She's Alive
Home of Natalia’s Mother
Lilia Westanor
“What happened to her? How the hell could they not have found her yet? Most of the others were found within a week of being taken. She has been gone for almost a month.” Tears slide down my face and I didn’t know what to think, I loved my daughter.
The fear that she would turn up dead cut up was breaking my heart. Her step-father had been a comfort at first but now he just seemed to want to push the whole thing behind us. To declare her dead and move on, how the hell could the man think like that! She was my flesh and blood I would look until I found a body. Maybe I should kick the dead beat out; he was only really using me for the money. Natalia had been right…My god she had been right. I had my lawyer on speed dial so I would most likely call and have the papers written up. Thank god for per-nups.
“Dear you need to calm down. The doctor told you that your heart can’t take the stress. You will kill yourself if you keep up like this.” He would love to think that I would die with us still married.
Something about the way he said it hit a nerve and I exhaled as I glared at the man. Standing I left the living room going into my office. Once inside I closed and locked the door. I wouldn’t have a man in my home that seemed to think I was going to break. He could find himself a new sugar momma. As I sat behind my antique oak desk I sighed and rolled into the slot for my chair and picked up the phone only to hear a voice on the other side.
“I have to talk to her…” Natalia told Drave not knowing that the call had connected.
“NATALIA!!!!!!!!!!!” I screamed as the voice came through the phone. I could feel my heart almost beating out of my chest.
I knew I screamed because the door to my office almost came off the hinges when my husband tried to get into the room. I could feel tears streaming down my face and I was so glad that I was sitting down in my chair.
“Can you please stop screaming in my ear mom.” Natalia spoke into the phone.
“Oh…Oh…My sweet child! Where the hell are you? The police have been looking for you for almost a month.” I told her holding the recver tightly to my ear. Still hearing her husband trying to get into the room.
“Well you know most of it. That night we came to the hotel and ended up being taken by two goons. I read in the paper that they confessed to all of it. George has a house near the Blue Ridge…well more like in it. Well his real name is Draven but that is another story. He brought me to the house to get my mind right, we were scared that the guys would come back for us. When I seen they had turned themselves into the police I called you right away.” Natalia told her the story they had come up with.
“What do you mean Draven took you to his house?” I wanted to know that she was alright, did Draven take her?
“Well it was better for me to be here than in the city and get taken again. I feared for my life mom. Why don’t you come down here and see me?” Natalia knew this would be here biggest challenge.
I thought about it for a few moments, I could use the time away and I could see my daughter at the same time. I thought it over and then smiled because I could hear Matthew banging on the door. I yelled at him to stop it, that I was fine. Then I sighed into the phone and finally spoke.
“I will need directions to how to get to you. Also I need to know if I should bring anything.” I wanted to be sure that she was alright and going to her was the best way.
“Well don’t bring the beast!” Nat told her with hate in her tone.
“I see what you meant about him…Calling Trevor after I get off the phone with you. Also making sure to set a guard on the house.” I could hear her laughing into the phone and almost laughed with her.
This husband had only lasted maybe a year. I really needed to find someone better or take her father back. I really did still love him; he just spent too much money. Maybe he had changed over the years.
“If you can and don’t mind bring dad too.” I did laugh this time.
She knew I would want to bring him so it didn’t surprise me that she would ask. They had always been close even went shopping at the same time. I never really tried hard enough to be a great mother. A good mom yes I had that down. The great mother on the other hand, wasn't in my grasp.
“I’ll send you the directions, see you tomorrow I hope.” Nat told her mom then hung up the phone.
I heard the phone beeping in my ear and sighed. I looked at the door then to the phone again and called Trevor and had the papers started and told him to have them sent to Matthew and have him taken from the house. Also to have guards posted in the house right before I left. I didn’t trust the gold digging fool. After that call I then called my first ex-husband and told him that our daughter was alive that she wanted us to come see her. I didn’t even hear him hang up the phone. A few hours later and a big fight later I was packed looking at my soon to be ex. He didn’t seem to know what was going on, but he would when he got the papers. I did hate dealing with stupid people. The man looked like a whipped dog. He knew he would get nothing out of the marriage. I had made sure that when he left he could only take his stuff.
The guards had showed up and that is when I told him I was filing for a divorce. He had fallen to his knees crying like a little baby; I was so shocked I almost laughed at him. It took another two hours to get him to understand that I wasn’t going to keep him around for anything else. He did get to keep his BMW and most of his gifts I gave him. He could sell those and live off the money for almost a year. The truth was I had proof that he had cheated with at least ten other women. He didn't know that yet, but he would soon.
