Chapter 54 I Only Have One Sister, Isabella!
Benjamin raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised. "You really want it? Those are all the White Group's trade secrets."
Sophia blinked, fully aware of the sensitive nature of the information. "Come on, babe, just give it to me. I swear I'll give it right back."
She extended a finger, lightly hooking it around Benjamin's, her tone soft and pleading.
Benjamin looked into Sophia's sincere eyes, struggling to maintain his stoic expression.
Sophia's endearing and innocent demeanor, coupled with her clear, watery eyes, melted his heart instantly.
"Babe."
"Alright, alright! I'll give it to you tomorrow morning."
"You're the best, babe! I love you!" Sophia's heart leaped with joy as she threw herself into Benjamin's arms, planting a kiss on the corner of his lips.
Benjamin's body stiffened, his ears turning a noticeable shade of red.
He lowered his gaze, looking at her adorable face, and his once cold heart turned to mush.
Did she just say... she loved him?
Did he hear that right?
Before he could ask, Sophia had already retreated, burrowing under the covers with only her round little head peeking out.
"Goodnight, babe!"
Benjamin shook his head helplessly, his heart full of unspoken emotions.
Sophia had mastered the art of "use and discard."
A certified heartbreaker.
The next morning, Sophia woke up early, choosing a simple yet cute dress from her closet before heading downstairs.
As she opened the door, she saw a familiar black Maybach parked outside. Benjamin, tall and imposing, stood leaning against the car with his arms crossed.
In the morning light, Benjamin's tailored black suit accentuated his straight posture, exuding an irresistible allure.
The early sunlight cast a warm glow on his chiseled features, softening his usually stern appearance.
Hearing footsteps, Benjamin slowly lifted his gaze.
He looked at Sophia's cute face, his eyes glinting with an unreadable emotion. "Get in the car. I'll take you there."
Sophia hesitated, then quickly waved her hands. "No need, I can take a cab."
"Get in." Benjamin's deep voice left no room for argument.
He opened the car door, standing straight and watching her intently.
Sophia bit her lip, her gem-like clear eyes sparkling with excitement.
She quickly ran forward, afraid he might change his mind, and slipped into the car.
Seeing her obediently get in, Benjamin lowered his raised hand, a barely noticeable smile playing on his lips.
Soon, the car stopped near a café by Stellar University.
As Sophia was about to get out, she felt a hand grip hers.
She turned back, confused, looking at Benjamin. "What's wrong?"
Benjamin pressed his lips together, feeling the warmth of her soft skin under his palm.
He shook his head. "Nothing. Just wondering if you need my help."
If he stepped in, things would be much easier.
He was decisive and would never give his enemies a chance to breathe.
The Brown Family... they were nothing to him.
Destroying the Brown Family would be as easy as lifting a finger.
Benjamin expected Sophia to accept, but she shook her head firmly. "No need. I want to handle it myself. Thanks, babe."
Benjamin's face darkened, his lips pressing into a thin line.
Sensing the sudden drop in the atmosphere, Sophia quickly added, "Handling them doesn't require your skills. That would be overkill!"
Benjamin's icy expression softened instantly.
Sophia sighed in relief, feeling both amused and exasperated.
She hadn't expected Benjamin to have such a childish side.
She leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his strong waist, nuzzling her cheek against his firm chest. "You're the best, honey, besides Robert."
Benjamin gently rubbed her fluffy hair, a faint smile on his lips. "You're my wife. If I don't treat you well, who will? Now go on, I'll be right outside. Call me if you need anything."
"Don't you have work?" Sophia asked, surprised.
Benjamin chuckled softly, "You're more important."
Sophia was his wife.
He wouldn't allow anyone to hurt his woman for any reason.
Sophia's mouth opened slightly, surprised by Benjamin's serious declaration of affection.
Blushing, she slipped out of his embrace and got out of the car.
As soon as her feet touched the ground, she paused, then quickly turned back, planting a swift kiss on his soft lips before he could react.
Before Benjamin could respond, Sophia darted into the café.
Benjamin, finally coming to his senses, looked a bit dazed.
He watched Sophia's cheerful figure disappear, touching his lips with a low chuckle.
Inside the café, Sophia looked around but didn't see Flynn.
She walked to a corner, ordered an orange juice, and quietly sipped through a straw, gazing out at the mysterious black Maybach parked outside, feeling a warm glow in her heart.
Just as she was finishing her juice, a shadow fell over her.
Before she could look up, a familiar mocking voice sounded above her. "Sophia, what are you doing here? Are you stalking me? You creep!"
Flynn's voice was loud, filled with disdain, drawing everyone's attention to Sophia.
Everyone was stunned, their eyes filled with admiration.
This girl was stunning!
Even the campus beauty of Stellar University couldn't compare.
No, she could rival the top actresses in Hollywood.
Sophia slowly raised her eyes.
She looked at Flynn standing before her, her expression indifferent, showing no emotion.
The Browns had always been this self-righteous.
They only believed what they wanted to believe.
Flynn, seeing her silent, assumed she was embarrassed at being caught, and his arrogance grew. "Sophia, I heard you ran off with some old man and became his kept woman? How shameless can you be! The Brown Family is ashamed to have a daughter like you!"
"And I've told you before, I only have one sister, Isabella. Don't even think about getting close to me. Even if you stalk me, I'll never acknowledge you!"
As soon as he finished, the onlookers' expressions changed.
Their gazes at Sophia turned mocking and contemptuous.
"So young, running off with an old man and becoming his mistress. How shameless!"
