Chapter 88 Catching Adultery

Chapter 88 Catching Adultery

Hazel noticed Lily, and a smug smile spread across her face.

"Ms. Martin, are you here for the hot springs too?" she asked with a laugh, her tone carrying a hint of provocation.

Lily took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Where's Samuel?"

"Samuel?" Hazel picked up a sexy bikini and held it up against herself. "He went back to the room first. Said he'd wait for me to change into my swimsuit before we..."

She deliberately paused, a flash of triumph in her eyes.

"After all, tonight... we have a lot of things to do."

Lily's heart tightened. "What do you mean?"

Hazel's smile deepened. "Doesn't Ms. Martin know? Samuel booked a room here. We're staying the night. Such a nice Tranquil Springs Retreat—it would be such a waste to just soak in the hot springs and leave."

She picked up another, even sexier swimsuit.

"What do you think of this one? Is it too revealing? But Samuel should like it..."

Lily's face grew darker and darker.

Booked a room?

Staying here?

They're... going to sleep together?

Just as she thought—this isn't a proper relationship!

"Ms. Martin, why do you look so pale? Are you feeling unwell? Should I call a doctor?" Hazel asked with fake concern.

"No need," Lily said through gritted teeth.

"That's good then. Actually, Ms. Martin, you don't need to worry too much. Samuel and I grew up together. This kind of thing... It's not our first time."

Her words were vague but full of implications.

Lily's fists clenched tight.

She wanted to rush over and tear Hazel's mouth apart.

But she held back.

She knew that when a man cheats, the root cause lies with the man himself.

The other woman might be hateful, but the unfaithful man is even more hateful.

She wasn't the type to attack the other woman without thinking it through.

The one she wanted to hit was the cheating man!

"I have things to do. I'm leaving." Lily turned and walked away.

Hazel watched her retreating figure with a triumphant smile.

Mission accomplished.

Lily must have misunderstood.

Now, let's see if her relationship with Samuel will completely fall apart.

After leaving the swimsuit area, Lily went straight to the front desk of Tranquil Springs Retreat.

"Hello, which room is Samuel staying in?"

The receptionist looked at the computer. "And you are?"

"I'm his wife," Lily said, showing the receptionist a wedding photo of her and Samuel on her phone.

The receptionist verified and nodded. "Room 308."

"Thank you."

Lily turned and walked away, fury flashing in her eyes.

Room 308.

Perfect.

She was going to give that cheating man a piece of her mind!

Just then, her phone rang.

It was Olivia calling.

"Lily! I'm at the entrance of Tranquil Springs Retreat! Where are you?"

"I'm at the hot springs area. Come straight here, we're going to room 308 to confront that cheating man!"

"Okay! Wait for me!"

Ten minutes later, Olivia ran up to Lily, out of breath.

"I'm here!"

"Thank you, Olivia."

"We're best friends! Your business is my business! Come on, let's go confront that cheating man!"

"Let's go!"

The two women marched toward room 308 with determination.

David sat alone in his study, handling work documents.

He hadn't gone to the hot springs.

Hazel had suggested soaking in the hot springs together, and he'd agreed, but only to brush her off.

He had no interest in doing anything with Hazel.

His mind was full of Lily.

Thinking of how she looked eating earlier.

Thinking of her resolute expression when she said, "I don't need your concern."

Just then, his phone rang.

It was Andrew calling.

Andrew's voice sounded strange. "David. I need to tell you something."

"Go ahead."

"According to your plan, I pretended to be you and fooled Olivia. She should have confirmed that I'm you. But..."

"But what?"

"After she left the Jones Group, she looked at a text message, got angry, and drove off in a huff. I checked the surveillance—she's heading toward Tranquil Springs Retreat."

David's heart tightened.

Olivia came to Tranquil Springs Retreat?

"I suspect she's looking for Lily. And from the look of her, she seems ready to cause trouble. David, be careful."

David stood up and walked to the window, looking at the greenery below.

What are these two planning now?

Just then, a loud commotion suddenly came from the next room.

"Samuel! Come out here!"

"You cheating man!"

It was Lily's voice!

And Olivia's voice!

David's heart jumped, and he immediately pushed the door open and walked out.

In the hallway, he saw a scene that made him both amused and exasperated—

Olivia was firmly blocking Hazel, preventing her from returning to her room.

And inside what was supposed to be Hazel's room, Lily was angrily searching everywhere.

"Samuel! Come out!"

"I know you're here!"

"You cheating man! Liar!"

She cursed while crying.

She searched the entire room but couldn't find Samuel.

She stood in the middle of the room, tears streaming down uncontrollably.

"Where are you..." she sobbed.

Just then, a deep voice came from the doorway.

"I'm here."

Lily whipped her head around and saw David standing at the door.

He was still wearing his mask and bathrobe, his eyes beneath the mask looking at her with complex emotions.

Although David had said he would soak in the hot springs with Hazel, he had actually arranged two separate rooms.

Hazel was in 308, and he was in 309.

He just wanted to use this method to provoke Lily, to make her see her own heart clearly.

He never intended to actually do anything with Hazel.

Hazel, blocked outside the door, was also coldly watching Lily's actions. She wanted to share a room with David, but David wouldn't go near her at all!

But she wouldn't give up. Sooner or later, she would actually soak in the hot springs with David!

Inside the room, Lily saw David and raised her hand to slap him.

David didn't dodge.

A loud slap landed on his face.

The mask was knocked askew.

In the hallway, Olivia and Hazel both froze.

"Lily..." David said softly.

Lily cried out, "How dare you say my name! You, a cheating man! Liar!"

"I..."

"You've been lying to me from the start, haven't you? You deliberately pretended to be nice to me, deliberately flirted with me, and made me fall for you... And then what? Then you come to the hot springs with another woman and plan to spend the night together!"

"Do you know how upset I am? Do you know how much my heart hurts seeing you with her?"

She couldn't continue, just cried.

David let her pound on him, feeling both heartache and relief.

She was finally willing to express her feelings.

She finally admitted she cared about him.

He gently held her hands. "Lily, listen to me. Nothing happened between Hazel and me."

"You're lying! Do you dare say you two didn't soak in the hot springs together?"
