Chapter 730
Chapter 730
"Let's get out of here," Margaret said calmly. They turned and walked away together.
Elodie, who had been watching, marched straight toward Stella and addressed Diana and Dorian impatiently.
"Diana, Dorian, you had better keep a close eye on Stella this time. Don't let her cause any more trouble. If she does, not even a miracle will be enough to save her."
With that, Elodie turned and walked away.
Now, only Dorian, Diana, and the rest of Stella's family remained on the rooftop.
Diana held Stella tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"Stella, why would you think like this? You have your mom and dad. This isn't the end of the world. We can leave and start over together."
Stella snapped back to reality as she realized that Raymond had deceived her. She stared at Diana and Dorian in disbelief.
"Mom, you all conspired to deceive me, didn't you? Now look at me. Why did you lie to me? Why didn’t you just let me die? What's the point of living now?"
As soon as Stella finished speaking, Dorian stepped forward and slapped her across the face.
"What nonsense are you talking about? We raised you with so much effort, and now you talk about dying? Do you think that's fair to us?"
"You're in this situation because of your own actions. You got involved in messy relationships and now want to blame others?"
"Stella, I'm warning you. When we get home, you're staying in your room and not stepping out. If I hear about any more trouble, I will punish you severely."
Diana quickly stepped in front of Stella, shielding her protectively.
"Dorian, how can you say such a thing? Stella was truly about to kill herself—she wasn’t pretending. Aren't you afraid she'll jump off for real if you talk like this?"
"I'm getting old, and Stella is my only daughter. If she dies, I won't live either."
Dorian was preoccupied with concerns about the company. He turned and glared at Diana.
"You're old enough to know better than this. You've spoiled Stella rotten. Do you know the company is in chaos right now? I need to get back and handle things."
"If things aren’t resolved soon, the company will collapse, and you two won't even have food to eat. Then, let's see how much scheming you can do."
Diana was stunned, unable to believe what she was hearing.
"Dorian, I can't believe you. Stella is on the brink of suicide, yet all you care about is the company. Is it really more important to you than Stella?"
"Would you truly be okay with Stella dying as long as the company survives?"
Diana stood up, furious, glaring intensely at Dorian.
Dorian looked visibly exasperated.
"So what if it is? You've spoiled Stella rotten. But I am a middle-aged man. I've worked my entire life to build this company, and now, because of Stella, I've lost everything."
"Why should I still love her? Diana, let me tell you this—I've had a mistress for years. I stayed with you only out of respect, but now, I no longer want to come home. Stella has ruined everything, and you had better keep a close eye on her. Without her, you might not survive, but I will. I even have a son with my mistress."
Diana was stunned, as if she had been struck by lightning. She looked at Dorian, pale and in disbelief.
"What did you just say? You have a mistress—and a son?"
Diana couldn't believe her ears. The revelation was shocking.
Dorian looked indifferent, raising an eyebrow as if he didn’t care about Diana and Stella's feelings.
"Yes, I have a mistress—and a child. Diana, Stella's situation is entirely your fault. And I've already transferred some of the company’s shares. Even if the Brown Group collapses, I'll still have enough for us to live comfortably. As for you two, you might end up homeless."
Diana collapsed to the ground, unable to process what she had just heard. She had always believed Dorian to be a capable and family-oriented man.
They had been married for nearly 30 years, and Dorian had always been attentive to her, never mentioning divorce or anything extreme.
How could such a dependable man be keeping a mistress?
Diana had never doubted Dorian, but now, hearing this, she simply couldn’t accept it.
"Dorian, you're not even human. How could you do something so vile?"
Dorian sneered, completely indifferent to Diana's feelings.
"Not human? I think the truly despicable ones are you two. The Seymour family never approved of either of you. You two shamelessly held on, and now you're reaping what you’ve sown."
"I warned you not to get too involved with Raymond. He's completely unpredictable. But you didn't listen, and now you expect me to clean up your mess? Absolutely not."
With that, Dorian turned and walked away.
The rooftop was now left with only Diana and Stella. Diana sat on the ground, pale and lifeless, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Stella was equally shaken by the shocking revelation. She had believed her parents were her last source of emotional support, but now she realized that Dorian had another family.
After everything that had happened, it was clear that Dorian no longer cared about her or Diana. She truly had nothing left.
