Chapter 117
Alexander gave a sarcastic smirk, "Is that so?"
"Yeah."
Then Mr. Mason turned to Lila, "I still don't know what to call you, miss driver?"
Lila was fuming inside.
Alexander was smart enough to see that Mr. Mason's behavior toward her was harassment.
But what did he do?
He just kept having her pour wine for him, not showing any intention of helping her at all.
Lila had to handle it herself.
She looked at Mr. Mason and responded with a question instead of an answer, "Aren't you already calling me miss driver? Just keep calling me that."
Mr. Mason, "Miss driver, that's such a cute thing to say. I really like it."
Lila had no interest in continuing this conversation with him.
Go to hell.
Someone at the table who couldn't stand it anymore stared at Mr. Mason and said in a seemingly gentle but actually sarcastic tone, "Mr. Mason, are you eyeing Mr. Sinclair's driver again? You're so fickle. How long did you even date your last girlfriend?"
Mr. Mason waved his hand, "How can she compare to Mr. Sinclair's driver? Let's not talk about her."
Then Mr. Mason looked at Lila again, "Miss driver, what's your phone number?"
Lila was completely repulsed.
But Alexander didn't care about her at all.
She had no power or influence, and didn't dare ruin the atmosphere of Alexander's business discussion, so she could only agree and was about to give her phone number.
Just as Mr. Mason was about to write it down, Alexander picked up the wine glass Lila had just filled.
However, as he lifted his hand, Alexander accidentally knocked over the juice glass in front of Lila. The glass made a sound, tipped over, and juice spilled everywhere, flowing along the table onto Lila's pants.
She instinctively stood up, shaking the liquid off her clothes.
Seeing this, Mr. Mason naturally couldn't focus on getting her number. He quickly grabbed some napkins and was about to personally wipe Lila's pants.
Without thinking, Lila stepped back to avoid him and said distantly, "Thank you, Mr. Mason, I'll go clean up in the restroom myself."
After saying that, she glanced at Alexander before walking out of the private room.
Mr. Mason's eyes followed her reluctantly. After hesitating for a few seconds, he said to everyone, "I'll go check on the miss driver."
Mr. Erik spoke up, "She's going to the restroom, what are you checking on? Stay and talk about the collaboration."
Mr. Mason brushed him off, "The project is a group effort. As long as you all agree on the terms, I'll put in whatever money I need to without hesitation. You all know I'm always easy to work with."
After saying that, he turned and left the private room.
Mr. Erik sighed, "This Mr. Mason, I really don't know what to say about him..."
After speaking, he raised his hand to call a server to clean the table.
Alexander remained silent the whole time, eyes lowered, his expression unreadable.
After the server finished cleaning and left, he looked at Mr. Erik, "Let's continue."
Mr. Erik immediately responded, "Ah, yes."
In the restroom.
No matter how much Lila cleaned the juice from her clothes, they wouldn't be as clean as before they got stained.
She sighed quietly.
Although her clothes were dirty, at least she didn't have to add that creep Mr. Mason's contact information, so it wasn't all bad.
But she was afraid that as soon as she went out, Mr. Mason would harass her again, so she thought about just staying in the restroom.
However, Lila suddenly heard someone outside calling, "Miss driver, miss driver?"
Hearing Mr. Mason's voice, she almost rolled her eyes to the sky.
This was too much!
This Mr. Mason had actually followed her to the restroom.
Someone washing their hands next to her heard the voice outside and asked their companion, "Who's that person outside calling for?"
