Chapter 194: Will You Only Forgive Me If I Die
Dennis had a stern face as he walked straight up to Lily.
Lily was startled when she saw Dennis suddenly kicked the door open and barge in.
She noticed Dennis's grim expression and tugged at his hand, "I'm fine."
He'd better not start a fight.
If he started a fight here, they'd have evidence against him.
David was absolutely capable of pulling this kind of stunt.
But she couldn't let Dennis fall into this trap.
Dennis saw that Lily's expression was calm, and she didn't seem angry, so his face relaxed quite a bit.

David looked at Michael's expression. "You know him?"
Eric spoke first, "Of course, he knows me. Mr. Michael Roberts and I have met several times, but none of them were very pleasant."

Michael looked over and quickly explained, "I didn't know Mr. Murphy's identity before. I apologize for any offense. After all, back then I was just trying to protect my sister."
"With what you call protection from the Roberts family, Lily probably wouldn't live to see tomorrow," Eric said sarcastically.
David felt uncomfortable. "Mr. Murphy, that's going a bit too far."

David saw that Michael wasn't doing well and quickly supported him. "I told you not to come, but you insisted."
"How could I not come? Mr. Murphy, as long as you'll let Lily go, name any condition you want."

Michael nodded. "Okay."
David's tone was harsh. "I didn't agree to that. After all, it's Lily's own choice to degrade herself; it has nothing to do with the Roberts family."
Michael stepped forward and looked at Eric. "I'm willing to give up all my personal assets."
"How much are your personal assets worth? Not enough!" Eric's tone was mocking. "Looks like the Roberts family's sincerity only goes thus far."
He turned to look at Lily. "I was just saying that on purpose. Didn't that test out their so-called sincerity?"
Lily smiled. "No need to test, I already know."
David cursed at Lily, "Lily, you're proud of yourself, aren't you? Since you're so ungrateful, forget it. In front of Mr. Murphy, let me make this clear: you're cutting ties with the Roberts family. From now on, whatever trouble you cause has nothing to do with my Roberts family."
Better to make it clear early, to avoid dragging the family down.
Lily's expression was calm. "Haven't we had nothing to do with each other for a while now?"

But Lily remained unmoved, as if she didn't see anything.
