Chapter 132 Doctor's Orders
Chapter 132 Doctor's Orders
Audrey sat on the edge of the bed, one hand resting on her very large belly. Her breathing was slightly heavy, and every now and then she let out a long sigh to ease the discomfort in her body.
She was already more than a week past her due date. The doctor said everything was still within normal limits, but still—the worry was hard to ignore.
Their apartment now felt more complete with the nursery fully prepared. Elliot had personally made sure every detail was perfect. The crib, the small dresser filled with tiny clothes, the walls painted in soft, gentle colors.
Elliot sat on the sofa, watching his wife with careful attention. He could see how tired she was in these final days of her pregnancy.
"You okay?" he asked softly, moving closer.
Audrey smiled faintly, though the exhaustion on her face was impossible to hide. "I'm fine. Just... feels heavy," she said, rubbing her belly lovingly.
His hand joined hers, stroking gently. "You know what the doctor said. There's nothing to worry about. Maybe our baby's just too comfortable in there," he said, trying to reassure her.
She nodded slowly. "I know. But waiting this long doesn't feel great either..."
Elliot smiled faintly, then remembered something. During their last checkup, the doctor had mentioned that one natural way to induce labor was through intimacy. He'd been careful these past weeks—barely touching her, afraid of causing any harm.
The memory made his eyes narrow slightly, watching his wife with thoughtful consideration.
Audrey caught the shift in his expression. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked, eyebrow raised.
He smiled, stroking her cheek before kissing it briefly. "I was just thinking... maybe we could try something to convince our baby to come out."
She frowned. "What do you mean?"
He cleared his throat, trying to find the right words without sounding like a man with only one thing on his mind—even if, truthfully, his mind had been drifting in that direction lately.
"The doctor mentioned... natural ways to induce labor."
She still looked confused. "Yes?"
He took a breath, then leaned closer, his lips near her ear. "One of them is... sex," he whispered, voice low and deep.
She went still for a moment, then stared at him with wide eyes. "Are you serious?"
He shrugged, putting on an innocent expression that didn't look innocent at all. "I'm just repeating what the doctor said."
She pursed her lips, feeling heat creep up her cheeks. "This isn't just an excuse, is it?"
He chuckled, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Baby... I'm just trying to help."
"Besides," he continued, voice dropping to a teasing whisper, "I've been holding back for a while now..."
She bit her lip, face growing warmer. She knew it was a legitimate method to help induce labor, but hearing him say it in that tone made her flustered.
"But... I'm very pregnant," she said hesitantly.
He smiled reassuringly. "I know. I won't hurt you. We'll be very careful, baby..."
She looked at him, meeting those dark eyes full of warmth and tenderness. She knew he wouldn't push if she truly refused. But seeing how patient he'd been, and remembering the doctor's advice, she finally exhaled and nodded.
He grinned, kissing her softly. "Thank you, baby. I promise I'll be careful."
She laughed quietly as he gently guided her down, making sure she was comfortable in every position.
She felt warmth surround her as he leaned down, kissing her forehead. His hands—large and warm—traced her arms, soothing her.
"Comfortable?" he whispered, voice deep and attentive.
She nodded, though nervousness still lingered.
He smiled, kissing her lips once more before adjusting their position with extreme care.
His touch was so gentle, like he was handling something impossibly fragile. He made sure every movement put no pressure on her body.
She bit her lip, feeling how carefully he treated her. The sensation was different—more intimate, deeper, more meaningful than before. No urgency, none of his usual intensity. Just gentleness, warmth, and deep affection.
"Elliot..." she breathed, her body responding naturally.
"Yes, baby?" He looked at her, checking that everything was alright.
She smiled faintly, reaching up to pull him closer. "I love you."
His face lit up, eyes softening. He kissed the corner of her lips before whispering, "I love you more. Both of you."
He moved deeper, rhythm steady and growing more intense, bringing them both toward an inevitable peak. His breath quickened, his body tensing as a low groan escaped him.
