Chapter 208 Protecting Sophia
Olivia felt her heart aching, "Isabella, please don't do anything foolish. That bastard Zander, we don't need him anymore. Mom will find you someone better in the future."
Isabella lifted her face, forcing out a smile, but her expression was full of bitterness.
Before, her appearance was pure and delicate, so when she made this expression, it was quite pitiful.
But now, her face was too thin. When she made this expression, it looked somewhat eerie instead.
"Mom, I don't blame Zander. Anyone who heard that misleading audio would think I'm that kind of vicious bad woman."
By the end, Isabella couldn't continue and started crying with her hand covering her mouth.
Olivia held her in her arms with heartache, gently patting her shoulders and back, "Good Isabella, don't cry, Mom's precious baby! You're right, this is all Sophia's fault! If it weren't for her, you wouldn't have to suffer so much!"
Olivia blamed everything on Sophia.
After returning to her room, she was furious. She took out her phone, found the number Heath had given her before, and dialed it.
Sophia had just finished filming a scene and was about to rest when a bottle of water suddenly appeared in front of her.
Sophia slowly looked up and saw the man standing in front of her.
"Here, have some water." Sawyer looked a bit uncomfortable.
"No need, thank you." Sophia politely declined.
She didn't want any more involvement with the Brown family.
Sawyer's hand stiffened slightly, a bitter smile crossing his lips, "Sophia, I just want to care about you, I mean no harm. You don't need to be so guarded against me."
"I'm not guarding against you, I just don't want to cause unnecessary misunderstandings." Sophia looked at him calmly.
Sawyer had no choice but to withdraw his hand.
After a moment of awkward silence, Sawyer suddenly remembered something and said, "Flynn is here. He wants to see you and apologize to you in person. Are you willing to see him?"
"No." Sophia frowned, a bit impatient, "He's already apologized to me, but I also said I don't want any more involvement with you all."
Sawyer lowered his eyes in defeat, murmuring, "Sophia, do you have to be so heartless? The Brown family may not have treated you well, but we weren't that bad either?"
Sophia laughed in anger and shot back, "Not that bad? Indeed, you only made me live in Isabella's closet, let even the servants mock me, no matter what I did, everyone could rush to call me a worthless piece of trash... and finally, you packaged and sold me to the White family. You were so good to me!"
Sophia's tone was calm, without a trace of emotion in her eyes, but her words were like knives stabbing into Sawyer's heart.
He suddenly didn't dare to meet Sophia's eyes, lowering his gaze for a long time without saying another word.
Sophia chuckled softly, tilting her head to look at him, "What? Can't speak now? I've said before, I don't care about those things anymore, and I don't owe the Brown family anything. My only wish is that you never bother me again. That's all."
"Sawyer, what are you doing?" Cillian walked over angrily, standing in front of Sophia and blocking her completely.
He stared at Sawyer, the fury in his eyes seeming ready to burst out at any moment.
Sawyer opened his mouth, the words of explanation stuck in his throat for a long time.
Cillian sneered, "Stay away from her from now on, don't let me see you near her again!"
Sawyer was displeased and asked in a low voice, "This is between me and Sophia, why are you interfering?"
"Sophia is my brother's wife! If anyone dares to bully her, I won't let them off! Besides, she's already cut ties with the Brown family. What more is there to say between you?"
Before, Cillian had considered Sawyer his idol, but ever since learning he was also from the Brown family, all of Cillian's good feelings toward him disappeared.
He was now representing Benjamin in protecting Sophia and absolutely couldn't let any man get close to her.
Not even Sophia's biological brother!
The Brown family people were either bad or stupid, not a single good one among them!
Sawyer was left speechless, not knowing how to defend himself.
He just wanted to win Sophia back, to tell her they had done wrong before and wanted to apologize.
That was all.
But Sophia clearly didn't want any more involvement with the Brown family.
Looking at Cillian standing in front of Sophia, Sawyer suddenly felt this scene was familiar.
It seemed like when Sophia had just been brought back to the Brown family, every time Isabella showed a wronged expression, Flynn would do this, unhesitatingly standing in front of her, pointing at Sophia...
His heart suddenly ached. Sawyer left in disappointment, "Sorry for disturbing you."
Watching Sawyer's departing figure, Sophia frowned.
But she quickly returned to normal.
Cillian slowly turned around, smiling, "Sophia, how did I do?"
Despite being twenty years old, Cillian looked as childish as a kid.
At this moment, he was like a helpful child in elementary school asking the teacher for praise after doing a good deed.
Sophia stood on her tiptoes and gently rubbed his head, the corners of her mouth lifting, "You did well."
"Can I get a reward then?" A hint of anticipation flashed in Cillian's eyes.
The corner of Sophia's mouth twitched slightly as the scene from this morning at the hotel, when Benjamin indirectly asked her for a kiss, suddenly flashed through her mind.
What was wrong with the White family people?
Why were they all so childish?
Sophia chuckled and asked, "What reward do you want?"
"Do you still have those throat lozenges you gave me before? I've been practicing vocals lately and hurt my throat a bit. I have a concert in a few days, and I'm afraid I'll disappoint my fans."
"Yes, I'll give them to you when we get back to the hotel tonight. But I just saw some herbs on the mountain. Throat lozenges made from those herbs might work even better. After we finish filming, I'll go pick some to bring back."
"Leave such a small matter to me. Just tell me where, and I'll go pick them." Cillian patted his chest in assurance.
After finishing filming that evening, Sophia took Cillian to where the herbs were.
Cillian had been diving for fish and climbing trees since childhood - he wasn't afraid of anything. His injury last time was purely accidental.
This time, he quickly got the herbs down.
Sophia looked up. Cillian stood in front of her with the herbs, smiling at her proudly.
"Sophia, am I amazing?"
"Amazing!"
Sophia cooperatively gave him a thumbs up.
