Chapter 133 BOOK 2: CHAPTER 23

Chapter 133 BOOK 2: CHAPTER 23
—Amira—
Just as I was about to take the call, it ended. I slid the phone into my handbag and joined Nathaniel in the helicopter.
Nathaniel helped me adjust the headset over my ears. Then he wore his, the microphone brushing near his mouth.
He signaled the pilot who keyed the engines and lifted us gently from the helipad.
Seconds later, we were slicing across the morning sky.
The city unfolded beneath us like a flower. Rays of sunlight shimmered on ‘La Seine’, the water's waves catching the morning sun.
“Is that—”
“Yes, the Eiffel Tower.”
“What do you think?” Nate asked.
“It's incredible. I've always wanted to explore Paris like this.”
“I'm glad you're here to see it with me.”
I turned my gaze away from the window and met his gaze. We shared a smile and a brief kiss that lit up my nerves.
When I turned my gaze to the window again, we were circling the rooftop of a five-star restaurant. I noticed four men in black suits waiting near the rooftop's helipad.
We shared another kiss as the helicopter touched down on the rooftop helipad. Once the rotors slowed to a stop, we removed our headsets. Nathaniel stepped out first, then turned back to help me down from the helicopter.
“Welcome to Grand Verre, Mr. Rivera. Madame.” The maître d’ approached with a practiced smile.
“Merci,” Nathaniel breathed, looping his arm around my waist. “Could you show us to our table?”
“Of course,” the older woman said and gestured. “Follow me, please.”
We fell into steps after her.
The glass door opened onto a hallway that led us out onto another rooftop. Nate had booked a rooftop table for us.
Nathaniel let go. “Please, seat.” He pulled out a chair for me.
“Thank you.” I sat down and watched him round the table. He settled in, just as the Head Chef appeared with a special off-menu dish and espresso.
“We'll be stopping at the Laurent House,” Nate announced as we ate.
My breath snagged. “You mean Émilie Laurent?”
“Yes. We need something suitable for the gala, don't we?”
I nodded and took another sip of espresso.
“Bon appétit.” I raised my cup.
Nate smiled as he raised his too. “Bon appétit.”
Time drifted as we went back to our food.
When we finished, Nate led me back to the chopper. We climbed in and lifted effortlessly into the midday sky.
After another ride, we landed on another rooftop. A man in ‘salt and pepper' hair waited by the door.
“Good morning, Mr. Rivera... ma'am,” he greeted as we stepped out.
“Mr. Laurent.” Nathaniel gave a curt nod before turning to me. “He was my mother's favorite.”
I exhaled. “We need the best for a gala tonight.”
Émile inclined his head. “Everything for tonight has been curated with the utmost care, Monsieur, Madame,” he said. “Paris will remember the gala.”
Nathaniel and I shared a knowing smile.
“Lead the way,” I said.
“Please, follow me,” Émile gestured.
He led us to the VIP floor and clapped his hands. Almost immediately, his assistant rolled in a garment rack draped in ivory covers.
Émilie unzipped the first cover and my jaw almost dropped.
Inside was a tailored, midnight-blue tuxedo, a crisp white shirt, and a black silk bow tie. Then a pair of patent leather Oxford shoes.
“Magnifique!” Mr. Laurent blurted when Nathaniel stepped into the clothes. “This is exactly how Paris should see you.”
“What do you think?” Nate asked, turning to me.
My eyes lit up with admiration. “Charming...as usual. Maybe more.”
Something unspoken passed between us.
Émilie opened the second cover and I took in a champagne gold, open-back, floor-length satin gown. Then a metallic clutch and a pair of black strappy heels.
I stepped into them and Mr. Laurent approached with a beautiful jewel set of diamond drop earrings and a subtle necklace.
“No,” Nathaniel interjected. “That’s lovely—but it could belong to anyone. I want something that announces she’s with me.”
My stomach tightened. He wasn't hiding what we had. If anything, he was claiming me openly, where everyone could see.
When he said he loved me last night... he hadn't been bluffing.
Mr. Laurent blinked. “Right away, sir.” He signaled at his assistant, who left immediately and returned with a black jewel box.
“ La Couronne de Nuit. Haute-joaillerie collar crafted from platinum and emerald-cut white diamonds. Five million dollars,” Mr. Laurent explained.
The world tilted, my head already doing the calculations.
If I was right, that was seven billion naira. Gulping, I was already calculating how many houses and cars that I could buy. And Nathaniel was spending it on jewelry, for me.
I couldn't even understand why a single piece could be that expensive.
Not until Mr. Laurent opened the box, and I saw the necklace inside.
Tears instantly pricked my eyes.
Elegant. Unique. Solitary. I’d never seen anything so breathtaking.
“What do you think?” Nate asked, eyes flicking to me. “Do you like it?”
I nodded, not trusting the words that could come out of my mouth.
“We'll take it. Everything,” Nathaniel announced.
The gasps from the staff, Mr. Laurent’s repeated words of appreciation, all became muffled sounds around me until Nathaniel walked up to me, his fingers brushing my arm.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
I blinked. “No one has ever spent this much on me.”
He smiled. “This is nothing. I’m going to spoil you, baby—and I’m not bluffing.”
My heart swelled.
Pushing myself on my toes, I pecked him and hurried into the changing room.
That afternoon, we slipped back into our clothes, and Nathaniel cleared the bills, handing the staff his black card.
Together, we stepped out of the Laurent's House and returned to our waiting helicopter.
Back home, we settled down for lunch in the dining room. When we finished, Nate scooped me into his arms and headed for the Master's floor.
Our laughter rang across the hallway.
In his bedroom, he carried me to the bathroom and lowered me again on my feet. We removed our clothes and showered.
I offered to scrub his back. But when it got to my turn, he deviated and caressed my breasts.
A moan slipped from my lips.
“Do you recall last night?” he asked, his voice husky.
I nodded.
“I had you screaming my name and asking for more.”
I licked my lips. “Yes.”
My breath came is short, broken waves. Hitching as he rolled each nipple between his fingers.
“Say it. Say that you want to be ruined right here, under the shower.”
“Please! I—I want to be ruined by you.”
A groan left him as he kissed my neck, his hands sliding lower until they cupped my sex.
Leaning on him, I parted my legs—begging him to continue.
Sweet mercy! I reached behind me and stroked the strength coiled between his legs.
His breath hitched.
He slammed a finger inside me and fucked me.
The world slipped away.
I let out a low moan, my hips lifting instinctively.
Just as the sensation began to build, he pulled away. “Not now. We have a gala to attend.”
Screw the gala. I wanted my release.
Turning myself around, I dropped to my knees and stroked him.
“What are you doing?” he asked, disbelief crossing his eyes.
I licked the crown of his cock. “What do you think I'm doing?”
His eyes darkened, his thumb tracing the curve of my lips.
“If you keep doing that...” he growled low, “you'll have yourself to blame for whatever happens next.”
I smirked. “Let's see about that.”
Closing my eyes, I dragged my tongue from the base to the tip of his cock, and sucked as if my life depended on it.
Then I took almost all of him into my mouth and gagged.
A shuddering sigh left him, his hips bucking.
When I glanced up at him, his eyes were closed and his head inclined backward.
I sucked him harder, kept gagging until I was dripping with saliva.
“Fvck!” Nathaniel groaned.
“Already losing control?” I teased. “You don’t sound very patient.”
He hauled me to my feet and turned me towards the wall.
“Let's see how long you can run your mouth,” he whispered in my ear.
He grabbed his cock. Dragged himself along my entrance twice, then drove into me without warning.
