Chapter 278 Do You Think You Can Just Enter My Wife's Room?
Sophia took Benjamin to her room.
Her room was the best one in the entire villa. Robert and her senior brothers adored her and had specially reserved it for her.
The room's decor was very girly.
As soon as Benjamin walked in, he caught a familiar sweet scent, exactly the same as the one on Sophia.
He looked around, feeling his heart flutter.
So this was where Sophia had lived for many years.
He could almost imagine what Sophia looked like growing up.
Her room had a large floor-to-ceiling window facing south. Sunlight poured in, warm and comfortable.
The curtains swayed continuously in the breeze.
Against the wall stood a large cabinet filled with all sorts of strange and unusual items.
They seemed completely out of place with the room's decor.
Benjamin walked over and stood in front of the cabinet, looking inside.
At that moment, Chase, who had finished throwing up and followed them in, looked at the cabinet and couldn't help but stare in amazement.
His eyes widened in shock, filled with disbelief.
The next second, an excited cry burst from his mouth,
"These are all globally limited edition models! There's even a complete set of out-of-print ones!"
Who didn't have a few hero dreams when they were young?
Although these toys were all fictional characters and items from anime and movies, their significance to many people went far beyond that.
They were more like a kind of faith.
Chase was extremely excited, his hands clenched into fists, barely able to resist rushing in immediately.
Sophia explained with a smile, "These were all birthday gifts from my senior brothers. Ever since I came here, they've never missed a single year."
To be fair, Sophia felt she was luckier than many people.
Because she had met Robert and her senior brothers.
And now, she had also met Benjamin.
Benjamin raised his eyebrows and smiled too, "You like these things?"
He found it somewhat incredible.
These were usually things boys liked.
Don't girls like cute and pretty things?
Sophia laughed out loud, hugging his arm, a hint of nostalgia flashing in her eyes, "I don't like them at all! But my senior brothers think I do. They believe that what they like must be the best things in the world."
So they gave her their most precious, favorite things as gifts.
Although it was somewhat amusing, this sentiment made Sophia feel warm.
"I see." Benjamin raised his eyebrows, his slender fingers pointing at the cabinet, "Are there gifts from Matthew in here too?"
"Yes. But these are gifts from Joshua."
Sophia walked to the spot by the window, opened the cabinet door, and showed Benjamin.
"These are from Matthew."
Benjamin looked closely and found they were all certificates for various properties. Just the villas alone numbered more than a dozen.
Benjamin: "..."
Indeed, this was Matthew's style.
Sophia opened the other cabinet door and pointed at the various keys inside, saying, "These are from Gregory."
Chase, standing outside the door, quietly stretched his neck to look inside and nearly dropped his jaw.
These were all keys to limited edition cars!
So incredibly wealthy!
For the first time, he deeply realized that Sophia really wasn't some poor person.
Sophia owned more than a dozen properties, enough cars to overflow an entire garage, and was the second-largest shareholder of the Lumina Group.
Any single item Sophia casually took out could buy the entire Brown family, couldn't it?
What was the Brown family thinking?
He knew the Brown family was blind, but he didn't expect them to be blind to this extent.
If Sophia casually took out just a little something, would the Brown Group still need to sell their daughter?
The fact that Sophia never helped them from beginning to end must mean she was completely disappointed in them, right?
Thinking of Sophia's experiences, Chase began to feel heartbroken again.
Sophia had suffered too much injustice at the Brown family.
Fortunately, Sophia had met Benjamin.
Chase sighed, then took advantage of Sophia and Benjamin not paying attention and tried to enter the room to get a closer look at those limited edition models and toys.
However, just as he took one step inside, Chase suddenly felt a strong killing intent coming from the room.
That killing intent carried a bone-chilling coldness that made his back go cold.
He slowly looked up and immediately met Benjamin's slightly narrowed eyes.
Benjamin's deep eyes flashed with a sharp, cold light that made one's heart tremble with fear.
The foot he had stepped out instantly froze in mid-air. Chase smiled awkwardly and quickly pulled his foot back at the fastest speed.
"Mr. White, I just wanted to go in and take a look. Do you agree?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Chase suddenly felt the atmosphere wasn't quite right.
Because Benjamin's expression had become even colder than before.
He slowly walked toward the door.
His steps were steady. Though silent, they seemed to heavily stomp on Chase's heart.
His eyes widened. Before he knew what was happening, the door was closed.
Benjamin didn't hold back when closing the door. Chase only felt a gust of wind hit his face.
Then the door slammed shut.
If he hadn't dodged quickly, his nose probably wouldn't have survived.
When Chase came to his senses, he heard a low, cold voice from inside the door.
"My wife's room - is it somewhere you can just enter as you please? Get lost, and don't let me see you."
Chase: "..."
He was wronged!
He just wanted to look at those limited edition models.
Although he had only glimpsed them hurriedly, he still saw many out-of-print models inside.
Those models couldn't be bought on the market even if you wanted to.
Chase had always wanted to collect a complete set, but after all these years, he still hadn't managed it.
He never expected to see a complete set here. He was so excited for a moment that he forgot this was Sophia's room.
But Benjamin was really being petty.
Getting jealous of everyone.
Benjamin was lucky to have met someone as good-tempered as Sophia. If it were any other woman, she would have gotten fed up with him long ago.
Complaints aside, Chase could only think these thoughts silently in his heart and didn't dare say them out loud.
Chase sighed heavily, looking completely defeated as he walked out.
It seemed there was no chance to see those limited edition models today. He'd better go outside for a walk and not get in their way.
His bonus had already been docked for the next six months.
If it got docked any more, how would he save money to get married?
In the room, only Benjamin and Sophia remained.
Sophia smiled helplessly and took him to the study.
Her purpose in coming here was to look for some medical books.
Robert's study was completely different from the outside decor - it had a vintage style.
The study's walls were covered with many precious famous paintings, priceless treasures.
Most of the books on the shelves were medical-related. Any random book could shake the entire medical world.
Because most of the books here were also out of print.
