Chapter 129 Dirty
Though subtle, Magnolia still caught it.
A thought flashed through her mind. Her body suddenly swayed, and she lunged toward Benjamin.
"Benjamin..."
Benjamin frowned and quickly stepped back two paces, trying to avoid Magnolia's hands.
However, Magnolia suddenly grabbed his suit jacket with quick reflexes.
Her soft body crashed heavily into his arms.
At that moment, Sophia happened to walk in from outside.
As soon as she entered, she saw exactly this scene.
A flash of panic crossed Benjamin's eyes as he pushed Magnolia away, causing her to fall to the ground.
"Sophia, it's not what you think."
Sophia's cold gaze swept across Benjamin's suit, her expression unreadable.
Magnolia stumbled from the push and fell heavily to the ground.
A dull thud echoed as she hit the floor, making her wince in pain.
Tears welled up in her eyes as Magnolia looked up pitifully at Benjamin.
"Benjamin..."
"Shut up! Do I even know you that well?" Benjamin snapped harshly.
The wronged expression froze on her face. For a moment, Magnolia didn't know how to react.
She stared at him in disbelief.
How... how could he be so heartless?
Magnolia had always prided herself on her charming looks and alluring figure, believing that her every smile could captivate countless men.
She thought Benjamin was like those other men—that with just a crook of her finger, he would fall for her.
However, whether three years ago or today, three years later, Benjamin remained unmoved, even extremely cold.
If she hadn't seen his gentle side before, Magnolia would definitely think this man was made of ice.
But his gentleness was reserved only for Sophia.
But why?
Magnolia felt she was no less than Sophia.
Whether in looks or background.
Why could Alaric shower Sophia with affection while treating her coldly?
Meeting Sophia's cool gaze, humiliation and resentment suddenly surged in her heart.
She forced herself through the pain to stand up from the ground, squeezing out a faint smile.
"Sophia, please don't be angry. I didn't mean to! I just lost my balance and accidentally fell. Benjamin was only trying to help me up. I hope you won't misunderstand."
Sophia raised an eyebrow.
From what she knew of Benjamin, he wasn't kind enough to help Magnolia up.
She pretended to understand, nodding lightly. "I see. Are you hurt, Ms. Belle?"
Magnolia paused, answering uncertainly, "No, why?"
Sophia's eyes narrowed slightly as she took out medical supplies from her bag.
"Ms. Belle can fall on flat ground without being hurt—maybe there's something seriously wrong with you. How about I draw some blood to check your health?" Sophia's lips curved up, her eyes smiling, looking like she had Magnolia's best interests at heart.
Only Benjamin saw the mischief flashing in her eyes.
He shook his head helplessly, his gaze full of tenderness and affection.
Sophia was probably up to something again.
He absolutely loved this clever and lively side of Sophia.
Magnolia never expected Sophia would actually pull out medical supplies.
She had assumed Sophia would swallow this bitter pill, but she wasn't at all like what she'd imagined.
The needle gleamed coldly under the lights.
It looked especially creepy.
Magnolia shivered hard, barely able to maintain the smile on her face.
"No, no need. I'm not sick."
"The way you look, you don't seem well at all. Ms. Belle, you're a guest of the White family. If something's wrong with your health, it means we haven't taken good care of you. Let me check you over." Sophia's eyes curved sweetly, a charming smile on her face.
She looked soft, lovely, and completely harmless.
Yet Magnolia only felt a chill throughout her body.
Her heart trembled violently as she immediately said, "I just remembered I have something to do. I'll be going now."
With that, she left without looking back.
Watching her flee in panic, Sophia couldn't help but laugh.
But her eyes held a cold glint.
Daring to covet her man—that's asking for death.
Sophia lowered her eyes, putting the syringe back in her bag, then looked at Benjamin with composure.
"Mr. White, don't you have an explanation? I was only gone a few hours and your admirer came looking for you."
"She's not an admirer," Benjamin explained with a frown.
"She threw herself at you. How enthusiastic," Sophia huffed lightly, pouting in dissatisfaction.
Benjamin's eyes flickered as he immediately walked up to Sophia.
He reached out, wanting to pull Sophia into his arms.
However, Sophia suddenly stepped back, dodging his hand.
Benjamin's outstretched hand froze in mid-air, surprise flashing in his eyes.
"Sophia?"
Sophia ignored him and turned to go into the bathroom.
Benjamin stood there, his eyes full of confusion.
About half a minute later, Sophia emerged from the bathroom, now wearing gloves.
Confusion flashed in Benjamin's eyes.
Sophia stopped in front of Benjamin.
Under Benjamin's puzzled gaze, she slowly reached out and removed his jacket.
Her face was full of disgust.
"It's dirty."
Sophia's cold gaze swept coldly over Benjamin's body, and suddenly a wave of grievance flashed through her heart.
She realized her possessiveness over Benjamin was getting stronger and stronger.
The moment she saw Magnolia lunge at Benjamin, Sophia had wanted to kill someone.
She lowered her eyes, hiding the coldness in them, and threw the suit jacket hard on the ground.
Benjamin paused, then laughed helplessly.
"Sophia, are you jealous?"
"Yes, is that not allowed?" Sophia's little face was puffed up like a little pufferfish.
Benjamin found her adorable and endearing at this moment.
He explained in a low voice, "I didn't help her up. She threw herself at me."
"I know." Sophia stood on tiptoe and began unbuttoning Benjamin's shirt.
However, wearing rubber gloves, she struggled for a long time without success, working up a sweat from frustration.
Benjamin reached out with his long arm, wrapping it around Sophia's slender waist and pulling her tightly into his embrace.
With Benjamin's support, Sophia's body stopped swaying.
But her movements unbuttoning the shirt remained clumsy.
Benjamin laughed helplessly.
With one hand around Sophia's slender waist and the other unbuttoning his shirt one by one, he said, "Let me do it."
Finally, Benjamin was left wearing only his underwear.
Sophia's body pressed tightly against Benjamin's chest, her cheeks gradually heating up.
Her eyes flickered, not knowing where to look.
"I, I didn't tell you to take off your pants."
Sophia lowered her eyes slightly and suddenly noticed...
She seemed startled and quickly looked away.
Her cheeks grew even hotter.
Benjamin looked down, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on Sophia's pink and delicate face.
Sophia's refined, fair face looked like it had been brushed with blush.
Her little face was tinged with a rosy glow, like a freshly ripened cherry with an enticing sheen, silently tempting someone to pick it.
