Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Alexander closed his eyes and asked flatly, "So what if it hurts?"

Lila answered thoughtfully, "If it hurts too much, you can cry out. You don't have to keep holding it in."

"Will crying out make it stop hurting?"

"Well, it'll still hurt."

Alexander snorted dismissively. "Then why would I cry out?"

"Because people need to let their emotions out, otherwise keeping them bottled up inside will make you miserable."

"I don't have any emotions that need letting out."

After saying this, Alexander turned his head, looked straight into her almond-shaped eyes, and curved his lips into a defiant smile. "I only have desires that need letting out."

Lila felt completely helpless.

Why did he keep steering the conversation toward sex even when he was injured?

She stopped talking and used her hands to adjust his head, making him lower it.

Alexander was unusually docile, obediently letting her arrange him as she pleased.

Lila continued cleaning his wound, but still tried to slow down her movements as much as possible while getting it clean, so the physical pain wouldn't be so obvious for him.

After wiping away all the blood, Lila realized that the wound she'd caused was about two centimeters long—not exactly small.

Lila thought for a moment, then kindly reminded him, "The wound is pretty serious. Maybe we should go to the hospital after all?"

Alexander was clearly still holding onto his anger, and his tone was cold. "Just put some medicine on it, then you can get lost."

Lila didn't bother arguing about him cursing at her, only asking, "Why do you care so little about your own life?"

"It's my life. What's it to you?"

"I'm the one who hit you."

He lazily lifted his eyes, and when they swept over her, his cold gaze made it impossible to read his emotions. "So, what are you reminding me of? That I should get revenge and hit you too?"

Lila froze, thinking that wouldn't be necessary.

After all, even if she got injured, his head wouldn't instantly heal.

Besides, a cycle of mutual revenge would be endless.

While she was lost in thought, Alexander's cold voice sounded again. "Unfortunately for you, I don't hit women."

This actually made Lila feel relieved.

She stared at him obediently and promised, "Honey, I won't hit you again in the future. No matter what you do, I won't hit you again."

Alexander snorted coldly, clearly dismissing her promise.

She pressed her lips together and said nothing, silently applying medicine as he'd asked.

After finishing, Lila crouched on the floor to pack up the first aid kit, then glanced at him.

Alexander had closed his eyes at some point and was now leaning back on the sofa resting, his slender fingers pressed against his forehead, his brow slightly furrowed. He didn't look to be in a good mood.

That was understandable—no one would be in a good mood after getting injured.

Lila wondered if she should just leave.

Or should she try once more to convince him to go to the hospital?

Before she could decide, he suddenly opened his eyes, his cold and frightening gaze fixed on her. "Why aren't you gone yet?"

Lila was so startled she nearly fell to the floor.

She hurriedly got up and left with the first aid kit.

After going downstairs and putting the first aid kit away, Lila still felt uneasy. Thinking about the two-centimeter gash on Alexander's head, she felt very anxious. After hesitating several times, Lila took out her phone, opened Google, sat on the sofa and searched "what to do when head is bleeding from being hit?"

The results showed that for mild cases, you could clean it with iodine or hydrogen peroxide, then wrap it with sterile gauze. In serious cases, stitches were needed, along with ice packs and going to the hospital for a tetanus shot.

But it didn't say...

What counted as mild, and what counted as serious?
