Chapter 525 When Will She Understand
Joshua had been watching from the side the whole time. Only when he heard Isolde say they were fine did he quietly breathe a sigh of relief.
Seeing Isolde about to get up from the hospital bed, he quickly pressed her back down. "Just lie there properly and don't move around."
Isolde's eyes darted around, looking a bit embarrassed. "Sophia said I'm not injured. I think I could totally get up and walk around right now."
In her mind, Sophia's word was more reliable than anyone else's.
"No way. You lie there properly. You still need to do a complete full-body checkup. You got hurt on my film set, so I have to take full responsibility for you."
Sawyer coldly glanced at Isolde and Joshua, who were showing off their affection right in front of him, and rolled his eyes dramatically.
He was clearly the one who was hurt worse, so why didn't he see Joshua saying he'd take responsibility for him?
Joshua really had no humanity when it came to the opposite sex!
Just then, a sharp pain suddenly shot through his leg. Sawyer couldn't help crying out, and his body jerked up from the hospital bed.
Sophia withdrew her hand and glanced at him coolly. "Your kneecap is dislocated. I need to adjust it for you. It might hurt a lot."
Sweat was already beading on Sawyer's forehead. He gritted his teeth hard. "I'm fine. Keep going."
Hearing his cry, Joshua couldn't help but laugh.
"Come on, Sawyer, is it really necessary? Grimacing in pain like that—you have no image at all."
Don't think he didn't knew—Sawyer was definitely putting on a show of being in pain just to get Sophia's attention.
Sawyer clenched his jaw tightly. Hearing this, he shot Joshua a cold look.
"If you think it doesn't hurt, why didn't you catch Isolde when she fell?"
Sure, he was playing up the pain a bit, but he would never admit that in front of Sophia.
He was already happy that Sophia was willing to treat him as a patient now, putting aside past grudges to treat his injuries.
He didn't dare hope for anything more.
Joshua glanced at Isolde and sighed heavily. "I wanted to, but I was too far away at the time."
He had rushed over the moment Isolde got into trouble.
But the distance was too great, and Isolde's body fell too fast—he simply couldn't catch her in time.
He had just started running when he heard a dull thud.
Sawyer snorted coldly and said bluntly, "I think you need to get your fortune read. How come something goes wrong every time you make a movie?"
The last time he acted in Joshua's film was two years ago.
That time, their entire crew got trapped in the mountains and nearly lost their lives.
This time too.
Both times involved him and Isolde.
He didn't know whether it was his luck or Isolde's that was bad.
He decided that once he recovered, he'd definitely find a reliable fortune teller.
He couldn't keep getting injured like this.
Joshua was amused by his anger. "I really want to know, too, why I'm so unlucky every time!"
Was it easy for him to make a movie?
Besides Sawyer and Isolde, several other crew members were injured, too.
Fortunately, their injuries weren't too serious either.

Sawyer was a popular Best Actor, and Isolde was a trending celebrity. If anything happened to them, the entertainment industry would probably explode.

She had the nurse apply medicine to Sawyer.
Sawyer had several bruises from the impact. Fortunately, he had no internal bleeding.
After the medicine was applied, Sophia said something to them and prepared to leave.
Joshua immediately stopped her. "Sophia, they really don't have any other injuries?"
Sophia turned to look at him and smiled meaningfully. "Why don't you check them yourself to see if they have any other injuries?"
Joshua was Robert's student after all. Had he forgotten all the medical knowledge Robert taught him?
Joshua awkwardly touched his nose. "I'm just too worried to think straight right now."
Sophia acknowledged this with understanding. Her gaze wandered between him and Isolde.
Joshua suddenly felt a bit embarrassed and waved at Sophia. "Alright, alright, no need to trouble you. I'll do it myself."
With that, Joshua ignored everyone else's gaze and walked straight toward Isolde.
"Isolde, let me check your body."
Isolde looked confused. "Sophia said I'm fine, which means I really am fine. Why are you being so unnecessary? Tell me, do you not trust Sophia's medical skills?"
Isolde's eyes narrowed slightly, full of threat.
As if the moment he nodded, Isolde would immediately turn on him.
Joshua felt like he'd dug himself a big hole.
What could he say now?
He sighed inwardly, wondering how Isolde could be so insensitive about romantic matters.
When would Isolde finally understand his feelings for her?
