Run Monster Run
Edgar cawed as he kicked out at me, but I caught his legs with my other hand. I saw red as I started for the kitchen to do just what I said I would. Draven was trying to make sure Raven was alright, but she was following me into the kitchen screaming at me to stop. That he didn't do it on purpose. It didn't matter if he had or not, I had warned him. I tightened my hand on his throught holding still. He stopped moving as I grabbed a pot. Once on the stove I started to throw him in, but Raven stopped me.
"What the hell is wrong with you? God you are such a bitch. He is a bird!" Raven screamed at me, but I didn't let her hate hit me.
"For once you in your fucking life shut your mouth. I am sick of hearing you say hateful shit. If you can't shut up I will sew your mouth shut." I yelled at her as I turned to look at her. I knew my eyes where blood red.
"Step away Raven, very slowly." Draven told her trying to get her out of my site.
"No! She can't..." Raven started but my hand reached at smacking her across the lips.
"I told you to shut up. I also told you to stop with the hate that spews from your mouth on a daile bases. If you can't say something nice then shut the fuck up. This bird harmed my daughter and I won't stand for it. Do you hear me?" I didn't even think that what I had just done harmed my daughter.
"Mother fucker! You hit me? What kind of mother are you? Stupid maybe...Lazy for sure." Raven didn't see it coming that is for sure. I didn't know what I was doing until I was on her.
Edgar had fallen into the pot on the stove, but didn't try to get out. I would guess he understood that I would indeed cut him and make him watch. I grabbed Raven by the throat slamming her into the far wall. Lucien and Draven where trying to pull me off of her but they didn't have the strength when I was in a rage like this.
"Get Elyisum up here." Draven yelled at Lucien.
"Mom!" Raven gasped as I pushed a little harder.
"You call me mom, but you talk to me like I am scum. Never dreaming that you cut my heart into small pieces. Not understanding that I could hide all that pain behind a door and take the anger out on you. I never wanted to harm my children, but you don't acted or treat me like a mother. So you must not be my child." I was calm when I spoke but I knew she could see the hate and hurt in my eyes.
"Mom, stop!!!" Raven clawed at my hand on her throat.
"Natalia put her down." Draven tried to talk me out of it. "She doesn't know what she did."\\
I turned my head toward him my hate seeing his. He could see the hurt in my eyes and could see that nothing he said would change what I was feeling and how I wanted to stomp out that hate.
"She is old enough to know what she is doing. Even she admited that many times over the years. Maybe I could let it go if I felt a speck of love from her. If she hadn't ripped my heart out so many times that I had to cage it aganist her. Never has she spoken to you like she does me. I did nothing to her...No a thing." I screamed at him when I felt a needle go into my arm.
I spun toward Lucien who was standing by Elyisum who had a needle in her hand. The drug worked quick, but I could move faster. When I dropped Raven to the floor I went after Elyisum but didn't make it. Draven grabbed me holding me to his chest. I clawed at him, my nails digging into his skin making blood ooze out of the wounds. I didn't see it however, all I saw was red. The red of hate, and hurt that had taken over my mind and body.
"She is fighting it." Draven yelled to Elyisum who had another needle in hand, but her hands where shaking. "Do it!"
Elyisum finally took the step to sink the needle into my arm again. I tried to bite her but Draven kept me from doing it. The second shot put me out. I went limp in Draven's arms. I was floating through the clouds and didn't know what I had done, not yet at least. I woke the next night still at the house with the lab under it. When I moved I felt pain all over, which told me how much I had fought. I recalled some of what happened but not all of it. I got up moving slowly as I found my way to the living room. I found the twins, Draven and the bird sitting as if waiting.
"I never seen her act like that." Luicen said to Draven with a bit of fear.
My heart ached at hearing that. The moment I stepped into the living room they all fell silent. I looked from Lucien to Raven then to Draven. I stopped on the bird. He glared at me in his own way, but I didn't care. He was a bird and I didn't care about him. I did however care about my family and what I had done. I would have to find out from them. I sat on the far side of the living room looking at them.
"Tell me." I said looking at Draven. I knew he would tell me what I had done and not hold back any of it.
"I don't think you need to hear it all." Draven finally said but he didn't expect Raven to speak up.
The moment she started talking I could see that she had brusies on her neck, her lip was busted as well. I knew I had done them even without her saying I had. The way she spoke she seemed spooked at the way I moved around her. The fact that she didn't leave anything out had me gasping for breath. Tears where running down my face making it hard to see anything in front of me. Raven didn't care not even a little. Lucien was scared and I knew in that moment I couldn't go back. I could never go back. So I ran, I took off out of the house. I heard Draven yelling for me to come back but I couldn't see them again. The monster that lived in my couldn't come back out again. Nothing else mattered in that moment, but to keep my family safe...from me. I have no idea how far I ran or where I ended up, just that I tripped and landed in the forest. I just lay there until the sun came up.
