Bonus Chapter 3

“Are you sure you're alright?” Karina asked me after I stepped out of the vehicle. She reached out and grabbed my hand. I didn't know what I would say to her. I didn't want her to feel that I was sad because of what I saw.

I plastered a smile on my lips and slowly nodded at her. I gently removed her hand away from mine before I walked inside of my house.

As the guards greeted me, I instructed them to pick up my car at the mall.

My thoughts were spinning in my head when I sat on the sofa. There were no tears in my eyes but my heart was filled with worries and distress because of what I saw. I felt that my heart was stabbed by a thousand needles.

Even though Johnny ended up sleeping while we were in Karina's car, I held him tightly and hugged him. I felt that I was the most helpless woman, and I didn't know where I would get the source of my strength.

I wasn't surprised when Andrius opened the door, and I glanced up to prevent my tears from flowing. My tears wanted to betray me, and they were ready to flow down my cheeks. I tried my best not to show any signs of suspicions and distress.

“Oh, y-you are a little early today.” I couldn't stop myself from stuttering. I stood up, and I was prepared to go into the room because my heart was in pain, and I was afraid that he might see me crying. I had been trying to stop my tears.

Andrius hand encircled on my waist. He gently pulled me closer to him before he kissed Johnny. After that, he moved closer to me to attempt to kiss me but I didn't like it so I lowered my head so he wouldn't see my eyes. I quickly avoided my head before I said, “I smelled like milk. It's better if I will going to take a bath first.”

I didn't wait for him to talk when I quickly went to Johnny's crib to put him inside. I went to the bathroom, and I didn't even know what time it was when I finished taking a bath.

I didn't see Andrius inside of our room so I might guess that he was in the living room. I sighed to calm myself as I sat on the bed to comb my hair before I read a book for I knew that reading a book would help me to calm down.

I accidentally glanced at the clock and saw that it was still early. I wasn't sure what I was going to say to myself. Did I need to persuade myself that I shouldn't think about what I had witnessed?

I wanted to bring up the subject once we had the time to talk with him, but I was hesitant to do it because of fear that he might think that I lacked trust in him.

I was ready to hear his explanation but I wanted him to the first step than interrogating him. I wanted him to know what I might be thinking because of what I had witnessed.

I lay on the bed and felt how comforting the softness of the mattress was. I was hoping that he wouldn't come into our room while I was still awake.

Unfortunately, it seemed Destiny didn't hear what I wanted because Andrius came into our room while he was carrying Johnny, who was sleeping in his hold. He tucked Johnny into his crib and made sure that he wouldn't wake up I sank onto the bed and reveled in the comforting softness of the mattress. I'm hoping he doesn't come into the room while I'm still awake again.

I was watching him looking at him before he turned around to face me. He walked towards me which made me quickly gasp and turn my back on him.

My heart was pounding too fast and my body remained still when I felt his hand caressing me from behind. I didn't react even though I wanted him not to do that to me. He quickly planted a soft kiss on my neck that made me feel ticklish. I prevented myself from moaning.

He turned me around so I could finally see his face, I didn't even look at him in his eyes. He began kissing my neck while I was still not yet doing anything.

When he didn't see that I was reacting, he slowly tried to remove my garments which made me push him lightly. I got up from lying down. Sit up and immediately get out of bed.

"J-Johnny... m-might wake up." I grabbed Johnny's bottle and hurried right out of the room. I walked down to the kitchen and there I was babbling. Looks like I don't have a runaway anymore.

When I finished mixing the milk, I initially spent 30 minutes before I walked upstairs. When I opened the door, they were sleeping side by side. I walked down to the living room to sleep there. I don't want to remain in this room since I will only feel weird. I lay down on the couch and I was not aware that I had fallen asleep.

When I woke up, I saw him dancing with Johnny so he wouldn't wake up. I hurriedly stood up and attempted to pick up our kid. I peered outside and realized that it was night. I slept longer. I departed without informing him of my presence. My attention was drawn to his expression, which seemed to be astonished, but I disregarded it.

Karina POV.

It was true what Caroline had said about being able to capture how a woman felt after she had the opportunity to do so. I understood how she felt when she discovered that Andrius was with another woman. I truly wanted to give her an embrace and comforted her that everything would be fine. I wanted to tell her that she shouldn't be worried, but if I did, I would be a hypocrite since I would be telling her the contrary. If I was in her situation, maybe I would be like how she reacted. I wouldn't be relieved or pleased when I caught my husband with another woman. If I caught Anton, talking happily with another woman while I was having my insecurities, perhaps I wouldn't know if I could deal with the situation calmly.

However, I wanted to know everything so she wouldn't feel bad about herself. I grabbed my phone from the table and dialed Andrius number. I wasn't used to seeing Caroline's face brokenhearted, and as her friend, I couldn't handle seeing how she was.

It was early in the morning, but here I was still worrying about Caroline's and Andrius's relationship. Just four rings when he had answered my phone call. I couldn't stop but sigh several times while I was checking Brenda, my baby who was still sleeping.

“Andrius, I want to speak with you. Are you available today?” I asked but I heard him taking a deep breath multiple times. He seemed agitated for an unknown reason. I bit my lip in anxiousness for we didn't communicate much anymore.

“Yes, of course,” he answered but there was a hesitant in his tone.

A few hours passed when we met in the restaurant. I was the one who chose where we would meet. As soon as I stepped inside the restaurant, I saw Andrius waiting for me.

Despite that, I asked him to meet me We had just met a few hours later. We have a rush, his eyes went to mine. I quickly went to him and took a seat. I didn't want to waste our time together because I knew Caroline was still in pain.

“I don't want to waste our time to think about what we shall need to talk about. Do you have any idea what Caroline's feelings are right now?” I whispered and looked at him severely which made him perplexed.

“What do you mean, Karina?”