Audrey, already at her limit, gripped his arm tightly, back arching slightly as pleasure washed over her. "Elliot... I'm—"
He watched her with dark eyes, knowing she was close. He increased his pace slightly, whispering soft words against her ear, voice rough with want. "Baby, you're so good..."
Her body trembled violently, the sensation overwhelming, her eyes watering from the intensity. She held his broad back tight, legs wrapped around him like she never wanted to let go.
Seeing her reach her peak first, Elliot finally lost control. One deep, final thrust—his body tensed, a heavy groan escaping his lips, breath ragged as he followed her over the edge.
The moments after were filled with silence, broken only by their heavy breathing. Elliot stayed above her, supporting his weight so he wouldn't crush her, waiting for his racing heart to slow.
She stroked his back gently, still floating in the lingering sensation. "I can't believe you actually used that excuse," she murmured, breathless, her face already forming a pout.
He laughed softly, kissing her neck before whispering, "Anything for you and our baby."

While waiting, Elliot made sure his wife was comfortable. As evening fell and the sky grew dark, Audrey suddenly gasped, gripping her belly.
Elliot, who had been idly playing with her fingers, went rigid.
"Baby, what's wrong?" he asked, sitting up immediately, eyes fixed on her face.
She tried to steady her breathing, expression turning serious. "I think... my stomach is tightening."
His eyes went wide. "Contractions?"
When she nodded, he froze for a moment before snapping back. "Wait, what?! Now?!"
She laughed softly, a mix of surprise and joy flooding her. "So... the doctor's method worked?"
He stared at her in disbelief. "Oh my God, baby. I knew I was good, but I didn't think it'd happen that fast!"
She laughed again, even as her face tensed with growing pain.
He scrambled off the bed, searching frantically for his phone. "Okay, okay! We need to go to the hospital now!"
She shook her head quickly. "Wait. It's still early. The doctor said I need to time the contractions first."
He looked uncertain, but grabbed his phone anyway. "Fine. Let's track them."
Minutes passed. Another contraction came. Not too painful, but enough to make her wince. Elliot started pacing, clearly more panicked than his wife.
"Can we go now?" he asked, voice urgent.
She smiled through the discomfort. "Elliot, I'm fine. The contractions aren't regular yet. Let's wait a little longer?"
He exhaled heavily, then sat beside her, gripping her hand tight. "But if they get closer, we're leaving immediately. Deal?"
She nodded, still smiling as she stroked his increasingly worried face. "Deal, Doctor Elliot."
He clicked his tongue, annoyed that she was joking at a time like this. She laughed harder at his expression. "Oh my God, relax. You're stressing me out."
He rubbed his face, trying to control himself. "I just want everything to go well..."
"Everything will be fine." She stroked his cheek again, surprised to find herself calming him down for once.
He kissed her palm, his excitement to meet their baby growing.
The contractions came more frequently. Closer together. She started to moan more often, gripping his arm whenever pain surged through her.
Elliot, trying to stay calm, couldn't hide his panic. He kept checking his phone, timing contractions with shaking hands.
"Okay, five minutes apart! We have to go!" He jumped off the bed.
She nodded, face a little pale but still trying to stay relaxed. "Help me up."
He grabbed the hospital bag they'd packed weeks ago. Without thinking, he walked straight toward the apartment door.
Audrey, still sitting on the bed, stared at him. "Elliot!" she called.
He stopped at the doorway, turning in confusion. "What?"
"You're leaving me!" She glared at him.
His eyes went wide. He realized he'd taken the bag—without her.
"Oh my God!" He rushed back to her side. "Sorry, baby!"
She looked at him with a mix of frustration and amusement. "I know you're panicking. But if I give birth here, what are you going to do?"
He shook his head quickly. "No, no! Come on, I'll help you!"
Carefully, he helped her stand, supporting her protectively. But as he started guiding her toward the door, he tripped over the rug and nearly fell.
She exhaled deeply, fighting laughter through the pain. "Elliot Harrington. Breathe. Calm down. I'm the one giving birth here."
He stopped, took a deep breath, and looked at her steadily. "Okay. I'm calm."
She nodded. "Now let's go to the hospital. And this time—take me with you!"
