Chapter 19 A Witch
Weylin walked into his office with a scrunched up face. He still can't get rid of his annoyance at Kelsey Lieven, the fiancé who just made his blood educate.
"That woman really ...." The man slammed the report on his desk loudly, too annoyed.
“Damn it, who the hell is she? Dare to say I'm not a man,” Weylin muttered in an irritated tone.
During that day, his mood was really messy and that was because of the work of a woman whose full name was Kelsey Anne Lieven.
She actually managed to make Weylin's day grow gloomy into the evening. Her words were so piercing that Weylin couldn't get them out of his mind.
With a completely unsightly face, Weylin rushed back to his parents' mansion. Weylin was the only son of the Malachy family who still had to live in Malachy's Mansion. It was also what always made the young man feel that justice had not come into his life.
The three younger siblings already have their own homes, even the youngest Keiran Malachy also lived in his own apartment.
"Why is your face so scary?" Zuria asked suddenly to make the Son surprised.
Weylin stopped in his tracks and turned to look at his mother, "There was a witch who made my day worse."
Zuria Malachy laughed suddenly, “Weylin, are you a child who is only four years old?”
Weylin replied, "Hm. She does look like an evil witch, Mother. Are you asleep by the way?"
"Yes, fine. As you wish. Already, why?" Zuria asked back while drinking the chamomile tea that her maid had just served her.
"Nothing. I wonder, when are we going to visit the Lieven family again?" Weylin asked.
Zuria's gaze that was filled with question marks was now starting to soften, "Are you looking forward to meeting Kelsey? Have you started liking him yet? Mother's true, she's a good girl."
Weylin laughed dryly at his mother's answer which was in the form of a question.
Good girl? Gosh, she's an evil witch with a cruel mouth, Weylin thought.
"Yeah, let's just say I can't wait to meet you with her. So when are we going there again? Our wedding is only four days away," Weylin replied.
Zuria chuckled. "I'm glad to hear that. Well, maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we'll be there."
Weylin nodded, he really couldn't wait to meet Kelsey, couldn't wait to sew up a woman's mouth so she wouldn't say words that hurt her ears anymore.
Meanwhile, in the residence belonging to the Lieven family, Andrew Lieven, the head of the household was trying to calm his wife who was crying non-stop.
"Never mind, honey. Everything is over. We can only wait for news. If indeed he can't be found, we can only resign ourselves to waiting for him to come back with us," said Andrew.
"It's my fault, Andrew. It's my fault," Leana chirped.
Andrew shook his head firmly, "This is also my fault. We blamed Kelsey. We were both wrong but now there's nothing we can do. Let's leave it to the authorities. Hopefully they can find her."
Leana cried even more in her husband's arms, who swiftly patted her on the shoulder to try to drive away their sadness for losing their only daughter.
Weylin Malachy was listening with disbelieving eyes from Andrew Lieven's explanation regarding the annulment of his marriage to Kelsey.
"Ansgar, I didn't know this would happen. Kelsey, she is. She has never had any problems with this engagement before.
She seems oblivious and agrees with this arrangement. And again, Kelsey has even had her wedding dress sized at your son's boutique," Andrew clearly felt guilty.
Ansgar was silent, he saw the sadness in his best friend's eyes and couldn't be angry about it. He was disappointed but still could not blame his best friend.
"Maybe she had such a serious problem that she ran away from home. Calm down, Andrew. It's okay," Ansgar replied.
Andrew Lieven was surprised, "You're not angry? A lot of money has been spent on this wedding and invitations have been sent out. We must have embarrassed you."
Andrew was very apologetic but still he couldn't possibly tell his best friend that his child was pregnant, he couldn't bring down his own daughter's reputation.
"Don't worry about it, Andrew. I understand. In fact, I know this is very hard for your family, you only have a daughter and now your daughter has disappeared," Ansgar said patiently.
In fact, the man already liked Kelsey and was very proud to have the girl as his daughter-in-law, but what can I do if things are like this.
He didn't know why Weylin had been silent all along. He never expected it at all. At their last meeting, Kelsey didn't seem to be having any problems. Her eyes even looked fiery with excitement to say spicy words to him.
Then why did she run away? Could it be because she was afraid of the threat her at that time?
Oh no. If it turned out that Kelsey ran away because of what he said, this meant that he had a hand in causing the girl to disappear. And if after the girl was found, he would definitely be killed by his father for causing their marriage to be annulled.
It was clear that Ansgar Malachy would never just let him go after finding out that he had made his family's beloved daughter-in-law disappear.
"Weylin, what are you doing?" Zuria asked as she saw that her son had been silent.
Weylin tried to smile but failed. Leana, who had not made a sound before, immediately said, "I'm sorry, Weylin. We never intended to cancel this wedding. We are also very sorry that this happened."
Weylin looked up to find everyone in the room apparently looking at him with concerned looks. They had apparently misunderstood the meaning of Weylin's silence.
Weylin said in a low voice, "Don't apologize, Madam. It wasn't your fault. Although I am disappointed, I will try to accept it."
Disappointed? Goodness Weylin, you really are so good at talking? Weylin thought.
Although the young man was a bit confused and feeling guilty about Kelsey's disappearance. However, he actually felt that this was a stroke of luck for him. He was happy happy, Of course.
With their wedding plans cancelled, Weylin was able to continue his search for the mysterious woman. If he was indeed lucky to find her, he would marry her instantly. He would take full responsibility for the woman and the child she was carrying.
But then again he thought. If the woman was indeed pregnant, he could marry her. But what if the woman was not pregnant? How could he make her fall for him? And the woman didn't know him. He was wearing a mask then.
Oh, damn it! Weylin cursed inside.
The journey to find women seemed quite long. However, when he imagined that he would have a small family together with that mysterious woman, his heart suddenly burst into fresh flowers.
Unknowingly he smiled.
"Weylin Malachy, why are you even smiling when you just lost your bride-to-be?" Ansgar Malachy shouted sharply.
