Chapter 201 Reading the Script
Many actors in the entertainment industry know this - Joshua's productions are absolutely guaranteed quality.
So even if it means going to a place where communication is difficult, they're willing to do it.
This rainstorm left many people injured to varying degrees, and Joshua felt terrible about it.
This was the only way he could make it up to them.
Isolde wiped away her tears, then suddenly thought of something. She looked up at Joshua, her eyes sparkling, "Joshua, I actually know someone who's perfect for this role, but... she's not in the entertainment industry."
Joshua immediately perked up, "Who is it?"
"It's someone you know too, Joshua."
Joshua looked confused.
He couldn't remember anyone like that around him.
Isolde helplessly touched her forehead and reminded him, "Joshua, don't you think there's no one in this world more suitable for this role than Sophia? From the moment I first saw Sophia, the script's description of the third female lead came to mind."
Joshua froze for a moment, then suddenly understood.
He couldn't help but laugh, "You're right, I overlooked her. I was only looking for people within the entertainment industry and ignored the people right beside me."
How had he not thought of it?
This character was clearly written with Sophia as the model.
"Is this really appropriate? Ms. Brown studied medicine - she has nothing to do with acting. Can she... really do it?"
As a professional agent, Sophia's face would be a huge advantage in the entertainment industry.
But being an actor isn't just about looks.
It's also about acting skills.
Joshua waved his hand dismissively, "Don't worry about that, Sophia will definitely be fine."
After all, Sophia was someone he had personally trained, and she had natural talent for acting.
If his mentor hadn't forcibly stopped him back then, Sophia would have already been pulled into the entertainment industry to act.
Having found the right person, the main thing now was to convince Sophia.
Without further delay, he said goodbye to them and hurried off.
In the suite, Benjamin was holding Sophia and kissing her when the door was suddenly pushed open.
"Benjamin, I..."
Seeing the two people embracing and kissing on the bed, Joshua had barely started speaking when he froze.
Benjamin noticed someone had entered and immediately pulled the blanket over, covering Sophia completely and holding her tightly in his arms.
His sharp eyes stared directly at Joshua, "Get out!"
"How was I supposed to know you two were making out? Sophia, I have something urgent to discuss with you."
Joshua turned around, feeling somewhat innocent.
He had been in such a hurry, thinking Sophia wasn't awake yet, so he just pushed the door open. He really didn't expect... to see something he shouldn't have.
Sophia was wrapped up tightly, her face pressed against Benjamin's chest, feeling both helpless and amused.
Her clothes were perfectly fine - why did he need to wrap her up so tightly?
"What else do you want?" Benjamin asked in a cold tone.
Sophia pushed his shoulder and emerged from his embrace, smoothing out her slightly wrinkled nightgown, "Joshua, did something happen?"
Joshua slowly turned around and handed the script to Sophia, "Sophia, do you remember this script?"
Sophia took it and flipped through a couple pages, "Of course I remember, this is your favorite script."
Joshua's eyes lit up as he walked over and sat on the bed, "Sophia, I've run into some trouble recently and was hoping you could help me out."
"What can I help with?" Sophia asked, puzzled.
Joshua said seriously, "You can help me a lot! Here's the thing - our crew's third female lead recently had an accident, and I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement in the industry, so..."
"You want me to help you recommend someone? I'll ask Sean later to see if the company has any suitable candidates."
Joshua glanced at Benjamin and lowered his voice, "No, I want you to play this role. You can look at the script - this third female lead character is very likable, and you'd be perfect for it."
"But I have no plans to enter the entertainment industry." Sophia hesitated.
Although she loved acting too, the entertainment industry... forget it.
Having been a CEO of an entertainment company for so long, she'd seen all the ups and downs of the industry, and she was actually somewhat reluctant.
"Who says acting means you have to enter the entertainment industry? Just consider it doing me a favor, okay? I really can't find anyone else." Joshua clasped his hands together with a sincere and hopeful expression.
Sophia softened a bit but still said, "I need to think about this. Let me read the script first."
Not refusing outright meant there was hope.
Joshua quickly said, "Okay, read it carefully. Of course, make sure to rest too - no rush."
No matter what production it was, nothing was more important than Sophia's health!
"You can act?" Benjamin looked at Sophia with suspicion, his eyes showing some surprise.
Sophia nodded lightly and explained, "Joshua didn't like studying medicine and loved filming. He was always studying various scripts and liked to pull me in to join him. Over time, I picked up some things."
If Joshua were here, he would definitely defend her.
What did she mean by "picked up some things"?
If her current acting skills counted as "picking up some things," then half the entertainment industry's years of practice would be worthless.
Benjamin chuckled and nodded, reaching out to ruffle Sophia's hair, "Our Sophia is really amazing."
Sophia felt a bit embarrassed by the praise, unable to stop the corners of her mouth from turning up.
After resting for a few days, Sophia's health gradually improved.
Under Benjamin's care and feeding, all the weight Sophia had lost came back.
That day, Joshua was waiting at the hotel entrance early in the morning, looking somewhat anxious.
When Sophia came out, Joshua immediately stepped forward, grabbed her hand and headed outside, "Sophia, today you need to reshoot some scenes Isolde filmed before, and in a few days you'll need to redo the costume photos. But don't worry, I'll be there - I absolutely won't let anyone from the crew bully you."
Looking at her second senior's serious expression, Sophia laughed softly, "Joshua, I'm not worried."
Joshua opened the car door and held his hand over Sophia's head, carefully protecting it.
"That's good. You know all the crew members. If they say anything unpleasant, don't take it to heart - come straight to me if anything happens."
Sophia nodded gently, "Okay."
Looking at Sophia sitting obediently in the car, Joshua felt warmth in his heart and reached out to pat her head.
"Good girl."
At the filming location, many people were gathered together, discussing in low voices.
From time to time they glanced down the mountain, their eyes full of curiosity.
"Who do you think Joshua found?"
"No idea, but Joshua has very high standards for casting. Otherwise this production wouldn't have been delayed until now to start filming."
