Chapter 75 Go Beg Sophia
Heath's face was already looking grim as he opened his mouth.
He couldn't even remember how he left the private room.
All he knew was that he felt completely humiliated in front of Benjamin.
Before coming here, Heath had promised Isabella that he'd take care of everything.
But now, the image of Sophia's stubborn silence despite her injury was stuck in his mind.
Sure, Sophia had always bullied Isabella in the past, but this time, it was definitely Isabella's fan who messed up.
Sophia was the victim.
How could he ask Sophia to just let it go?
And Benjamin had made his position clear.
The White Family wasn't going to let this slide.
Outside the hotel, Heath's assistant saw him coming out and quickly approached. "Mr. Brown, how did it go? Did you reach an agreement with Benjamin?"
Heath irritably tugged at his tie and got into the car without a word.
Seeing his expression, the assistant quickly shut his mouth and didn't ask anything else.
As Heath's assistant, he knew how much Heath doted on Isabella.
Poor Sophia, dragged back home by her parents just to be used for their gain.
Even if she cut ties with the Brown Family, she'd still face struggles and harm.
But he was just an assistant.
He could only keep these thoughts to himself.
Sitting in the driver's seat, he occasionally glanced at Heath in the rearview mirror, wanting to speak but hesitating.
Heath noticed his gaze and coldly said, "If you've got something to say, just say it."
"Mr. Brown, should we head back to the office or home?"
Heath rubbed his tired forehead and coldly said, "To the office."
Benjamin wouldn't let the woman who threw hot water on Sophia off the hook.
If this blew up, Isabella's reputation would definitely take a hit.
In a few days, it would be Isabella and Zander's engagement party.
Nothing could go wrong now, or the Martinez Family would be pissed.
Isabella marrying into the Martinez Family was already a big step up.
If this wasn't handled right, Isabella would face criticism in the future.
Heath sighed irritably, leaning back in his seat to think of a solution.
Just then, his phone rang.
It was Isabella calling.
Heath stared at her name flashing on the screen, feeling a sudden urge to hang up.
But in the end, he answered. "Isabella? Why are you calling so late?"
"Heath, did you talk to Benjamin? What did he say?" Isabella asked impatiently.
Heath pursed his lips and was silent for a moment.
Not hearing a response, Isabella's heart sank, and she began to sob. "I know Sophia won't forgive me. Benjamin has every right to go after my fan since he's Sophia's husband…"
Heath was already irritated by the situation. Hearing Isabella's sobs made him even more frustrated.
"Isabella, I've seen the video online," Heath suddenly said, cutting off her crying.
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
Heath continued, "You told me Sophia wasn't hurt, but I saw the full video. The hot water splashed on her arm."
"Is that true? Sophia got hurt? Is it serious? Does she need to see a doctor?" Isabella's voice was full of surprise and concern.
Somehow, Heath felt a sense of relief.
Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as he thought.
He knew Isabella wasn't the type to stop at nothing to achieve her goals.
"Isabella, Benjamin really cares about Sophia. The White Family isn't going to let this slide. We need to figure out another plan."
"Heath, I can't think of anything else. Everyone online is attacking me. If I don't clear this up, I might have to leave the entertainment industry!" Isabella cried even harder.
Heath's heart ached.
He leaned back in his seat, unsure how to comfort her.
After a long silence, he slowly said, "Why don't you try talking to Sophia? If she clears things up, this will blow over quickly."
"No way!" Isabella almost screamed.
She gripped her phone tightly, her eyes filled with anger and malice.
She had gone through so much to get rid of Sophia. How could she possibly lower herself to beg her?
Absolutely not!
Isabella narrowed her eyes, filled with venom.
Heath sighed, helplessly saying, "It's the best solution right now. Even though Sophia is now married into the White Family, she won't completely ignore her family ties. After all, we are her family."
As soon as he said it, Heath froze.
His already grim face turned even paler.
How could he forget that Sophia had already signed an agreement to sever ties with the Brown Family?
From now on, Sophia was no longer part of the Brown Family.
At first, everyone in the Brown Family thought Sophia's request to cut ties was just to get their attention.
But after waiting for days without her coming back to apologize, they realized how determined she was.
Heath had once softened towards Sophia, even considering selling Novalume Group shares to save the Brown Group from bankruptcy.
But then Isabella came to him crying.
Under his relentless questioning, Isabella finally revealed the truth.
Sophia had taken her favorite necklace.
In that moment, any remaining softness Heath had for Sophia vanished completely.
"Isabella, listen to me. Your reputation is the most important thing right now."
Isabella's sobs continued in his ears, making Heath feel both heartbroken and helpless.
Isabella cried silently.
Just as Heath was about to continue persuading her, Flynn's voice came through the phone. "Go to the White Manor tomorrow and talk to Sophia. I'll go with you."
Isabella's voice was full of grievance, "But Sophia said she never wants to see me again. I'm afraid…"
Flynn added, "Don't worry, I'll be with you."
Heath let out a sigh of relief.
At the Brown Villa, after hanging up, Isabella looked at Flynn with tear-filled eyes, pitifully.
"Flynn, I'm scared… Sophia always blamed me for taking away mom and dad's and Heath's love. She said she never wants to see me again."
"Don't be afraid. I'll be with you. Sophia won't do anything to you," Flynn said gently, patting Isabella's head to comfort her.
Seeing Isabella's aggrieved and fearful look, Flynn's heart ached.
The next morning, Flynn waited downstairs early.
However, Isabella still hadn't come down.
After waiting for about an hour, Flynn started to get impatient.
He checked the time and quickly went upstairs to Isabella's bedroom door. "Isabella, are you ready?"
He was met with silence.
