She sat still at first, and she looked around the place, it was classy and beautiful. She was surprised that Jane had all of these, she wondered why she would not focus on what she had going on for her.
“ I saw the pictures you took of me to show to Nick, I want to tell you that I was not impressed with the quality of the pictures and they also were not well captured. When do you want to capture me? Do it well and clean, I do not enjoy seeing some shabby pictures of me” She flipped her hair backward. She had to step up her game. Jane's office was so beautiful to behold. She did not want to be a sucker anymore.
“ Taken already, I will do just that. I appreciate the fact that you pointed this out for me. It is Wonderful and I appreciate it so much. I will see to it that you do not get shabby pictures anymore. They will be crisps from now on” she smiled at Kate. She was not expecting Kate to be so calm. She was expecting her to shout at her, but she rather encouraged her to make the pictures clearer.
Kate stood up and carried her bag. She walked to the door and stood there.
“ If you see anything from now, please take shots of me and send them to him. If I see yours too, I will return your kindness” She smiled and left the office.
Jane hit her hands on the table. Why was she not broken like she wanted her to be?
“ Are all my efforts gone?” She shouted.
She took her phone and called her photographer. Was he doing a bad job Like she had said?
“ Why are the pictures you took of Kate so bad?” She shouted on the phone.
“ No ma'am, they are not bad. Those are high pictures ma'am” he answered.
She ended the call angrily. What was Kate taking her for? Her face kept under a frown. She was upset at how Kate had remained calm.
“ She needs a tougher situation” she shouted as she hit her hands on the desk.
Kate got into the car and sped off. She got to Larry's office and walked in. Her face was expressionless. She sat down looking at Larry, she was not expecting him to say a word to her. She just wanted to remain that way looking at him.
Larry noticed how she looked at him, he wanted to let her be but he had to ask her if everything was okay.
“ Are you okay, you just came into my office, and looking at me with those accusing eyes of yours scares me” he said to her.
She smiled at him and quickly put away the smile.
“ Who is Jane to you?” She asked him. She believed that Jane was with Larry. Maybe it was Larry who had given Jane their location.
“ Who is that?” He asked he was surprised at her behavior.
“ You do not know, I will show you” She brought out the pictures from her bag as she had carried it along. She placed the pictures on the table.
“ I want you to explain this to me, how did Jane know the exact place I was, she never took pictures of me when I was out with Sara but then with you, there are pictures” She looked into his eyes. He wanted to keep eye contact with her but seeing that she would not give up, he removed his face and smiled.
“ How did you know about these?” He asked her.
“ From Nick, he brought the pictures to me to see them, he said they were pictures Jane took of me, I had to go meet with Jane and she could not deny one bit of it,” she said as she put the pictures back into her bag.
“ And how do I come in, I do not know who Jane is and I do not know what your husband has with Jane. Maybe your husband hired her to keep an eye on you”
Kate shook her head. She did not know if she would believe him or not. She sighed.
“ I want her to be punished for doing this” she began to rant. Larry stood up from his chair and went to meet her. He held her chin and raised it.
“ Do not stress yourself that way, you are bold, beautiful, and a queen. Do you know you have everything inside of you to face her? She is not close to who you can ever be” he looked into her eyes as he spoke to her being.
She blinked her eyes. “ Help me then” she requested.
“ I can not help you, only you have to help yourself, do you see the way she carries herself? You can do better than that” he smiled at her. She stood up and held his neck.
“ I want you to tell me how to achieve it. I want to be the superior”
“ Why did Nick marry you?” He asked her. Her face turned into a frown. Was she supposed to explain that part to him?
“ Because he wanted to”
“ I do not think so, there is more to it” he winked at her. She became confused. He smiled. He was getting her little by little.
“ What do you mean by that?” she wondered what he was talking about.
“ I will find out who Jane is and get back to you on that” he sat down on his chair.
She became more confused but smiled still. She wondered why Nick wanted to marry her, was there something she was not getting? Should she go back to ask her father? Maybe he would tell her some truth or maybe he would not say a word about it.
She left Larry's office and got home. She thought all day about how to look like Nick's wife. She went to her closet and looked at the clothes that were there.
“ Time for a change” she smiled.
