Chapter 168

Chapter 168

When asked about the weight, what was she supposed to say?

If she said she liked heavy ones, Julie would hint to Alexander that she was materialistic. If she said she liked light ones, Julie would make Alexander think she was cheap.

What a scheming girl!

Especially with Julie looking all timid and nervous, as if she were Alexander's mistress on the side, afraid of being discovered by the legitimate wife.

Did she really see herself as a rival?

Lila felt that Julie was deliberately acting weak and pitiful in front of Alexander to gain his sympathy, and then use that sympathy to get something.

Last time at the club, didn't Julie use the same trick of playing pitiful to get Alexander's help?

Playing pitiful once for a hundred thousand dollars - what better business could there be?

Lost in thought, Lila heard Alexander ask her, "What are you spacing out for? Look at the items and pick quickly."

Lila snapped back instantly. "Oh."

"Miss Grace, take a look at which style you like, and I'll get it for Miss Grace." After speaking, Julie gazed at Alexander with affectionate eyes.

Lila was disgusted.

Even if this woman wanted to seduce her husband, couldn't she at least not do it right in front of her?

Lila took Alexander's arm and looked at him with a bright smile. "Honey, will you help me choose?"

Although she was trying hard to act cute, Alexander, who should have played along, completely ignored her and coldly dropped a line. "Pick whatever you like, can't you?"

Lila blinked her eyes, her voice turning sweet, "But I want you to pick for me."

Alexander didn't know what game she was playing, but somehow found himself looking at the counter, finally pointing at several bracelets in different styles and saying in a deep voice, "Take these out and let her try them on."

Julie glared at Lila before saying "okay."

Lila rolled her eyes internally.

Who did she think she was to glare at her?

"Miss Grace, let me help you try them on?"

"Miss Baker, don't you always call my husband Mr. Sinclair? Since you know I'm his wife, why don't you call me Mrs. Sinclair? Why do you keep calling me Miss Grace?"

Julie remained outwardly gentle and spoke slowly, "Last time at the hotel, I saw Miss Grace meeting parents with a young man. I thought Miss Grace was about to divorce Mr. Sinclair. After all, you two got married not because you loved each other. If Miss Grace has met someone she likes, she shouldn't force herself to stay with someone she doesn't love, right?"

Lila was somewhat choked by these words.

Though she was exploding inside, she maintained a calm exterior. "Miss Baker, you're joking. In all of Oceancrest City, who's more worthy of a woman's affection than my husband? Why would I give up Alexander, who's handsome, tall, and rich, for someone who's inferior to my husband in every way? I'm not blind."

Hearing this, Julie feigned surprise. "So Miss Grace, you really don't like Mr. Sinclair? You only married him because of his good conditions?"

Lila was confused for a second, then spoke, "Yeah, I don't like Mr. Sinclair. I like my dear Alexander. I like his handsome face, and I like that he's rich. You know what I like most about him?"

Julie didn't respond because she didn't know.

Lila hummed cutely. "What I like most about my husband are his abs. They feel so good to touch!"

Hearing this, Alexander's eyes flickered slightly as he narrowed them and glanced at the woman beside him.

When had she ever touched his abs?

He didn't remember that happening.

Julie looked at Lila in disbelief, her heart going crazy with jealousy.
