Chapter 41

“Okay,” Rhiannon answered as she understood who she had been told about.

She arranged the documents on the table neatly and tidied the desk as papers were scattered everywhere.

She stood up, took her handbag, and took out the documents that were in before placing the handbag on the desk and started walking towards the door.

“Make sure that no one comes in when I am not present,” Rhiannon said to a bodyguard as she didn’t want to leave the office without anything looking after it as some documents could be stolen.

Also, the fact that she had just fired the secretary made things worse thus she opted to treat the guards as her secretary for the time being till she could find a new secretary.

Although the bodyguard didn’t like standing in one place and wanted to refuse, he didn’t say anything as he had been taught to always follow his employer's instructions. Even if he could have argued that Rhiannon never paid him, she was his boss’ wife thus it meant that she was also his boss.

“Yes madam,” he said causing Rhiannon to smile as she felt that they were so obedient.

She had been worried that the latter would refuse to do as she instructed but it seemed as if she was worried too much.

She vowed that she would be a good madam to them as long as she was still married to Octavius.

She started walking towards the conference room with the rest of the bodyguards following her despite her protest.

“Good morning,” she greeted those who were in the room immediately she walked in with a smile on her face.

“Good morning, Rhiannon, hope you are doing well,” one of them greeted her back with a warming smile.

“Yes,” she said in a short word as she didn’t want to continue with small chit-chat.

Mr Clark saw the scene and rolled his eyes. He wanted to speak but upon seeing the guards behind the latter, he shut his mouth and didn’t dare utter a single word.

“The reason that I called for all of you here today is to discuss our future,” Rhiannon said causing even those who weren’t paying attention to her too.

Seeing that she had gained their attention, she nodded in approval and she was in a good mood when she thought of what Kaylee and her mother were going through

“We are just in the design industry but not only the clothing industry. What if we go out of our comfort zone and try other industries?” she asked causing them to frown.

“Rhiannon, we understand that you have high expectations for the company but the company is short of funds,” one of the shareholders said.

Upon hearing that, Rhiannon frowned and then glanced at her father.

“As long as I remember, the company should be worth a billion worth. With all the ongoing projects, the money in our account should be more than 250 million thus why are you saying that we don’t have enough money to start something new?” Rhiannon asked.

“I know what you mean and you are indeed right but how can that 250 million be used? Are you sure that we won’t be losing our money and instead of taking the company to the top, you will be the reason for its decline,” the man said once more causing Rhiannon to stare at him as if she was thinking of something.

Mr Clark smirked when he heard those words.

He lifted his hand and thumbs to the man who nodded his head at him. Unfortunately, Rhiannon didn’t see any of that.

Rhiannon remembered that the man was her father’s friend and wondered why he was so opposed to her new idea.

“I understand but if we don’t for how long should we remain at the same level with those who have just started their company? We should be at the top not always at the bottom. Aren’t you feeling shameless when people see that our company hasn’t made a good profit?” Rhiannon asked coldly causing the man to lower his head and gritted his hands into a fist.

“I already have a restaurant under my name and have some special recipes which I want to employ the chef and let him try the dishes. If we succeed, we will go into the catering industry through that restaurant. If it gets fame, we can start opening other restaurants in various places,” Rhiannon said shocking everyone present.

“Do you have a restaurant?” one of them asked in disbelief.

“Yes, it is a gift from someone. Because of that, I can’t just neglect the restaurant just we don’t venture into that industry. We have to as we won’t be needing money to build a restaurant, buy a whole building, or even renovate as the place is okay, and if there will be any other thing required, I will cater for it,” Rhiannon answered the question.

“Where did you get the special recipes?” Mr Clark asked as he stared at Rhiannon.

He knew that his late wife didn’t know how to cook but the fact that Rhiannon was saying all this after moving her mother’s belongings, he had a feeling that everything she was talking about had something to do with Sabrina but he didn’t have any proof.

He felt as the latter’s husband, he should also inherit some of her properties if what Rhiannon was saying was true and that her mother wasn’t involved in anything.

“Dad, why are you asking? Do you think that I stole it from your house? When was the last time I stepped into that house?” Rhiannon said causing everyone to turn to look at her.

“Sorry, I forgot that I went there yesterday,” she said innocently causing some people to chuckle while the drivers had pale faces.

“That’s not what I said or what was on my mind,” Mr Clark said hurriedly as he was afraid of being exposed by a junior.

“Okay. These recipes were given to me by my best friend before she went abroad,” Rhiannon replied.

“Also, the princess of England wants some jewels for her 18TH birthday. I want to make sure that we get that job. Through it, we will enter the jewels design industry.”
