Chapter 510: Sophia, I Love You
When Sophia removed her makeup, took a shower, and came out of the bathroom, Benjamin was already lying in bed. He was leaning against the headboard, arms pillowed behind his head, looking lazy and relaxed.
Seeing Sophia come out in her pajamas, the corners of his lips curved up slightly as he waved at her. "Come here."
Sophia obediently walked over to him. As soon as she got close, she suddenly felt a tightness around her waist, and then her whole body fell into Benjamin's embrace. Sophia couldn't help but let out a surprised cry, instinctively reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck.
"What are you trying to do!" Sophia's voice carried a hint of playful complaint, and her casual words were enough to make anyone's heart melt.
Benjamin tightened his arms around her, his dark eyes growing deeper. He chuckled softly and lowered his head to kiss Sophia's forehead. "Honey."
"What?"
"Honey."
"What is it?"
"Honey, honey..." Benjamin buried his face deep in Sophia's shoulder, nuzzling gently. His short hair brushed against the skin on Sophia's cheek and behind her ear, sending tingles through her.
Sophia couldn't help but scrunch up her neck, laughing as she scolded him, "Benjamin, aren't you done yet?"
"Not done. I could call you that for a lifetime, and it wouldn't be enough." He wanted to call her by this name for the rest of his life. If there was a next life, he hoped he could meet Sophia again and marry her again.
Sophia couldn't suppress the smile on her lips as she tilted her chin up and kissed the corner of his mouth. "Mr. White, did you eat sugar today? Why is your mouth so sweet?"
While her heart swelled with sweetness, there was also a touch of bitterness. With Benjamin's family background and looks, if he hadn't been drugged by someone's scheme, his life might have been smooth sailing. There would even have been many girls who liked him, treating him as their ideal man.
But when she first met Benjamin, everyone said he was a violent, ruthless person who was dying. However, it was precisely because of this that she was able to meet the best version of him.
Benjamin scooped Sophia up in his arms and walked toward the balcony. Sophia's body suddenly lifted off the ground, and she nervously wrapped her arms around his neck. "Where are you taking me?"
"The balcony."
Sophia was puzzled, not understanding what was worth going to the balcony for. It was already late at night. Although the lights in the villa's courtyard were still on, what was there to see outside?
"You'll know when we get there." Benjamin smiled mysteriously and brought Sophia to the balcony, placing Sophia on his lap.
"The weather's nice today." Benjamin looked up at the starry sky. The weather was indeed nice. A full moon hung in the sky, and twinkling starlight illuminated the entire night. It was truly beautiful.
"Honey, you're acting weird. Spill it! Are you hiding something from me?" Sophia's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at Benjamin sideways.
Benjamin awkwardly touched his nose. "Wait a bit longer. I have a gift for you."
As soon as he finished speaking, there was suddenly a loud bang from outside. Then fireworks exploded in the sky, brilliant and dazzling. Sophia looked out the window in surprise, not blinking at all. "So beautiful..."
Benjamin hugged her tightly from behind and nodded in agreement. "Indeed very beautiful." Except he wasn't talking about the fireworks, but about Sophia. Sophia's eyes kept watching the fireworks, while his gaze never left Sophia's face.
Sophia turned her head, her eyes shining brightly as she looked at Benjamin. Their faces were already very close, and when she turned her head like this, she directly kissed Benjamin's lips. Their soft lips pressed together, and both of them froze for a moment.
Benjamin was the first to react, taking the initiative to cup the back of Sophia's head and deepen the kiss. Sophia felt dizzy and couldn't quite process what was happening. The brilliant fireworks illuminated their profiles. As the kiss deepened, their breathing gradually became one.
It wasn't until Sophia could barely breathe that she pushed against Benjamin's chest. She felt like all her strength had left her body, as if she were hanging on to Benjamin. Her cheeks were flushed, and her kissed lips were slightly swollen. Her lively and clear eyes were now misty, adding a touch of allure to her appearance.
Benjamin wasn't in much better shape. One hand held Sophia's slender, soft waist, while the other gently stroked her smooth, long hair.
"Sophia, look up."
Hearing his words, Sophia slowly raised her head. Following Benjamin's gaze out the window, she saw that as the fireworks finally faded, they formed words in the sky.
"Sophia, I love you." Followed by a big heart. It must have been specially customized by Benjamin.
Sophia couldn't help but laugh softly. "Mr. White, you've got one trick after another. Who taught you this?"
"Chase," Benjamin said without changing his expression, throwing Chase under the bus just like that.
Sophia helplessly put her hand to her forehead. She had guessed it was Chase. Only Chase would come up with these fancy things. But this time, he did well.
Sophia reminded Benjamin, "Chase has been with you for so many years. You should give him a raise."
