Chapter 58:

Chapter 58:
Ezmeralda POV:
“Thank you so much for coming.” I smiled.

“The pleasure is all mine.” She smiled back and I noticed her teeth were starting to turn yellow.

“If you need anything, please let one of us know.” I said.

“You are Ezmerlada right? Queen of the dark witches?” She asked grabbing my attention.

“I am, I am assuming you are a white witch?” I asked, and she nodded.

“It is pretty cool to see you here. I’ve never seen anything like this before.” She said.

“Anything like what?” I asked.

“The races getting along. We’ve been in hiding for so long.. Last I had heard no one really coexisted anymore.” She replied.

“Well, things have changed. My mate is Ash, he is king of the wolves.” I stated proudly and I swear I could hear him puff his chest out.

“That is what some of your people have said. That is truly awesome. Are you all going to move together?” She asked.

“We haven’t really talked about it honestly. It just happened so we have a lot to figure out.” I replied. She was prying for information.

“Excuse me, may I borrow her? She hasn’t eaten all day.” Ash spoke. He laid a hand on the middle of my back and I swear I could melt.

“Of course, you must be Ash.” She smiled.

“I am, thank you so much for coming. I hope to speak to you in a little while.” Ash smiled. He gently pulled me away and guided me towards the stage. I looked around to see Michael was walking towards Adira and Michael was already guiding Mariah back.

“We found a few of them so far. What did she say?” Ash mind linked me.

“She said it was cool to see us coexisting and asked if we would be joining my coven with your pack. I told her it hasn’t been discussed.” I replied.

“So they are asking the same things.” Ash said.

“They are trying to figure out where we will be and who is joining who. I don’t like that.” I replied and he nodded. As we sat down I looked to see we were being served seared pork chops, bacon wrapped corn, pasta and rice. At the very sight of it my stomach started growling and I heard Ash laugh.

“This looks so good. Where is Natalie?” I asked. As soon as the words left my mouth the doors opened and in walked Natalie, Will, Odin, Thena and the faithfuls. I looked over to see the one I was talking to had a sour look on her face. She clearly didn’t like her.

“Mind if we join?” Natalie asked.

“We’ve been waiting. I made sure to keep a table clear right in the front for the rest of you.” Ash smiled.

“Thank you king, Natalie we will see you after the dinner.” Chloe spoke. They bowed before they went to sit down. Odin and Thena sat on the end allow Natalie to sit beside me.

“You did good with the food brother. It looks wonderful.” Natalie smiled. I knew her mind was spinning and I made a mental note to talk to Adira afterwards because I know she was doing some prying of her own. She will be able to know what they are up to a lot sooner than we would.

“I think things are going fairly well.” Natalie whispered.

“Me too, what did you do with your siphon?” I asked.

“That is one of the cool things about it, I’m wearing it as a belt.” Natalie beamed. I looked down to see a black belt with a buckle in the front.

“How?” I asked.

“In case I need it rather quickly. Adira can call hers to her and I haven’t learned how to do that yet and with everything going on I needed to learn something now.” Natalie replied.

“He is safe.” I whispered. Any parent would be on extra high alert right now.

“I know he is. Your mothers shield is quite unique. Yours is the hottest that burns but hers isn’t too far from it.” Natalie replied.

“You know about her shield?” I questioned.

“A little bit. As long as he stays in it, no one can touch him unless she permits it.” Natalie answered. I was now heavily curious about her shield and what all it could actually do.

“You know you can send yours to someone too.” Natalie whispered.

“What are you talking about?” I asked. Ash now had his attention on us.

“I read it in my mothers book. There wasn’t much about it but if someone is truly in immediate danger any witch with a fire shield can send it to them.” Natalie answered. I stared at her in shock. How did I not know about this?

“I’ve never heard of it before..” I whispered.

“That’s because we’ve never really been in a war so there was no need for it but I think we are about to learn a lot about ourselves that no one knew.” Natalie spoke.

Honestly I still needed to learn how Caspian can use his. I know it surrounds him and enhances when mine touches it but honestly, what all could it really do? We had to get the other witches far away before any of us practice anything because the last thing we need is for Victor to learn our tricks and be ready for them.

“Queen Ezmeralda, we have news.” Malachi whispered in my ear.

“Good or bad.” I stated.

“Good, most of the pack lands are protected. Your sister came across a black witch and captured her as well. She said she seems different.” Malachi said. I turned to look at him,

“Different how?” I pressed. Everyone at the table was now looking at him.

“She just said different. She didn’t try to fight, she said she’s a young girl.” Malachi answered. That doesn’t really make any sense..

“I’ll call her in a moment, please let me know when all pack lands have been protected.” I said. He bowed his head and walked off.

“We need to go see your sister.” My mother said.

“I know. Natalie, all witches can teleport yes?” I asked. I knew we could but I never learned how. We never really needed to.

“I’ll teach you after dinner. We have some to weed out first.” Natalie replied staring at someone. I turned to see all the ones we had spoken to were now sitting at the same table and they were staring at Jordan. Natalie was right, we needed to get them out of here tonight…
