Chapter 27 CHAPTER 27
Sabrina

“Please, I would like to take my bath alone,” I told Head Maid Penelope when the three Maids proceeded to the restroom after informing me that my bath was ready.

I am afraid I am going to throw up if the maid tries to wash me. It will only remind me of Kayden's hand.

“You should let the princess go alone.” Head maid Penelope said.

“And also Penelope. Just address me by my nickname. You called me Sabrina and I have always loved it” I said and she smiled.

She is not going to listen to me.

Is she?

It is written all over her face that she wouldn't address me the way I want.

When I was done bathing, I sat down in front of the mirror and allowed them to do what they wanted.

The big box was brought forward to the dressing table and Head Maid Penelope was the one who unboxed it. She brought out a stunning brown dress with stones used to design the front of the dress.

My mouth fell open in awe when I saw the way it flowed freely. These are the dresses I missed then. Because of Kayden, I can't even remember the last time I wore a beautiful dress.

I stood up and let the maid wear the dress for me. When they were done, Head maid Penelope instructed me to sit down again and they brought out the jewellery which was gold in colour.

A pair of gold heels was also brought forward for me to wear. When I finally looked at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't believe my eyes.

The dress reveals part of my breast and because the dress doesn't need a bra, my breasts become even fuller as if with a gentle push, they are going to spill out of my dress.

“Someone will be here to accompany you to see your father. We will take our leave now.” Head maid Penelope said and I was just too stunned to answer.

You are even finding it difficult to look at yourself in the mirror. Is everything okay Realith Zara, my wolf said and I smiled.

“Because this feels foreign. I know I should be angry but I can't help but marvel at my own self.

But you should know he did all these because he is giving you out. Zara reminded me and I rolled my eyes

Why would I forget that?

“I know and I doubt he even sees me at the party. I will talk to him before he can even make his way there.” I said and sat down on the bed. I didn't bother taking out my phone to check what was going on on the internet.

I closed my eyes and decided to sing a song in my head instead. I think more than two hours passed but I refused to fall asleep. I am scared of seeing Kayden again in my dream, holding a whip to beat me.

He will be there by now, waiting for me to show up. Even on his sickbed, his subconscious still haunts me.

Funny right? But it's not.

A knock came at the door and I quickly stood up from the bed and held the purse given to me.

“I am coming,” I said and walked towards the door, pulling it open, I wasn't expecting to see Vincent outside waiting for me.

Penelope said you will be taking me to…

My words faltered when my eyes fell on Vincent.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

It was nothing but the sound of my heartbeat. Vincent smells of mint mixed with sandalwood but that is not all. He was putting on a round-neck shirt that accentuated those muscles. He paired the top with black pants and he was holding a lighter in his hand.

He looks hot Sabrina Zara, my horny wolf said and I wish I could call her out right now to just take over my body instead. She changed too easily.

“Hello,” Vincent said and flicked his finger right in front of me. That was when I came back to earth.

I cleared my throat and closed the door before turning again to face me. Are you going to be the one to accompany me to see your father?

“Yes,” Vincent said in his deep baritone voice and I nodded as if nothing had happened.

I wanted to hide the fact that I was checking him out now.

I led the way while he followed right behind me. He didn't comment on my dressing and I looked back. When I did, Vincent was actually looking at me.

Even when I caught him, he wasn't looking away. I gave up instead and focused on where I was going. On getting to Father's chamber, the door of his room opened just in time and he stepped out alongside a man.

“Father,” I called softly and bowed my head. Father didn't look at me, instea
d, he turned to face the man beside him.

“Alpha Jared. This is Sabrina, my daughter.” Father said and I felt my knees going weak.
