Chapter 217 Ten More Kisses
A dark gleam flickered in his deep eyes, his gaze growing more and more intense.
An indescribable restlessness was rising within him.
Benjamin lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on a certain area that was slowly changing, and he couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh.
He had no idea when these days of restraint would finally end.
After all that effort, Benjamin was covered in sweat.
He wrapped Sophia's body tightly in a bath towel, carried her back to the bedroom, then returned to the bathroom.
Cold water from the shower head poured down over him, driving away the burning heat in his body.
Benjamin braced his arm against the wall, the veins at his temple bulging from restraint and control.
After a long while, the restlessness finally subsided.
When Sophia woke up, it was already bright outside.
More precisely, it was already the afternoon of the next day.
She stretched lazily, her slender, fair arms emerging from under the covers—for a moment, it was hard to tell which was whiter.
As she moved, she suddenly realized something was off.
Looking down, she discovered her clothes had been changed.
Without even thinking, she knew who had changed them. Sophia's face flushed red as she pulled the covers over her cheeks, hiding under the blanket. Whether from heat or embarrassment, her face was burning hot.
This was the scene Benjamin walked in on.
He chuckled softly, walked to the bedside, and gently tugged at the covers.
Sophia gripped them tightly, so he couldn't pull them away. Benjamin cleared his throat and said, "Still not coming out? Are you trying to suffocate yourself?"
Sophia stirred, slowly pulling down the covers to reveal a pair of watery eyes.
Her eyes were clear and bright, with a hint of embarrassment.
"Why didn't you wake me up last night?"
Benjamin smiled and ruffled her hair, explaining, "You looked so tired, so I didn't wake you."
Sophia bit her lip, not daring to look at those eyes full of amusement. "But, but you shouldn't have bathed me!"
How embarrassing!
Benjamin leaned down, moving close to Sophia's ear and murmuring softly, "Mrs. White, weren't you the one who said it would be nice if someone bathed you when you fell asleep? Your husband was just fulfilling your wish."
"I was just saying that casually, you shouldn't have taken it seriously!"
Sophia shot him a playful glare. Just thinking about him carrying her to the bathroom last night made her face burn.
"I take every word you say seriously." Benjamin's expression was focused and sincere, not seeming false at all.
Sophia's heart felt like it had been struck hard, beating faster.
"Oh right, what time is it? Am I going to be late?" Sophia suddenly remembered she still had to go to the set.
Benjamin held her back, reassuring her, "Don't worry, they're recasting the second male lead in your crew, so you don't have any scenes these few days. You can rest well."
"Recasting?" Sophia's mouth fell open in shock, and suddenly what happened yesterday flashed through her mind.
Seeing what Sophia was thinking, Benjamin nodded, a flash of cold killing intent passing through his eyes.
"I was busy inspecting projects before, so I never went with you to the set. If Cillian hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known that my Mrs. White was so popular on set."
Though Benjamin's tone was calm, Sophia still detected a hint of jealousy in it.
She laughed and wrapped her arms around Benjamin's neck, smiling, "Mr. White, are you jealous?"
"Yes." Benjamin answered frankly, "So, Mrs. White, how do you plan to make it up to me?"
Sophia thought for a moment, then brought her lips close to Benjamin's. "Then, how about ten more kisses?"
Looking at Sophia's alluring lips, Benjamin's eyes darkened. He cupped the back of her head and began to kiss her.
His kiss was gentle, softly sucking and licking at Sophia's lips, but without any excessive movements.
Sophia blinked, looking at the face so close to hers. All she could hear seemed to be the sound of their heartbeats and their intertwined breathing.
Benjamin slowly opened his eyes too, meeting Sophia's gaze.
His eyes filled with a smile as he deepened the kiss.
After coaxing Sophia to sleep, Benjamin carefully got out of bed and went to the living room to make a phone call.
He glanced at Cillian, who was sprawled on the sofa sleeping, then at the mess on the dining table that hadn't been cleaned up yet, and sighed helplessly.
Cillian was sleeping soundly when he suddenly heard someone calling him, "Cillian, get up."
"Stop it." Cillian rolled over, burying his face in a cushion, wanting to keep sleeping.
However, as he slept, Cillian's body suddenly lifted into the air.
He jerked awake to find his upper body had already left the soft sofa and was suspended in mid-air.
Turning his head, he met Benjamin's gaze that seemed capable of killing.
He froze for a moment, instantly wide awake, and hurriedly got off the sofa, heading toward the dining table. "I, I'll clean up right away!"
"Stop." Benjamin sat on the sofa, beckoning him over and indicating he should sit across from him.
Cillian nervously swallowed, but intimidated by Benjamin's presence, he sat back down.
"Second brother, what's up?"
"Tell me, these past few days on set, has that man been bothering Sophia?" Benjamin rubbed his forehead, somewhat irritated.
If Joshua hadn't stopped him, he would have gone to the set with Sophia long ago.
Then he wouldn't have to hear about what was happening with Sophia on set from others.
But what could he do? Joshua was Sophia's senior, practically family, and he didn't dare offend him easily.
"Oh, so that's what you want to know! Second brother, don't worry, I've been keeping strict watch these past few days. I absolutely haven't let that man touch a single hair on Sophia's head... except during filming."
"During filming? There were intimate scenes?" Benjamin's eyes turned cold.
But Cillian didn't think much of it, not taking it seriously. "It's filming—isn't physical contact normal? Besides, they're playing a couple in the show."
"A couple?" Benjamin gritted his teeth, his deep eyes narrowing slightly, releasing a cold light.
No wonder Joshua wouldn't let him go to the set.
Sensing something was wrong, Cillian immediately explained, "It's not that intimate, just hugging at most, not even kissing. Plus, the guy playing the second male lead probably won't be coming back for several days."
"What happened?"
Cillian briefly explained what happened yesterday afternoon, then propped his chin on his hand and sighed, "I never knew Sawyer was such an impulsive person. If this gets posted online, it'll probably start another fan war."
Yesterday's scene was too chaotic. He only knew that Sawyer had beaten up Alvin, but didn't know the specific reason.
