Chapter 14
*Grounded*!
~
"Dad I'm sorry...I was at Tiffany's..." I started talking
"It doesn't change the fact that you are grounded!" He yelled I saw the anger and disappointment in his eyes, and he turned away as Mom patted him on the shoulder. She turned to me and said sternly
"To your room!" The thickness in her tone alerted my whole body, I turned to the stairs slowly without a word, and I ran up until I was in my room. I stomped into the bathroom when I remembered that my phone was in the bag I was carrying. I activated the silence, I ignored the countless missed calls and texts, and it wasn't the time to scroll through. I heard the entrance door creak then I placed my bag into the cupboard over my head. I walked out of the bathroom only to find Mom sitting on the edge of my bed wearing a terrible face on her; I stood still interlocking fingers shyly. "Maybe I need to make it clear to you that Tiffany's house is a disease to you, it is infecting you, Claudia..." She began scolding
"Mom I'm sorry okay, I was only there the whole time and nothing more," I tried to explain to her regardless, if she ever found the truth then I would be more than grounded. "I'm not asking you, Claudia, I'm commanding you to stop seeing them. Those people you think are the best bet are the worse you could ever go with. They are not people you should be caught with, everything about them is wrong and you know that..." She scolded again "They hate humans like us, Mom you should get to know them at least..." I began defensively
“Just shut it up alright, what has come over you? What is it with the Watkins that you can't let go? Huh?" She questioned and this time I maintained my silence, she stood up to her feet and walked up to me, and stopped when she was close enough.
"You made us worry about you, your father is mad and I am not taking it easy as well, I will not repeat myself, Claudia. You are grounded for a week!"
She walked to the door and held the handle turning to me.
"It should never happen again!" She slammed the behind her then I dropped into bed with a sigh of relief, at least I was only grounded and nothing else. I curled up under the sheets to sleep instead, I was exhausted.
***Davis's POV:***
As soon as I entered my room, Tiffany was sitting on the edge of my bed staring in my direction with a fussy stare, she does that every time. "What are you doing in my bed?" I asked
"Maybe you wanna tell me what the hell is wrong with you Dave?! She's just an ordinary girl..." She stirred up stirring up, I walked closer and stopped right in front of her with a smirk on my face.
"You know that you could talk about anything with me except for that bitch, can you stop calling her name around here?!" I clarified then I turned away nonchalantly. "I mean it soaks my pants very badly." I blurted without regrets.
"You could see the best in her," Tiffany's face fell "Just leave already," I warned and I didn't bother. When Tiffany had left my room I felt better, I took up the alcohol flask and gulped it. My mind flew back to that bitch of a girl, the fact that she tried so hard to impress me was lame, I mean she's not even my type or taste, she's far from modernity and the word lovely. Not to brag but I knew for sure that she liked me very much but I could never return her likeness.
*
The next morning, I was waiting in the driveway for Tiffany, Mom and Dad asked business to do so they caught the 6 am flight to France for a month. Raphael how had the responsibility to overlook their business before they return. I leaned on the red sports car running my chin then I called out.
"IFFY!" I wondered what on earth was taking her long. I raised my head only to see the one person I hated the most, a bloody virgin. She was dressed in a white and black dotted dress and it was tied into a bun while some strands fell across her face. She looked pale and absentminded even if she was walking out of her apartment with her elder sister. Seeing her weakened my entire system, I was boiling in hatred and disgust toward her. Suddenly our eyes locked, I wouldn't be the one to take my eyes off them, I wanted to remind her of her awful existence around me. She stood looking at me for s few seconds then I raised my middle finger at her. "Dave?!" I heard Tiffany call my name from behind them I turned away slowly with a frown settling in, and I entered the car likewise Tiffany. I pulled out of the driveway partly staring at them entering their car too, Tiffany's lips parted in an attempt to say something then I turned the volume of the music even louder. Tiffany turned it down instantly giving me an unforgivable stare.
"You are a piece of work Davis, really did you have to?" She asked in a challenging tone "Have to what?" I feigned not understanding a single word from her, she was going to talk about that shitty girl again.
"The middle finger? What was that? She wouldn't even understand that crap that's to tell you how harmless she fuckin is." Tiffany said
"She understands it better than you know, I can bet you. I wonder how y'all roll with a fake ass like her, can't you see that everything she does is fuckin FAKE?" I stressed out "No, you tell me. You should stop harassing and disgracing that chic, stick to your fuckin Sherry." She warned then I smirked
"Why are you bothered? You know me, I've been like this ever since...since Texas..."
"But this ain't Texas homie, this is New York. Let her breathe,"
"If only she stops dead!" I cursed. Tiffany pursed her lips instead after a light punch on my arm, she remained silent until we arrived at school. We pulled over at the parking space.
"I got Geography class, see you in hell!" She cursed "Yeah, good luck with the maps!" I snapped. Tiffany stormed out hastily before I did, she hung her bag behind walking away in a white mini-plaited shirt, a long sleeve polyester top, ankle-length white socks, and a pair of white sports shoes, swaying from side to side. When it was about studying, I didn't give a shit about it even if I ended up doing well but Tiffany aced better regardless of her trendy lifestyle as well as hanging out with of the coolest kids in school, he was my friend too. I strode down the hallway with a smirk on her face, boys hating and wishing I died and girls crushing and craving for a kiss. I dug my fingers into my hair swiftly as I turned to take the left turn that led to Chemistry class. I saw her and this time she was attempting to run from me. I nodded lightly calculating the things I'd do to her after Chem class. She briskly walked into the class then I walked in too. I walked over to friends Rob and Bob but Mason was nowhere close, I wasn't much of a friend with Johnson but he seemed very cool and I liked to hang out with him what I could not understand was why Tiffany picked him as a partner last night, and they kissed not hit; she liked him and I was certain that he liked her back.
"Hey, dude! You pulled a stunt last night, you're gonna break a heart soon!" Rob stirred up immediately after we shook in swagger. I scoffed then smirked
"I've been breaking hearts ever since and Gramsville is not excluded." I snapped with an ego as they laughed.
"Seriously, what's up with you and that girl?" Bob motioned with his head in the direction of that bitch at the other corner of the class sitting alone, I guess she was waiting for Mason's girl. I still can't fathom why all these cuties hung with a girl like her, it plunges me.
"Oh her?" I snapped as they turned to me for my response. "Let's say I hate pretenders and I don't do so well around people I hate, you know what I mean," I added confidently.
"That's weird! Just let the girl go, Sherry's good for you," Rob said
"It's not like I like her, didn't you hear what I said 'the girl I hate', ain't no way I could like her. That piece of shit!" I blurted out getting pissed.
"Enough already dude!" Bob countered then he pulled out his phone to show me a party that would hold later at 7 pm, I didn't have ground rules or curfews so I'd be there.
“Count my ass in, 7 it is!" I said they were excited like my opinion mattered. My mind was taken off that girl that I didn't realize that Mason's girl had arrived as well as Mason walking in our direction. Minutes later, the Chem teacher walked in as soon as the clock hit 8 o'clock.
