The Black Wolf

"I'm dead! He saw the flowers on my bed. How about this? What should I do?" Lyra thought. She trembled with fear when she saw the violent reaction Aiden showed her.

Aiden obviously wouldn't mess with her if she made threats like this. Because she was too scared, Lyra couldn't lift her face.

"I-I think you've misunderstood! I don't at all-" Before she could finish speaking, Aiden immediately grabbed her neck and made her choke. She felt like she would die soon if this man didn't immediately release his grip.

"Ugh...let me go-"

"If it weren't for Lucas, I would have chopped off your head. Get out of my way!" He said while pushing Lyra away from him.

Aiden walked into the room to see his black roses in this room. As if she didn't have time to enjoy the pain of his grip, Lyra immediately followed behind Aiden. She tried to think hard about what she should do now.

"A-Aiden, I can explain-" she stuttered. But Aiden didn't need any explanation from her. He looked at the blood rose that was lying on the bed almost withered. A dark aura appeared around his body, hinting at immense anger.

Realizing that she was in serious trouble, Lyra decided to step back away from Aiden as quickly as possible before the man went berserk and took out his anger on her.

Braaakkk...

The bedroom door, which was originally open, immediately closed tightly just before she ran away. Frantically, Lyra tried to open the front door in various ways.

"Damn it, it can't be opened! What is this? Please...! Open the door! Someone, please open the door-"

Grrrr...

"Huh?"

Goosebumps rose all over her body when she heard the roar of a wild beast behind her. Her body suddenly froze and she was too afraid to see what was happening behind her.

Grrrr...grrr...

The growl got bigger and she could feel something sneaking up behind her like a wolf stalking its prey.

With all the remaining courage she had, Lyra tried to look back only to see a big black wolf snarling at her with its large, sharp webs.

"Aaagh..."

She screamed as the wolf quickly fell on her body as if it was going to tear her to pieces brutally.

Grrrr...

"Help...! Lucas, please help me...!"

"Lyra? Lyra, wake up! Lyra?"

"Lucas...!"

Lyra opened her eyes when her heart was beating too fast like it was going to jump out of her body. Her body felt stiff and trembling, her eyes tried to capture the surroundings just to find where the black wolf was. But all she saw was Lucas looking at her with cold eyes.

"L-Lucas? W-where is the wolf?"

"Wolf? What do you mean by wolf?"

"Black wolf, there is a black wolf in this room and that wolf is Aiden." She said everything she remembered.

Aiden went into her bedroom to see the blood rose that Lyra had accidentally stolen through Keith. When she tried to escape, the door to her room suddenly closed and a black wolf pounced on her. She was sure that the black wolf was Aiden.

"What are you saying? There are no wolves here!"

"B-but I was-"

"I think you're dreaming, is the dream so bad that you keep screaming?" Lucad asked calmly as if nothing had happened in this place.

Strange, she felt that something strange had happened. She tried to touch her neck, which for some reason still felt sore from Aiden's grip as if the pain was real and not just a dream as Lucas said. However, after she observed the situation around her, everything looked fine.

"T-that rose-"

"It's on the table!"

"Really?"

"Isn't that Aiden's? How did it get in your room?"

"I-I took it."

"Oh, I see?" Lucas stepped towards the table where the black rose was. He held the rose and looked at it with a flat expression.

"Lucas, I-"

"Aiden really likes plants and black roses are his favorite. He will come to look after the plants in the garden and make sure that these black roses can bloom longer and don't wilt quickly. He will definitely be very angry if he finds something that he has cared for and guard it wholeheartedly by being taken by irresponsible people."

"I'm sorry! I really didn't know that this flower was so important to him-"

"Keith picked it for you?"

Hearing Lucas' question, she could only remain silent because she knew that she wouldn't be able to lie to Lucas. She has such sharp senses and intuition that lying and making excuses is futile.

"Lucas, I'm really sorry. This was my mistake and I'm very sorry. I beg you to forgive me!"

"You're not sorry, Lyra! I know you're not someone who will truly regret your mistakes. That's why you don't need to apologize!"

"You're wrong! I'm really sorry and I-"

"Can you confirm that you won't do it again?"

"I-I-"

Lucas looked at him very sharply and he was still holding the rose in his hand. His black and cold eyes seemed to hold a mysterious secret. Slowly the flower in his hand withered, then dried until it ended up as a grain of dust. Lyra's eyes widened at the amazing thing Lucas showed her.

"I'll tell Aiden that I have taken his favorite flowers." He said as he left. Lyra was still in silence with feelings of guilt and fear still surrounding her.

"Lucas, I'm really sorry because I've caused you trouble."

"I brought you to this place therefore you have become my responsibility."
