Chapter 234 You Just Kissed Me
Sophia has no sense of crisis - when she's sleepy, she can fall asleep anywhere, no matter where she is.
He was worried that Sophia might doze off at the stairway. What if she fell?
If Sophia knew what he was thinking, she would definitely glare at him hard.
She wasn't that stupid. She could still manage this short distance.
Sophia's steps were a bit unsteady, but she at least made it downstairs.
In the kitchen, food was warming in the pot, clearly prepared especially for her.
In the small kitchen, the lighting was warm-toned, illuminating every corner and also warming Sophia's heart.
She smiled and reached out to get the food, but a hand beat her to it and brought it out for her.
"Go sit outside like a good girl, let me handle this," Benjamin said softly behind Sophia.
Sophia obediently sat at the dining table, waiting for Benjamin to serve her.
"Can you tell me now what exactly happened? What's wrong with my blood?"
Benjamin sat down in front of Sophia, his deep eyes looking straight at her.
Sophia was very hungry and ate much faster than before.
When Benjamin asked this question, Sophia was busy chewing the food in her mouth.
Her fair little face puffed up slightly, like a cute little hamster, adorable and well-behaved.
Her long, curled lashes trembled slightly. She silently chewed and swallowed the food in her mouth before roughly explaining what happened.
Sophia originally didn't want to tell Benjamin, but he was too smart.
He could tell at a glance that she was hiding something from him.
This kind of thing could be hidden for a while, but not forever.
After listening, Benjamin's expression wasn't as serious as expected. Instead, a smile played at the corners of his mouth. "So you're saying my blood can cure the poison in your body?"
Sophia wanted to ask if he was missing the point, but still obediently nodded. "Sort of. I'm not one hundred percent sure yet."
"Why would this happen? Does eating those medicines change everyone's blood?" Benjamin asked the question on his mind.
Sophia slowly shook her head. "I'm not really sure either. My master taught me the medicine formula, but I've never taken those medicines myself."
Sophia awkwardly touched her nose, not expecting things to develop this way.
"Sophia, this is a good thing. There's nothing to worry about." Benjamin suddenly grasped Sophia's wrist, interlocking their fingers, his eyes full of gentle warmth.
How wonderful.
He could finally do something for Sophia.
After learning that he had taken the life-saving medicine prepared for Sophia, his heart was full of guilt.
But he was powerless, not knowing how to make it up to her.
Now, he could finally give back to her openly.
"But the medicine in your blood has already been diluted. I'm not sure how much will be needed."
Sophia's brow furrowed slightly, her eyes full of worry.
"It's okay. As long as it can cure you, everything is worth it." Benjamin's warm palm gently stroked the top of Sophia's head, his lips curving slightly.
The tenderness in his eyes was almost overflowing.
Meeting his gaze, Sophia couldn't help but feel her nose tingle. "Honey..."
"Be good. It's not like we're parting forever. No need to be so sad." Benjamin laughed helplessly. How could his wife be so adorable?
Even her crying face was so cute.
Sophia glared at him hard, then continued eating.
No matter what, things weren't settled yet. There was no need to guess wildly.
She'd study it more carefully tomorrow to see if she could find anything.
After dinner, Benjamin took Sophia for a walk in the courtyard to help her digest before returning to their room.
Benjamin lay in bed, holding Sophia tightly from behind, his chin resting on top of her head, his deep eyes full of soft light.
Sophia in his arms was petite and lovely, her body giving off a faint fragrance that was simply a great torment for him.
But now, at least there was light at the end of the tunnel.
As long as the poison in Sophia's body was cured, he wouldn't need to hold back anymore.
The days of abstinence were simply too painful. He looked forward every day to these days ending soon.
Thinking this, Benjamin's hand holding Sophia tightened.
Sophia was thinking about the same thing.
Benjamin's chest was burning hot. Even through a layer of fabric, she could clearly feel the heat coming from Benjamin's body.
Especially a certain part of Benjamin, which was particularly hard and hot.
She couldn't ignore it even if she wanted to.
Realizing what it was, Sophia's cheeks gradually turned pink. She bit her lip, her heartbeat speeding up uncontrollably.
Fortunately, Benjamin didn't do anything to her, just simply held her.
Held her all night long.
She wasn't well-behaved when sleeping, always moving around. When she woke up, Sophia found her hands and feet all draped over Benjamin, hugging him tightly.
Benjamin's legs were slightly bent, his hard, warm arms holding her waist tightly, his eyes closed, his hair casually falling on his forehead, softening his cold aura somewhat.
Sophia's fingertips gently traced his refined features, his high nose bridge, his beautifully shaped thin lips. Every feature was almost perfect, as if favored by the creator.
Sophia's clear eyes rolled, and suddenly having an idea, she lifted her head and brought her lips close, kissing Benjamin on the lips.
She quickly pulled back.
But just as her lips withdrew, Benjamin, who should have been sleeping, suddenly opened his eyes, grasped her wrist, and flipped her beneath him.
Benjamin's deep eyes were unreadable, but they carried an instinctively dangerous aura.
Sophia shrank her neck slightly, blinking her innocent big eyes at him.
"Honey."
Benjamin's voice carried the hoarseness of just waking up. "You just kissed me."
"I didn't!" Sophia continued playing dumb.
Benjamin chuckled softly, slowly leaning down close to Sophia's lips. "I need to kiss you back."
"I didn't..." Before Sophia could finish speaking, her lips were blocked.
Benjamin's kiss came like a sudden storm, carrying Benjamin's unique crisp scent, conquering her lips and teeth.
His lips were completely different from his person - soft with a hint of coolness, gradually prying open her teeth, his momentum suddenly changing.
The back of Sophia's head was firmly held by a large palm, her delicate body also tightly trapped by Benjamin, unable to move, only able to let him take what he wanted.
When the kiss ended, Benjamin showed no abnormality except for his eyes darkening a bit.
But looking at Sophia, she was a complete mess.
Her lips were kissed red and swollen, with a glistening sheen, adding a few degrees of temptation.
The corners of her eyes were tinged with red, a layer of mist rising up, making those eyes more hazy, making one want to treasure them.
She looked too beautiful right now.
