Chapter 111 - The Blessed Luna
Shelby's POV
It wasn't long before they came back in with a tea set. They served us tea on a short coffee style table. They took their seats on three pillows across the table from us.
"The four princes born at night, will bring forth the new light." Clotho started, going straight to the point. "Each a King in his own right. One of light, one of power, one of knowledge, and one of sight."
Jenna and I looked at each other confused. Having no clue what it was about.
"The four of them will grow, and rule over the supernatural race. Once they are Kings, the Savior will take her place." Atropos continued. "If raised in love, the Kings will flourish. The time spent in peace will help them be nourished."
"All will be born together, neither better than the other. They will be always together, each of them a brother." Lachesis ended.
"Why is it never a straight answer with you three?" I asked a little bothered. "If these four are to reign then shouldn't we know how to help them, guide them?"
"You will come across them when the time comes. Nine full moons will pass. On the tenth the princes will come at last." Clotho informed us. "Keep them close and watch them well, for the days are long but the years are short."
"Always show grace and patience, never break your resolve. For when they become Kings, your time on earth will dissolve." Atropos added. "Seven of the best will take on the creatures that kill. They will aid the Savior and obey her every will."
"Should we be writing this down?" Jenna leaned over and whispered.
"We already have. Take heed, though, you must complete the task at hand. For the Savior to win, things must go as planned." Clotho said while handing me a scroll.
These women and their riddles. I think I know who the princes are and why everything had to be done in a rush.
"One of light, one of power, one of knowledge, and one of sight? What do you mean?" I asked curiously looking at the scroll.
"A King, born to only darkness, will enjoy living in the light. A king, born of two great powers, will be the ruler of all. A King, born of great wisdom, will know all knowledge of the past. A King, born of simplicity, will have sight of the future." Lachesis said proudly.
"These four will be a great benefit for us, for they will reign the earth while their parent reign the heavens." Clotho added.
"Where in the world do we find them?" Jenna asked.
"The children you two carry will be power and sight." Atropos smiled sweetly.
"What?" Jenna looked at me. "Your ..."
"I had my suspicions, but now I know for sure. I'm guessing Elizabetha and Jackie will be the mothers of light and knowledge. It all makes sense now." I said figuring it all out. "I guess we have a long road ahead."
"So the war of the gods won't start till they take our places. I guess you really are the Savior." Jenna nervously giggled.
I'm not sure what it means. I may understand a lot more now, but I also have more questions.
"What do you know about Hyperion?" I asked them.
Their eyes went wide with shock.
"That is a name we haven't heard in a long time. He was once a very well respected titan. He loved your grandmother Rhea, but Rhea loved another. He found a wife and had your father. He sacrificed his status for love. You should talk to your mother." Atropos said.
"It is not our story to tell." Clotho ended the discussion.
"Ok. Thank you ladies. I think it's time to find my mother and get more answers. Thank you for tea and the prophecy. We will be on our way now." We got up and bowed to them.
I took Jenna's hand and appeared in my office.
"Quietly shut the door." I whispered. "I don't want them to know we are back."
Jenna crept to the door and shut it. I turned to my filing cabinet and put the scroll in the bottom drawer, locking it. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
"Hermes, come forth." I whispered.
"Hello, ladies." He said, appearing with a smirk.
"Shhhh." I motioned with my finger over my mouth. "We aren't suppose to be here."
"Oh, alright. What can I do for you?" He whispered.
"I need to see my mother. I don't know where to go to find her. I've always had to think of a place and see it in my mind to go there."
"Ahhh, then let me teach you a new trick, goddess. Close your eyes and think of your mother. It will allow you to feel her and draw yourself to her. It's how gods and titans always find each other."
"Thank you."
I closed my eyes and thought of her. Her beautiful face, her long black hair ... there it is ... the pull. I gräbbed Jenna and we disappeared. I opened my eyes inside a room. It was a light blue, calm and peaceful. Out the window you could see cherry blossom trees. The furniture was simple, yet felt sophisticated.
"Where are we?" Jenna asked looking around.
"I'm guessing in a room at my mother's house." I said shrugging.
We heard some voices and tried to hide. In walked my mother and aunt.
"Thank goodness we found the right house." I said loudly.
They both screamed.
"What in the name of all that is righteous." My aunt screamed.
"Not so funny when you get popped in on, is it?" I chuckled.
"Fair enough." My mother laughed.
Jenna came out of her hiding place.
"How many of you are here?" Celest laughed.
"Just us. I came to speak with mom."
"About?" My mom questioned.
"Hyperion." I simply answered.
Reading the room very well, my aunt took Jenna to go get refreshments.
"Well ... what is it you want to know? And how did this come about?"
"He came to visit me. He said something about how I was his greatest sacrifice."
"Story time it is then." Mom laughed sitting on a sofa. "Long, long ago, Hyperion fell in love ... with my mother. By the time he confessed his love, however, she was in love with someone else. He left it alone and found him a wife as well. He ended up having your father. He was a mighty titan, the god of heavenly light is what they called him. When he found out your father and I were in love, he didn't förbid it like the gods. He knew how it felt to love someone you couldn't have. When we were förced into our positions and condemned to be separated, I was already pregnant with you. He came to deliver a message to me and found me crying. I was worried about you and Helios. What would the gods think? How would they see you? What about Helios never getting to see you? So many questions and worries running through my mind. Hyperion took me into his arms and held me. Comforting me. We came up with a plan to suspend your life that night. We agreed to wait for the perfect opportunity. He used a lot of his power and took you from me. He almost drained himself in the process. He then took you away to hide you. He gave up his superior status to make sure you were safe. He ran off to the Underworld with you. He was the heavenly light living in the dark to protect you. He isn't going to be of any harm to you."
"He said he intends on being a part of our lives now."
"He always wanted to be a part of your life. He was so weak for so long. He gave his life förce to take you from me, that was the power he used. Now, maybe, he is stronger and helping you will make him even stronger. You mean everything to him."
"That says it all. I just wanted to make sure I could trust him."
"With everything you have."
"I'm pregnant."
We heard a loud noise and turned around. Celest was standing at the door and had dropped the snacks. Thank goodness Jenna was holding the drinks. Celest ran to me and hugged me.
"The prophecy is coming true." She squeezed me tighter.
"You all know?" Jenna asked confused.
"As soon as the message came through, the Fates let everyone on our side know." Celest squealed.
"We have a lot of thinking and planning to do." I said.
We sat and talked catching up and going over things since the wedding. Finally, we decided to go home. We have a lot of information and we have loads to go over with everyone.
--- So many questions on my mind. So many things to prepare for. ---
*Please know that I do know that Rhea and Hyperion had Helios and Selene. I changed some things so the story wasn't incësty. Thank you.*
