Chapter 59 Maltreatment
His mother was a maid in this household and his father who is the first son fell in love with his mother and got her pregnant.
His grandfather had disowned his father and drove his mother out of the house. But his father pleaded that he will do anything that they shouldn’t abandon him.
His grandfather asked his father to marry the woman he has always wanted him to marry and that my mother should be ready to give him up to the family. Meaning she won’t be in his life.
His mother had refused and said she would raise him alone since his father was now married to another woman.
His grandfather had forcefully collected him from his mother and just to be close to him his mother agreed to be a maid in the house. But his step mother made sure she mistreated his mother and also him.
One day his mother slept and did not wake up. Her death was tragic because she had suffered so much and his father was not able to do anything, ignored the maltreatment and also how he too was maltreated by the rest of the family.
For years he endured a lot of maltreatment. There are days he goes without food and was constantly bullied in high school for being an illegitimate child and was even bullied by his half siblings who made the house a living hell for him. But after graduating from high school he ran away from home and struggled to get into the university on his own. But yet he was bullied indirectly for being an illegitimate child because his last name was Blanco.
He could not take it any more so after university he changed his surname to Rodrigo and hacked into the government database and wiped out his family history and every connection he had with the blanco from the systems.
His father had also died so he was an orphan now so what was the point of still bearing their last name.
But his grandfather still made sure to keep an eye on him and even asked him to return home after his fathers death but he refused. He had blocked his grandfather's contact so he can not reach him anymore.
If not for what had happened 6 years ago he would not have asked his grandfather for a favor and would not be here right now.
Emiliano breathed in and out. He needs to prepare himself for whatever will happen in there. He will be seeing his step mother and his step siblings after so many years.
Emiliano went inside and everyone turned to him. He could see the shocked look on his step mother's face and that of his half siblings. The others were also shocked but not like them.
His grandfather was the only one that was happy to see him.
“You're finally here, I thought you were going to disappoint me the way you did last year. You promised to return after 5 years but you are here after 6 years” His grandfather said.
Emiliano bowed his head “I’m finally here grandfather as I promised. And I’m sorry it took another year, my company needed a lot of attention”
“Ha ha ha ha, I understand it’s not easy to have a successful company built from the crash” His grandfather said proudly. He was proud his grandson has one of the biggest tech companies in southwestern Europe.
“Come sit down close to me”
Emiliano went to sit down close to him.
His step mother gave him a deadly glare. She hated the fact that he was here. They heard of his achievements and the fact that he was now a millionaire. But him being here came as a surprise to her. She clenched her fist.
“I called this family meeting to inform everyone about the new changes. The seat of the headquarters CEO has been open since my eldest son died. And according to family rules one of his children should sit in that position.
Emiliano’s half brother sat properly with a smile on his face because he already sees himself as the new CEO.
“Emiliano will take over as the new ceo”
“What!!” Mrs Blanco, his stepmother, stood up in anger “How could you father!”
“Be quiet and sit down!!” Seun reprimanded her.
His step mother sat down in anger “My son should be the CEO, he has been working in this company for years, he deserves the position!!” She said and her son nodded.
Everyone else agreed too. “And also, Emiliano is an illegitimate child, he doesn’t deserve the position” his uncle said.
And his step mother nodded in agreement.
Seun gritted his teeth “I decide who is an illegitimate child. Emiliano still remains my first grandson and from his achievement in business so far, he can very well take the Blanco group to the next level”
Rita Blanco clenched her fist, her veins showing as a result of anger. She was not going to allow this, so she stood up “I will not sit for this, I beg to take my leave, come children let’s go” her son and daughter followed her after giving Emiliano a bad look.
“They can leave if they want to, we will celebrate your new position without them” His grandfather said.
The rest of the family did not say anything.
Emiliano knew his grandfather wanted him to be part of the blanco group but he did not know he would give him the position of his late father. This came as a shock to him.
And he could not refuse because he has already promised his grandfather to do anything he asks of him.
Emiliano could only sigh. His enemies have multiplied.
After spending two hours drinking and eating with his grandfather he left there and went to meet one of the best realtors in the city.
The realtor took him to the two houses he had picked. One was for Ana and her family and the other was for him that was not so big like theirs.
He called Ana on a video call. The time zone was same so he could easily call.
When the call connected a cute little face greeted him
“Uncle Emiliano!!” Thea screamed excitedly when she saw her uncle.
