Chapter 555 Niamh White
Five years later.
The White Manor.
"Niamh, stand still right now!"
Sophia looked at Niamh White, who was covered in mud from head to toe, and she was furious.
Niamh obediently stood in place, but her big eyes were darting around as she frantically signaled Benjamin, who was sitting on the sofa, for help.
"Benjamin, save me! Your precious daughter is about to fall into Sophia's clutches!"
Receiving Niamh's plea for help, Benjamin's heart immediately softened.
His thin lips moved slightly, and just as he was about to say something, Sophia glared at him.
Benjamin fell silent for a moment, then decisively chose Sophia over Niamh.
"Sophia, don't be angry. Be careful not to upset yourself."
Then, with a righteous air, he said to Niamh, "Niamh, what did I teach you before? How could you make your mom angry again?"
Sophia let out a light snort. She glanced at Niamh and said, "Stop looking around. Your dad can barely save himself. Go face the wall and think about what you did wrong!"
Niamh's little mouth turned down, and tears were about to fall.
Wasn't she her parents' treasure anymore?
They didn't love her anymore!
Niamh cried for a while, but when no one came to comfort her, she pitifully sniffled.
She ran to Sophia on her short little legs, her bare little feet leaving a trail of small footprints on the smooth floor.
"Mommy, I was wrong!"
Two clear little handprints instantly appeared on Sophia's skirt.
Her temple twitched twice. Sophia took a deep breath and silently told herself: This is her own daughter, she can't throw her out!
"What did you do wrong?"
"I shouldn't have gotten myself so dirty," Niamh reflected seriously.
Sophia: "...So you do know you're dirty? What else?"
"What else?"
Niamh scratched her head, looking confused. "I can't think of anything else. Mommy, I'll never do it again."
Sophia's heart softened for a moment. Not minding that she was all dirty, she bent down to pick her up and walked toward the bedroom.
She said sternly, "If you ever dare to run off without telling us again, don't bother coming back!"
Niamh nodded obediently in agreement, but she still didn't understand why Sophia was so nervous about her going out alone.
For as long as she could remember, Sophia and Benjamin had warned her over and over that she couldn't run around by herself.
Every time she went out, at least two bodyguards would follow her.
It made the kids at kindergarten too scared to be friends with her.
After the bath, Niamh was once again a fair, tender, sweet-smelling little princess.
Sophia helped her change into newly bought cartoon pajamas and kissed her on the cheek.
"Baby, I won't arrange so many bodyguards to follow you anymore."
Niamh's eyes lit up, but before she could get excited, she heard Sophia continue, "But you must tell Mommy and Daddy every time you go out, okay?"
"I know, thank you, Mommy, I love you, Mommy!" Niamh raised her head and planted a kiss on Sophia's face.
After coaxing Niamh to sleep, Sophia gently kissed her forehead and tiptoed out of the children's room.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw Benjamin's tall figure standing at the door.
Sophia glanced at him and nestled into his arms, her cheek gently rubbing against his chest.
"I told Niamh not to run around anymore. You should remove all the bodyguards from now on."
"Okay, whatever you say." Benjamin lowered his head and kissed the top of her head.
"Now that the GeneCipher Society has basically been eliminated by us, we don't have to worry about them targeting Niamh anymore. Our daughter can finally have a normal childhood."
Sophia felt genuinely happy.
Niamh was premature.
When Sophia was nine months pregnant, the remaining forces of the GeneCipher Society suddenly tracked them down. They tampered with Sophia's car, causing her to have a minor accident.
That incident terrified Benjamin.
Fortunately, both Sophia and Niamh were fine in the end.
Since then, Sophia and Benjamin had been secretly investigating the whereabouts of the GeneCipher Society's remaining forces.
Niamh had inherited Sophia's medical talent from a young age. By age three, she had memorized all of Robert's medical knowledge.
When Robert found out, he was so excited that he picked up Niamh and spun her around, deciding to let her inherit his legacy.
But no one expected that a new servant at Robert's place was actually someone planted by the GeneCipher Society, and they almost kidnapped Niamh.
Fortunately, Sophia discovered it in time; otherwise, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
From then on, Sophia became extremely protective of Niamh, worried that something might happen to her.
To put her mind at ease, Benjamin arranged for many bodyguards around Niamh.
Benjamin also said with a smile, "By the way, do you know where Niamh went today?"
"Where did she go?" Sophia looked up in confusion.
Benjamin took Sophia's hand and led her to her garden.
Sophia froze, somewhat unable to believe what she was seeing.
