Chapter 198 Pregnant

Chapter 198 Pregnant

Justin didn't understand what Cameron meant, but he still chose to trust him for some reason - probably because Cameron had always been capable.

The key thing was that he had helped Olivia and him many times.

But Justin lay awake worrying, tossing and turning for hours before he finally fell asleep.

The next morning, when Olivia came out of her room, she couldn't believe what she was seeing - she actually saw Cameron making breakfast in the kitchen, wearing her apron.

Hearing the sound, Cameron turned around and smiled.

"Good morning."

"Why are you still here?" Olivia frowned, but the delicious smell made her mouth water.

Cameron's smile grew wider as he watched every subtle change in Olivia's expression.

He scooped up some food, deliberately picking out some beef.

"Eat up."

"Thanks." Olivia felt a bit embarrassed. "You don't need to keep busy either, sit down and eat. Leave the rest for Justin to make himself when he comes out."

Cameron had been waiting for Olivia to say exactly that.

He came over and sat down across from Olivia. "How does it taste?"

Olivia was honest. "It's really good. I didn't know you could cook so well."

In fact, before Cameron had lost his mind, he really was a good cook, but after he recovered, he hadn't had the chance, nor had he thought about cooking for Olivia.

Now he definitely had to seize every opportunity.

"As I said, if you want to eat something, just tell me anytime."

Olivia felt her pulse quicken, but she tried hard to suppress the feeling, pretending to be calm as if nothing was different.

Cameron felt a pang of disappointment and focused on his food, eating in silence.

Seeing Cameron like this, Olivia felt like she should give some kind of response, but she didn't know what to say.

Just as she was thinking about what to say, Justin came out.

Justin was still sleepy, rubbing his messy hair.

"Olivia, what did you make? It smells so good."

When Justin saw Cameron, he blurted out, "Why are you still here?"

Cameron was stunned. Everything he said last night seemed to have been for nothing. His mouth twitched. "Come eat first, while it's hot."

Sensing Cameron's threatening aura, Justin immediately woke up and remembered what Cameron had said last night.

He laughed awkwardly and started eating with his utensils.

Olivia glanced at Cameron but didn't say anything.

Cameron felt relieved. As long as Olivia didn't mind, things could pass.

After breakfast, Cameron didn't have a better excuse to stay, but he gave Justin the day off. "Stay home. You might have a lot of things to deal with soon."

Remembering what Cameron said last night, Justin chose to stay home.

Before long, Justin's phone rang, but Justin had just gone into the bathroom. Olivia answered it for him - the caller ID showed Charlotte.

"Charlotte, are you okay now?"

Charlotte was hiding in her room, having found a backup phone to call Justin. "I'm sorry, Olivia, my mom said such terrible things yesterday."

Olivia told Charlotte not to worry about it.

"How were you taken away yesterday? Did you see Ms. Harrison?"

"I..."

"Your phone is with Ms. Harrison."

Hearing Olivia's words, Charlotte gave up trying to make excuses. "Yes, I did see her, and it was because she said she wanted to formally apologize to Justin and things like that."

"At the time, she sounded really sincere."

"So I believed her, but I didn't expect that not long after I got to where she was staying, someone knocked me out from behind."

"This incident probably has nothing to do with her, right?"

But Olivia didn't think so. She remembered that Jessica really didn't care at all, as if she didn't care about Charlotte's life or death at all.

Or maybe Jessica knew something, which is why she didn't care.

Charlotte sighed. "It's all my fault for being so stupid."

"By the way, is Justin there?"

"He's in the bathroom. Should I get him?"

"No, no need. I think I hear footsteps in the hallway outside - I don't know if it's my mom eavesdropping. Olivia, can you meet me at Haven Healthcare Hospital at ten? And don't tell Justin yet."

Olivia wanted to ask what was going on, but Charlotte had already hung up.

Justin came out of the bathroom. "Olivia, why are you holding my phone? Did Charlotte call?"

"Yes, she called to say she's safe and that she's fine." Olivia hid the fact that Charlotte had asked to meet her at the hospital, which was convenient since she also needed to go for a prenatal checkup.

Olivia told Justin to stay home.

"When Sophie comes back, remember to call me."

Finding that Sophie hadn't come home all night, Olivia had tried calling her but couldn't get through.

When it was about time, Olivia changed clothes and went to wait for Charlotte at the city hospital entrance.

After a while, Charlotte appeared, dressed mysteriously with a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a mask all on. If Charlotte hadn't spoken up, Olivia really wouldn't have recognized her.

"Why are you dressed like this? Did you sneak out behind Mrs. York's back?"

Charlotte took off her sunglasses and smiled sheepishly. "Otherwise, I couldn't get out at all. Now come with me for a checkup first."

Seeing how nervous Charlotte looked, Olivia got nervous too.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I... I'll tell you later."

Seeing Charlotte pulling her toward the obstetrics and gynecology department, Olivia had a pretty good idea what was going on, and had a bad feeling. "Charlotte, you're not pregnant, are you?"

Charlotte blushed and said shyly, "I don't know yet. I need to get checked first."

"Olivia, just wait outside for me."

Olivia happened to be able to go find Avery for her prenatal checkup.

After their last collaboration, Olivia and Avery's relationship had gotten better and better. She could see Avery directly without an appointment, which also avoided many problems.

Soon, Olivia finished her prenatal checkup.

Avery smiled. "Ms. Harper, the baby is very healthy, but you still need to rest more. Only when mom is well will the baby be well."

Olivia understood this.

But a lot had happened recently, causing her emotions to fluctuate greatly, especially with Justin's situation.

Until they found out who the real killer was, Justin was still a suspect. She was afraid of getting a call from the police station, like yesterday morning, saying Justin had been arrested.

Olivia left Avery's office and put away the prenatal checkup report.

"Olivia!"

Charlotte came out, looking everywhere for Olivia. "Are you not feeling well?"

Olivia shook her head. "How did the checkup go? Are you pregnant?"

Charlotte's face turned even redder.

"Yes, I'm pregnant. The doctor said almost two months."

That meant she and Justin had conceived that very night.

The next second, Rowan came out, his face was thunderous with rage. "Get rid of the baby!"
