Candy Baby
“I have, the only thing I see is that Blaze was in the room. Nothing else is there it was wiped from her mind.” Draven told her but he didn't understand how the memories where gone.
“Does Blaze have that kind of power?” Elysium asked looking worried.
“Well she had a theory on that. She thinks that he is possessed by a demon and we turned him into a vampire. Do you have any idea how powerful a demon vampire can be?” Draven get the fear in his bones.
“No I really don’t” Elsyium hadn't heard of that happening. Of course no way vampires would let that out.
“They have the power to freeze people, to take what they want from them and leave them to die. The bite from a demon vampire doesn’t heal like normal; they have to close the wound. The older the vampire gets the more powerful they become. He would be able to freeze her for at least an hour or more. Also take her blood which is what he did, that will give him a taste of Natalia and he most likely will be back for more. Her anger most likely is that stopped the whole thing. She seems to fight through things with it.” Draven felt pride but fear at the same time.
“Well she is off the drugs now; I gave her the last shot yesterday. The others I have been going a little slower because I wanted to watch them. Blaze has been pretty upset that I haven’t given him more than two shots.” Elysium hadn't liked the way Blaze acted.
“Thank god you haven’t. It would have really messed things up. I do hope you have everything locked up.” Draven looked from Nat to Elysium.
“I only mix the batches when I am going to be giving the shots. So there isn’t any mixed right now. I was going to give them the next shot soon.” She would have to hold off now.
“Don’t give any of them any more of the drugs. I want to see what happens at this point. I can’t see that he didt anything at this point just that he was in here. Maybe I should move her room. She doesn’t look very happy to be on that bed anymore.” Draven could see how upset she was even in sleep.
I tossed and turned for another ten minutes, Draven picked me up and took me to another room and lay me down I curled into a ball and let the drugs take me away. I didn’t want to deal with the issues that haunted me at this point. With Draven’s blood in my system I could wake up and run all over the place, but I didn’t want to face him. I just couldn’t figure out why I didn’t want to deal with him.
The next afternoon I woke and found myself in a different room. This one was much like the other but I had never been here before. So I sat up and went to the bathroom to clean up. I sighed and took a long shower to clean off the dirty feeling. Why I felt like that I really had no idea. I was glad not to be in the other room as well, what the hell was going on. After my shower I went into the kitchen to find my mom making candy.
“You seem to have been busy with the candy. Sorry I wasn’t here to help.” I wanted to be a part of this with her.
“You had other things to deal with my dear. Here try one.” Mom looked at me with worry in her eyes.
She shoved a heart candy into my mouth and I let it melt and tasted the chocolate but then the blood hit and I moaned. The mix was great and I wanted to grab ten more and eat them down. Mom had a good mix going on, but it needed a little more white chocolate.
“Add more white and a drop or two more blood.” I suggested as she stired the mix.
Mom nodded and added another bar of the white chocolate and then grabbed the open mug from the fridge and added six more drops of blood. I smiled at the scent and grabbed a bag. I drained it then looked at my mom. She really did like to work in the kitchen, but I worried that she needed to go deal with her own life.
“When are you two heading home? I’m sure you have to deal with the divorce. Did you hit him with the cheating one?” I wanted that bastard to burn.
“Yes, I had the photos to prove all the flings he had. So he was out of the house the night I came down here. I hired guards to make sure he didn’t try to steal anything. I have kept in touch with the lawyer and so far so good. The judge has granted the divorce and I am a free woman as soon as I sign the papers. Which I have to go home to do.” Mom told him like a weight was off her shoulders.
“So does that mean you’re leaving?” I asked not really wanting her to leave.
“We will be heading out tomorrow night I think.” She looked sad but happy at the same time.
“Well then we should work on this candy.” I moved through the kitchen.
I said and moved to the stove and worked with the molds. I smiled at the candy molds we had bought. They really didn’t scream vampire to me.One was a puppy dog and the other was a heart. I dipped the mix out and poured it into the moldes. After a moment I put them into the fridge. Mom and dad had been eating small meals alone because we didn’t eat. I guess they didn’t want to eat in front of us. We worked on the candy for hours, until Draven walked into the kitchen and I picked up one and pushed it into his mouth.
“What was that?” he took a few moments to taste and eat the candy and I smiled up at him when he swallowed it. “That is amazing, I haven’t tasted candy. Well ever!”
He went for another piece and I laughed. If he kept on we wouldn’t have any left. We could use this receipt to make more. I smiled and knew that he was loving the taste of it.
“So you like it I take it?” I asked watching his face as he tasted the candy.
He was like a child tasting things for the frist time. The pure joy in his eyes, the way his body just hummed with it. Draven pulled her toward him kissing me deeply.
