Chapter 47: Epilogue

Kaitlyn

I didn’t really know what I should do or not. I wanted to ask him about the marriage but instead this all happened…

I decided to wait till he comes back home.

--- (A few hours later) ---

I was sitting on the couch and the doorbell rang. I took a deep breath and went to open the door. As I opened, I saw Daniel standing with a sweet smile.

“Hey Kate!” He tried to hug me, but I needed to clear the doubt first, so I moved back and hesitated. He looked at me with suspicion and frowned.

“Are you mad at me?” he asked, frowning more. I closed the door and sighed.

“yes”

“Why?”

“What were you doing when I called you?” I asked straight away. He looked at me and sighed. “I was just--”

“Were you taking your revenge?”

His expressions turned to those of confusion, but then a small smile crossed his lips.

“I see, that’s why you’re mad at me”

“Yes,” I replied.

He came to me and I just looked at him. He sighed, the smile still evident.

“I was just doing some workout. No need to worry”

“What? Oh!” I was embarrassed. Workout? yeah, of course he can!

“You don’t think I have this body without any workout, right?” he smirked. I felt myself blushing and looked away.

“Ah!”

“My dear Kate” he pulled me towards him. “Trust me a little bit from now”

“I do!” I smiled. “I promise”

He smiled. “And about revenge” he looked down. “I am not like him, I have decided to let the Police handle this. I have enough proof to prove him guilty. But I will not do it if you want to take your revenge”

I smiled at him. He has changed, he really has.

“If you wanna do this, it is good. It is legal and amazing. he will be punished and that’s actually what I want”

He smiled. “Then good! I will do the complaint today”

I nodded. He smiled and pulled me into a kiss.

After the kiss, I pulled apart. “I have to tell you something”

“yes?”

“I think we can arrange our wedding with Avril and Eric’s!”

A bright smile came on his face, the one I have never seen. “Woah, that will be so good! Yes, we can!”

I nodded. “yeah!” I smiled a lot.

We both went and sat on the couch. He laid his head on me and I caressed his hair.

To be honest, I never expected this scene in my head. I never expected him to be this good and this lenient.

“You know, I love you so much” he spoke and closed his eyes. “Never leave me”

“I will never,” I promised. “And I love you too”

He smiled and I smiled back. This is what real happiness is.

----

Two days Later

I was feeling the best today.

I am getting married.

Again.

Everything was going on amazingly. The wedding palace was beautiful and Eric and Avril were getting married first.

Everyone was happy.

Chris was here too and he was too happy for me. He wished that we led a happy life now. He was happy with the fact that dad was punished finally. He was imprisoned for life.

Finally, we took our vows and he took me back home.

We didn’t have a passionate night, but I did have a few vomits making me wonder about something instinctively.

The next morning, the first thing I did was to go and buy a pregnancy test. I was scared, but took the test.

Two lines.

My happiness bloomed. I am pregnant.

Author’s Note:-

Hello guys, the novel ends here. I hope you loved them and liked their story.

Every story has a happy, or sad ending, but I think we have enough humanity in within that we can change almost all people who get affected by our words.

Kaitlyn was the one who, even after gave up, still knew that she could change him for good and she did.

I hope that the people who are surrounded by toxic people. Either go away (if they can’t change them) or try to change them.

Don’t ever bear with them. You are too worthy for that.

People can be happy in stories, but I am sure that 90% of the readers are sad in their life. It is normal. I just want to let you know: this shall pass too.

Yours,

Lexi.
