Chapter 170 The Disciple of the Divine Doctor Robert
The next second, the plane door opened, revealing a familiar figure.
Sophia waved down at them. Joshua was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes as he rushed forward through the rain.
"Sophia."
As soon as Sophia came down, she was pulled into a tight embrace.
Joshua was covered in dirt, his clothes worn and tattered, with mud caked on them so thick you could barely tell what they originally looked like. There were several holes torn in them too.
Joshua's usually handsome face was now covered in stubble, making him look weathered and worn.
Joshua's stubble scratched against Sophia's fair, delicate cheeks, quickly leaving red marks.
But Sophia didn't push him away. She let him hold her, then slowly raised her arms to hug him back, gently patting his back in silent comfort.
Soon, Sophia felt wetness against her neck.
She blinked in surprise.
In her memory, Joshua had always been carefree and playful, with his obsession about cleanliness and everything being just so. No matter what, his hair and clothes had to be perfectly neat.
In all her years, this was the first time Sophia had seen Joshua in such a mess.
And when he was little, even when their master chased him around to beat him, he never shed a single tear. But now he was actually crying...
Her Joshua must have been through so much.
Sophia pressed her lips together and patted his back again. When she looked up, she met several pairs of curious, gossiping eyes.
Several heads poked out from the tent, all with wide eyes, their faces showing curiosity, scrutiny, and surprise.
Joshua realized he'd lost his composure. He immediately let go of Sophia and wiped the tears from his eyes, acting as if nothing had happened.
"Sophia, what are you doing here? Where's Matthew? How could he let you come here alone?"
Sophia looked at Joshua's face and answered honestly, "I didn't tell Matthew. If I had told him, he definitely wouldn't have let me come."
"That's crazy! It's dangerous here, you need to go back right now!" Joshua's face darkened as he paced anxiously.
Sophia patted his arm and raised her pale finger to point at the sky. "I brought relief supplies. I'm the boss of StarVibe Entertainment after all. If something happened to you guys, I'd be responsible. Joshua, just let me stay and help."
"No way! It's too dangerous here. Go back right now, immediately!"
Joshua was firm. He waved at Sean, who was standing nearby, and ordered, "Take her back right away. Don't let her stay here."
"Joshua, just let me stay. The rain will stop soon, but the rescue team hasn't arrived yet. You guys should need help, and besides, I know medicine."
Hearing this, Joshua suddenly thought of the two girls lying in the tent, and he hesitated.
Seeing his attitude soften, Sophia immediately waved at Sean. "Sean, go get the medical kit, and bring some food too."
Sean immediately went back to the helicopter and brought out the supplies.
The people who had been hiding in the tent saw the helicopters and their faces lit up with joy.
Joshua turned around and met several pairs of excited, gossiping eyes.
He cleared his throat and led Sophia into the tent, introducing her to everyone. "This is my junior sister, Sophia Brown."
The group looked at Sophia with amazement.
After so many miserable days, they finally saw someone coming to rescue them.
They had expected a rescue team, but they didn't expect it to be just one woman.
Sophia looked petite and young, almost like a teenager, completely out of place in this terrible environment. She looked like a pampered rich girl who'd never known hardship.
Especially in her casual outfit, she looked even younger.
The people who had been hopeful moments ago showed disappointment, the light in their eyes instantly dimming.
It seemed they'd gotten their hopes up too soon.
Even if this girl brought relief supplies, how long could they last?
Many in their group were injured, and some already had high fevers from colds.
Without treatment, they would die soon.
Especially Isolde—in her condition, she probably couldn't hold on much longer. Who knew when medical staff would arrive.
"Hello everyone." Sophia nodded politely at them.
The people in the tent looked grim, and not one person responded to her.
Sophia didn't take it to heart. Instead, she immediately turned her attention to the two women lying together.
She quickly walked over to examine Saskia and Isolde, her expression growing more serious.
"Sean, give me the medical kit."
Sean immediately came forward and placed the medical kit on the ground.
The kit opened to reveal various porcelain bottles and containers inside.
Sophia quickly found a bottle, took out a pill, and prepared to give it to Saskia.
But before Sophia's fingers could touch her lips, someone suddenly stopped her.
"What are you doing? We're only letting you in here because you're Joshua's junior sister, but Saskia has a fever and you shouldn't mess with her. If you get infected, don't blame us."
"Exactly! Don't make things worse! We're happy and grateful that you brought supplies, but you can't just give Saskia random things to eat!"
Several men showed disapproval on their faces.
Joshua's face immediately darkened as he scolded in a low voice, "Sophia is trying to save her. You're the ones making things worse!"
Sophia withdrew her hand, her attitude neither humble nor arrogant, but her expression extremely cold. "I understand how you're feeling right now. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Sophia, and I'm a student of the miracle doctor Robert. I'm pretty good at medicine. If you don't get treatment soon, many of you will probably get brain damage from the fever, or even go into shock. In serious cases, it could be fatal. Are you sure you still want to stop me?"
Sophia had never deliberately hidden her identity—she just didn't want to bring it up all the time.
But this was an emergency.
Whether it was Saskia, Isolde, or others in the team, if they didn't get treatment, it could develop into the flu, and that would be real trouble.
"Miracle doctor?" Many people showed confused and bewildered expressions.
How was that possible?
That legendary medical expert, the genius of traditional Chinese medicine, the miracle doctor Robert?
He was always mysterious, and ordinary people might not even get to meet him.
How could Sophia be his student?
And even if she really was Robert's student, was she even an adult yet?
Could she really cure Isolde and the others?
