Chapter 87 Holding Hands, Taking Her Home

Nathan was on the verge of a breakdown.

A police officer came in and walked up to him. "Mr. Windsor, someone has reported that you're suspected of property embezzlement as well as illegal drugging. You know the laws, but you broke them. We are now summoning you according to the law."

Accompanied by camera flashes from reporters, Nathan's legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, Celeste hurriedly rushed to Diana. "Diana, please let Nathan go,. I beg you. Whatever you want, we'll give it to you—company, house, or stocks. We'll return all the money to you!"

"Really?" Diana looked down at Celeste.

"Really!" Celeste nodded urgently. "We still have a lot of real estate and financial claims under our name. We'll give it all to you."

"When Oliver was pressuring you, didn't you say you had nothing left, and that's why you sold me off?" Diana retorted.

Celeste's pupils trembled, her body shaking violently. Even if the company went bankrupt, they would still leave a way out for themselves. How could they possibly give up all their assets?

Diana sneered, "You really would give me everything?"

"Yes, everything." Celeste nodded.

"I'll take it," Diana said bluntly.

"Then..." Celeste saw the police about to take Nathan away and was frantic. "What about Nathan? You'll let him go, right?"

"I never said I'd let him go," Diana said.

"Diana, you lied to me!" Celeste shouted.

Celeste, furious, got up and tried to scratch Diana's face but was stopped by people nearby. She could only watch as Diana smiled at her warmly.

Diana said, "Celeste, I'm just taking back what's mine! As for Nathan's fate, he brought it upon himself!"

She added, "By the way, remember to return my mother's jewelry. I'll take back what's mine, and I won't take what's not!"

Celeste cursed Diana, saying all kinds of nasty things, just like Aurora used to. No wonder they were mother and daughter.

"Diana, aren't you curious why you haven't seen your mother's family all these years?" Celeste, looking deranged, began to speak recklessly.

"Why?" Diana looked at Celeste.

"Because your mom and dad were together without family approval. You're an illegitimate child, an unacknowledged kid!" Celeste yelled.

Bethany found a piece of cloth from somewhere and stuffed it directly into Celeste's mouth.

"Shut up! Your mouth stinks!" He said.

Celeste struggled but was eventually taken away by the police.

When Trevor was arrested, he knew it was useless to beg Henry, so he knelt directly in front of Diana. He begged bitterly; it used to be her kneeling, but now he was the one groveling like a dog.

The press conference ended in a farce.

After this incident, Diana's previous scandals of kneeling and licking wine were cleared up. People began to change their views on her and felt sympathy.

On the other hand, although Oliver was not present, the events were relayed to him intermittently. He held the photos taken by reporters at the scene.

Diana, in her attire and under the spolitght, looked like a cold and aloof queen; dazzling and unattainable.

In Oliver's impression, Diana preferred plain clothes, looking gentle and lovely. Now, she was entirely different with a different outfit, resembling a strong liquor burning as it went down.

Men inherently had a desire to conquer, so Oliver used to want to break her pride and make her submit to him.

He looked at Diana and couldn't move away.

That was until he heard the door open, where he looked up to see Clara entering his office and quickly turned off the screen.

Clara walked around the desk and sat directly on his lap, hugging his neck and laughing lightly. "Your ex-fiancée is really something."

"What are you talking about?" He pretended not to understand.

"You don't know yet?" She sneered, "At the Windsor family press conference, she ruined Nathan. Nathan and Celeste were summoned by the police, and Windsor Group's stocks has already hit the limit down. I don't know how she made even Grandma look at her differently."

Clara originally thought Juniper would make Diana's life difficult, but she underestimated Diana's abilities!

She was furious. "I heard they're even taking her back to Evergreen City."

Oliver's body stiffened.

"What? You still care about her?" She asked.

"How could I? You're the only one in my eyes now." He said before kissing her.

The two had a passionate scene in the office, making even the secretary outside blush at the sounds.

After having sex, he held her and asked in a low voice, "Clara, when are you planning to introduce me to your family?"

"At Apex Global Enterprise's anniversary celebration, come back to Evergreen City with me," Clara said.

"Okay," He smiled.

He abandoned Diana and hooked up with Clara to get access to top-tier resources.

He wanted to climb higher, just like Henry. With power, Diana would also obediently listen to him.

Diana cooperated with the police investigation and went to the station to give a statement. When she left, it was already dusk.

After the beginning of autumn, the wind carried a hint of coolness, dispelling the summer heat.

In the lazy dusk, the evening breeze made everything soft and romantic. As se walked into the police station lobby, Simon rushed toward her, catching her off guard and crashing into her arms.

He hugged her waist. "Diana!"

"Simon?" She was surprised.

After not seeing him for many days, he had a neat short haircut, looking like a little man. "Did you miss me?" He asked.

"I did." She bent down and pinched his chubby little face. "What about you? Did you miss me?"

"Just a little bit." He was stubborn.

She was in a good mood today and kissed his little face. Simon blushed and ran away, shyly hiding behind Henry.

"Is everything settled?" Henry looked at her.

Diana nodded. "Temporary. The police said they would notify me if there were any updates."

Henry walked over and held her hand. "Then, let's go home."

His hand was large, rough but warm and comforting.

Home? What a warm word.

His hand tightly wrapped around Diana's, a strange warmth spreading from his palm to her heart, making her feel warm all over.

"Dad, I want to hold hands too!" Simon jumped up and held Henry's other hand.

Bethany leaned on the car window, watching the three of them walk over.

"Lucas, I'm so excited that I want to sing," He said.

"Feel free," Lucas said bluntly.

Lucas took a photo and sent it to Seraphina, while Bethany took one and sent it to Juniper.

Juniper was very excited to see this.

After Diana got into the car with Henry, her phone vibrated. Caleb had sent her a message: [I found some more information and sent it to your email. Check it out.]

Diana: [Thank you, Caleb.]

Being so close, Henry glanced down and saw the content on her phone, his face instantly turning ugly.
