"Calvin!" Alexander shot Calvin a dark look.
Though unwilling, Calvin still swallowed back the rest of his words.
Sabrina lay on the hospital bed without making a sound, but a flash of jealous hatred quickly passed through her lowered watery eyes.
What was so great about Charlotte anyway? No education, divorced, and had a child.
Her only advantage was probably that face of hers.
But in the eyes of prestigious families, beauty was clearly the most worthless thing.
Jordan not only came from a good family and was good-looking, but he was also an expert in the medical field. Supposedly, the socialites pursuing him could form a line stretching out of River City.
How could such an outstanding man be captivated by Charlotte?

Calvin knew full well that Jenna must have gone back and complained to Charlotte.
But he had nothing to fear.
He hadn't beaten or killed anyone, hadn't kidnapped anyone. Even if she called the police, they couldn't charge him with anything.
"Charlotte, I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't done anything."
"And if you want to call the police, I'd be happy to oblige. I'll just tell them that Jenna was the one throwing herself at me, came to me on her own, and wouldn't leave me alone."
"I was so bothered by her pestering that I had no choice but to make her get out of the car."
Calvin looked defiant: "How's that? Exciting story, right? So you'd better shut your mouth and stop trying to frame me."

Before he finished speaking, Charlotte's hand hidden behind her back moved!
A small bucket of filthy dirty water splashed right over Calvin's head!
Even Sabrina, who was sitting relatively close to Calvin, got splattered with several drops.
Instantly, a foul stench filled the air.
Calvin froze completely. His mouth had been open as he was speaking, so some of Charlotte's dirty water actually rushed straight into his throat and he swallowed it!
After coming to his senses, Calvin instinctively clutched his throat and bent over retching.

Sabrina screamed and quickly jumped up from the hospital bed.
Her agile movements replaced her previously weak and delicate appearance.
Alexander, who hadn't been affected, was the first to react.
He strode forward and grabbed Charlotte's wrist, his gaze dark: "Charlotte, you've gone too far!"
Charlotte raised her head and stared back at him coldly: "Mr. Forbes, you're such a hypocrite."
Alexander's pupils contracted: "What do you mean?"
Charlotte yanked her hand back forcefully before taking a step back.
"Calvin abandoning Jenna alone in some remote, rundown place—not too far."
"Getting Lenora to smear Jenna's store online, claiming her products are counterfeit—not too far."
"Deliberately slandering a girl's reputation—not too far."
"But me just helping him wash out that filthy mouth of his—that's too far?"
Alexander opened his mouth but couldn't find words to respond.
At that moment, the disheveled Calvin charged forward furiously: "Charlotte, you dare splash me? Let's see how I deal with you!"
With that, he raised his fist to strike Charlotte!
Watching the aggressive Calvin, Alexander's pupils contracted. He wanted to intervene but it was already too late.
Charlotte didn't dodge at all, standing quietly, only secretly tightening her grip on something between her fingers.
She knew Calvin's violent temper well and had naturally come prepared.
She wanted him to taste pain too!

A scream rang out, but it was Calvin's voice.

Alexander felt helpless.
It was clearly Charlotte who had barged in and started the trouble.

"Landon, why did you come over? Didn't Zack say you went back to Prime Estate?" Charlotte also looked at Landon, while quietly tucking away what was in her hand.

Alexander was startled: "What do you mean by that?"
Charlotte smiled: "You'll find out soon enough."
