"Leila’s POV".
The room was filled with a dense and uncomfortable silence. The air was heavy with anticipation and fear. Ben and Tammy’s eyes were one Alexander , as they both waited for him to take a decision.
I held my breath, waiting for him to take a decision, one part of me hoped he would not sign, but another part of me gave up all hopes.
He stood rooted to his spot, his eyes fixed on the papers in his hands.
“I can not do this. I can not betray Leila, she is my wife!” He said, my voice calm and steady.
Tammy and Ben looked at each other and a small smile formed on my face.
For some reasons, I was happy he chose to stay with me. But something in me warned me to not count my chicks before they hatched. Alexander could be unpredictable at times.
Ben stepped forward, his eyes narrowed and a smug grin on his face.
“I will pretend that I did not hear what you said, the first time. Perhaps you have something to think about. The fate of your precious little wife is in your hands, and will be determined by your next words. So chose your words carefully.” Ben threatened.
Alexander however stood still, and did not utter a single word.
“Common Alexander baby,” Tammy’s voice cut through the silence. “We have a vacation to attend, you can not waste time. Hurry make your decision.”
I felt like strangling her, how dare her! How dare her plan a honeymoon with my husband, that too whilst I was still alive.
A deep and deafening silence settled over the room, and Ben’s eyes were fixed on Alexander.
But then it happened, Alexander was signing the papers.
“No! Please do not sign it. Please Alexander.” I cried out, desperately hoping to stop him
When Alexander finished signing, He handed the papers back to Ben.
Ben took the papers, with a victorious smirk on his face. “Good choice Alexander. I must say, you must really care for her to do this. Imagine the risk you just took.” He said, a cruel look in his eyes.
“Well, Well, Well. I can see that you finally made the right decision baby.” Tammy said and stepped forward. “ She was never the perfect match for your anyways. She is a weak and pathetic bastard and you must be so ashamed to call her your wife. I am glad you finally came to your senses and got rid of her.”
Tammy’s words stabbed my heart like a hot knife, but Alexander’s decision hurts even more. I stood there, my eyes welling up with tears as the realization dawned on me. Alexander ended our marriage without thinking about me, or my feelings.
He knew that I loved him, but he chose to betray me, and end our relationship in the blink of an eye.
All that we shared did not matter to him?
“Stop spewing rubbish and let go of her! Set her free!” Alexander said.
Tammy’s face curled into a satisfied sneer. “Do not worry about her, we will release her and that too unharmed.”
She stepped closer, and kept a hand on his shoulder. Her face was extremely close to mine.
“You know, I never got to know why you married her.” Tammy taunted. “She is a rich brat who was spiked rotten by her parents. She does not desire you, she is a pathetic excuse for a woman. And now, I am glad you have chosen to get rid of her.”
With that, Tammy pressed her lips on Alexander’s.
I felt a wave of jealousy rush over me, I tried to break free and end the kiss, but my body went numb when Alexander kissed her back.
“How dare you! How dare you!” I screamed, my voice raw with emotion as hot tears ran down my cheeks.
However I got no answer from Alexander or Tammy, I was ignored like I was insignificant. The shame and insult was too much for me to handle. He threw away all that we had,and made a mockery of our relationship by kissing Tammy, right in front of me!
Tammy looked up at Alexander , her face flushed from the kiss. “Do you remember the day we met?” She asked, her words coming out slurry. “Do you remember how I felt when I looked into your eyes, how I pulled you closer as we both explored each other bodies. Each thrust, was filled with love and each moan was filled passion.”
I turned to Alexander, with my hopes dashed. I could not care less about what his next action or word would be.
Alexander have her a stiff smile and shoved her hand aside.
“I know it will take some time to develop feelings for me again. I understand. And this time, I will not let you slip thriving My fingers. I will make sure I keep you by my side. For me to love,during the day and at night.” Tammy continued with her dirty talk.
“You will have to work hard to get my love back Tammy. And until you do, stay away from me.” Alexander said, his gaze never leaving Tammy’s face.
I was shocked, he was considering giving her another chance? Does he still feel something for her? Was he lying to me all along?
Tammy’s face twisted into a frown, “stay away from you? But if I stay away from you, how will I make you happy?” She asked, her voice turning conspiratorial. “I need to take care of your member every night, I need to have your seeds in me every night. So that I can give you an heir.” She said, to Alexander.
Her words sank into my ears,and it dawned on me. Tammy was trying to secure a spot in Alexander’s life, forever.
She wanted to get rid of me , forever.
“Control yourself Tammy, you can have him all go yourself.” Ben said, finally speaking up.
Mustering all the strength I had in me, I pushed the chair to the side and my plan worked, the chair broke and the rows tied around me got loose.
I scrambled to my feet and grabbed the gun on the floor and pointed it at Alexander.
“No Leila, put that gun away.” Alexander said.
“One more thing...” I said, looking into his eyes.
