had completely engulfed me inside.

I panted, widening my eyes at the dim sight I was greeted with.

“If not you, who else would dare to try out a risky sign? You tried to control me using those lowly skills of yours?”

I flinched, this voice. This voice, where had I heard it? Panicking, I looked around trying to see where the owner of the voice was and then with my wishes, something in front of me emerged which left me struck. I covered my mouth, shaking.

“W-why are you… why is my body….”

I couldn’t understand it. My real body was right in front of me but somehow it doesn’t felt mine to begin with. Something was off, something that felt unsettling nurtured within me and I gulped my saliva.

“That’s right. Your body, no, you yourself is the predicament of the Darkness.”

“… What?” I held my sword, and tried to swing it but something stopped me from fully adhering my power. I couldn’t be scared, the answer I was waiting for is right in front of me. I need to strengthen myself and be the shameless and fearless Yula I was always be.

“Whatever you do, you wouldn’t defeat me, you from the other world.”

I flinched, “Whatever my business with you, I never recalled anything. Why are you doing this? W-why… is my body…”

A crafty, dreadful laughter intervened my seriousness. The voice resumed, “Are you scared to know that the Darkness you’re facing now was your past self? How reassuring. Does that mean you’re not going to kill me?”

“Shut up! You’ve killed too many and you even had the nerve to act all innocent? Give my body back to me, you bastard Darkness. Without the people, you can neither be powerful or anything!”

I didn’t know I was talking to the Darkness itself. However why is my body… my real body embodying Darkness? What was my relationship with it? I never even saw it previously.

I clenched my fists, not comprehending any words it blurted and I felt more infuriated than ever. Why was it trying to do with me? Why did it engulf me as though I had wanted to be with it badly?

“I eat bodies which had remained grieving or those souls whose hard to find the answer they sought so hard.”

I frowned, “Body and soul? You… you ate my body?!”

A chuckle sounding nasty reached my ears and I flinched. I didn’t know why I am wasting my time with this annoying power but somehow since it doesn’t hurt me yet, I feel a little bit safe. Is everyone outside doing well? They need to hold on for a little longer while I find a way to kill it inside.

“This is the first time I have ever showed myself to someone, but you were this ungrateful. Child, whatever are you doing wanting to get your body back?”

“You don’t need anything! Give me my back my body and my baby!”

“Oh, your baby? Unfortunately, so, those souls I have had no way of being reincarnated again.”

“Ah, whatever. I’ll make this fast and painless at all costs.”

Then I surrounded myself with my own power and trudged over to where I heard the voice, fighting it. This was why I could control Dark magic since my real body has its possession which it uses as its body to cultivate. But how did it able to do that when it’s a mere power?

I attacked him with my fire power, swirled then jumped up, straight to its heart but he vanished and pushed me. I coughed up blood due to the force, but I didn’t stop and held my sword with my shaky hands. It probably because I was both stunned and nervous of facing Darkness myself. This was a first time, but Darkness wants me to die.

Based on how it reacted upon seeing me, aside that it was surprised it was also uncontrollable. I have found in a challenging feat when its attacks were directed at me. As if I wasn’t supposed to be fighting him, rather I shouldn’t have come and be a foolish to be honed by my instincts. I have found my body which was regrettably by someone else’s hand.

Regarding of what to call Darkness was elusive, as such I couldn’t find the appropriate to exactly describe what it looked like. It was ugly, vague, yet capable of harming everyone besides me. It was challenging that I was the only one fighting, it what’s more when it was using my face and body. How could I possible hurt my previous body when I loved it? It was the previous face and body that Zhiven touched and loved dearly but something absurd such as Darkness possessed it.

But why? Why me? There were other entities who’d gladly give themselves for its use. Rymond revealed that my body was dead so the only resort for him was to carry my soul. Yet the possible cause of that was Darkness possessing it and due to vulnerability, Rymond couldn’t manage to get it back, making him helpless.

“… Ha, how absurd.” I mocked, moistening my lower lip.

“It was absurd, to think the owner of the body was right in front of me.”

I smirked, chuckling at his factual words. “I should be the one saying that to you, you shameless bastard.”

I aimed my sword at it then consecutive attacks from me were sent to it, which it found itself in a tight spot as it couldn’t be a little faster than my powers. I have the Dragon’s blessing, what right does this Darkness have to easily kill me?!
