Chapter 114
As he spoke, Alexander leaned in, his thin lips deliberately lingering by her ear as he added a mocking and sarcastic title for emphasis, "Miss Driver."
Lila glanced sideways at his nasty expression, gritted her teeth, and muttered under her breath with slurred syllables, "Scumbag."
Alexander looked at her with dangerous eyes, narrowing them slightly, "What did you say?"
She smiled, "I said it's really hard—being a driver is such a tough job, can't even clock in and out on time."
The bell rang.
The elevator doors opened.
Alexander snorted coldly, withdrew his hand from her shoulder, and stepped out of the elevator first.
Lila rolled her eyes dramatically at his back and lifted her feet to follow.
She was angry, and even her steps quickened, directly overtaking Alexander.
When she reached the driver's side, Alexander, who had the car keys, had already unlocked the car.
Lila pulled open the driver's door, ready to get in, but her arm was suddenly grabbed and she was pulled aside.
She looked at Alexander in confusion, "What are you doing?"
Alexander snorted coldly and said condescendingly, "There's heavy traffic during rush hour. With your level of skill, the chance of you crashing is high. I don't want to miss a hundred-million-dollar contract negotiation because of your rookie driving."
With that, he jerked his chin toward the other side, "Get in the passenger seat."
Lila looked at him without moving, her eyes showing a stubborn streak.
Alexander raised an eyebrow, "What?"
She gritted her teeth and boldly questioned, "Can you speak nicely? Why do you always insult me?"
Alexander was dismissive, saying lightly, "Such strong self-esteem?"
"Don't you have any self-esteem?"
"Whether I do or not, does it make much difference?"
Lila smiled and mimicked his earlier tone, "You get in! Get in the driver's seat and drive!"
Hearing her curse at him, Alexander's expression changed drastically, and he called her name through gritted teeth, "Lila!"
She answered casually, "I'm here, what's up?"
He suddenly stepped closer to Lila. Caught off guard, her back pressed against the car.
Alexander's handsome face kept approaching hers, stopping about four inches away, his eyes glaring at her fiercely, "Are you crazy? You dare talk to me like this?"
Lila looked at him with innocent, beautiful eyes, her lips slightly curved, "See? When you get cursed at, you get angry, which means you feel insulted, and that shows you have self-esteem. Similarly, when you curse at me, I get angry too. And another thing—my skin isn't as thick as yours, so besides getting angry, I also feel hurt. So please speak nicely from now on and stop telling me to 'get lost'!"
Alexander watched her articulate argument, and the anger on his face gradually disappeared.
However, what replaced it was danger.
Before Lila could figure out what he meant, her chin was suddenly lifted, and immediately after, cool lips pressed against hers.
Her eyes widened instantly, and she raised her hands to push him away.
But Alexander anticipated her move and caught her hands, pressing them against the car.
He kept deepening the kiss, prying open her teeth, plundering every bit of air in her mouth, forcing her to struggle for breath with flushed cheeks, forcing her to gradually become compliant from her initial resistance...
Having punished her enough and vented to his satisfaction, Alexander finally withdrew contentedly.
As Lila gasped for fresh air, Alexander stepped back and looked at her coolly, "I told you to get lost, and you could curse back at me. So what, I kissed you—do you dare kiss me back?"
