Chapter 733

Chapter 733

Despite Liberty's earlier online searches, the events were so deeply buried that she couldn't find anything.

Margaret had always discouraged her from digging into adult affairs, so Liberty eventually stopped trying.

Right now, Brady was captivated up in Liberty's infectious smile.

"Liberty, your wish for our family to be together is about to come true."

Liberty nodded eagerly.

"Yeah, Brady. Then I can have both Mom and Dad again."

Meanwhile, Raymond and Margaret arrived at the Seymour Group. Ryan was busy in his office, typing on his keyboard.

He looked up at the sound of footsteps and was surprised to see Margaret there too.

"Mr. Seymour, Ms. Neville, you're both here."

Ryan set his work aside and stood up quickly.

Margaret stepped in front of Raymond and got straight to the point.

"So, Ryan, have you figured out what happened back then?"

Ryan nodded.

"Ms. Neville, I haven't uncovered everything yet, but I have found some clues."

Margaret and Raymond moved to the computer.

"Show me what you've got."

Raymond sat down, wearing a serious expression, and scrolled through the computer.

Ryan hesitated, then said, "Mr. Seymour, after the recent negative press about Stella, the Brown Group's internal systems collapsed. Their staff is in chaos and the company is on the brink of bankruptcy."

"That's how I got the chance to dig into what happened back then."

Margaret frowned, puzzled by the connection to the Brown family.

"Ryan, what are you saying? Are you suggesting the Brown family was involved?"

Margaret had always thought the events were solely between the Neville and Seymour families. She had never considered any other possibilities.

"Ms. Neville, I can't say for sure yet, but what I've found suggests the Brown family might be involved."

"When the Brown family's systems were fully operational, we couldn't find anything. Now that their systems in disarray, I've found some clues."

"However, it will take more time to uncover the whole truth."

Margaret's expression turned icy at that.

"If the Brown family was involved, then it was likely an elaborate scheme on their part."

Although Margaret had formed a theory, she didn't want to jump to conclusions without solid evidence.

Raymond hesitated before he spoke.

"From what I know of the Brown family, it is possible. When my mother was engaged to their family, my father opposed it. He didn't want me to be with Stella."

"If the Brown family was desperate to secure the engagement, they might have targeted my father and framed your parents, achieving two goals at once."

"Not only would your parents be wrongfully accused, but it would also drive a wedge between our families, giving the Brown family a chance to secure the engagement."

Ryan found their analysis plausible as he listened.

"Mr. Seymour, while this theory makes sense, we lack evidence. I've tried digging deeper, but it's been difficult."

Raymond frowned, puzzled.

"Ryan, if the Brown Group's systems collapsed, why is it still so hard to investigate?"

Ryan had already considered that.

"Mr. Seymour, I suspect that not all of the Brown Group's data was lost. Mr. Brown probably moved key data and company shares into other names before the collapse."

"That would explain why some information remains inaccessible. I believe Mr. Brown has a backup plan and could make a comeback."

Raymond narrowed his eyes. He had never meant to oppose the Brown Group, but if they had been involved in past, he could not ignore it.

"Ryan, keep digging."

Raymond had a strong feeling that Dorian was behind the past events, but he needed evidence before he could seek revenge.

"Understood, Mr. Seymour. I'll work overtime on this investigation, but given how long ago it was, I can't guarantee how much I'll uncover."

Margaret felt guilty about making Ryan work extra hours.

"Ryan, I appreciate your hard work."

Ryan smiled.

"Ms. Neville, it's no trouble. Even though we haven't fully uncovered the whole truth, we can at least confirm your parents were wrongfully accused."

Margaret was moved. After all these years, there was finally a crack in the case.

Once the truth was revealed, her parents could be exonerated.

"Ryan, if we clear my parents' names, you'll be the hero. I'll make sure to thank you properly."

Ryan felt embarrassed.

"Ms. Neville, it's my duty. Mr. Seymour's matters are my matters. I'm just doing my job."

With that, Ryan returned to his work.

Raymond and Margaret moved to another office.

Raymond looked at Margaret hopefully.

"Maggie, it seems the events back then were not what we thought. Once the truth comes out..."

Margaret cut him off.
