Rhiannon remained silent as she fell in deep thoughts.
“Yes, she was never the Clark’s employee in the first place. Although she never left and my mother was gone and there wasn’t anyone to pay her, mom had left some amount in her account as payment for her being my nanny even when she was gone. Since they don’t pay her, I don’t think they have any right to prevent her from leaving the house and if they do, we can meet in court,” Rhiannon said the last words coldly.
Octavius nodded his head but anyone who took a closer look at him would see a faint smile on his face.
“Okay. You can call her and give her our home address,” he said.
Rhiannon nodded her head and at the same time shook it.
“No. I think we should go for her. There are a lot of things that I left behind and I think that I should go for them cause if I don’t, Kaylee would get her hands on them,” Rhiannon said causing Octavius to glance at her.
“From the way you are behaving, they seem as if they are so important,” he said with no expression on his face and no emotion in his eyes but his tone was relatively soft.
“Yeah. Although not everything is important, they cost a lot of money. Instead of her getting her hands on them, I would rather sell them or give them out for charity.” She said as she felt that that was the best idea.
“Okay. Whatever decision you make, I will definitely support you. Why don’t you call your nanny and tell her to pack everything up and we will be there in an hour?” he asked.
Rhiannon nodded her head in agreement as she felt that she needed to inform the old woman before going to them.
With that, she picked up her phone and dialed the number.
“Hello? Rhiannon?” the person on the other hand said immediately the phone was connected after five rings.
“It's me, nanny. How have you been?” Rhiannon asked softly.
“Oh, my dear. I am doing good. How have you been? Have you recovered? Is your husband treating you well? Did his family make things difficult for you?” the old woman bombarded her with questions causing Rhiannon to sigh as she wondered whether she had made the best decision by calling her.
Cause her voice and tone the old woman used was high, Octavius heard her words thus hearing Rhiannon sigh, he chuckled and understood everything.
“Nanny. Can you come down? At least ask one question after another instead of bombarding me with multiple questions. After all, how am I supposed to answer all your questions at the same time?” she asked causing her nanny to remain silent as she understood that she had overdone it once more.
Although she could have asked those questions one at a time once more, she never that Rhiannon already had those questions in her brain as she was a genius.
“Anyways, I am quite fine and I have recovered fully. I even went to the company yesterday and today, went out for lunch. My husband is treating me well but about his family, they aren’t from here thus I haven’t met them yet,” Rhiannon replied just as her nanny had expected her to do.
The old woman was shocked when she heard about the Octavius family’s origin and panicked but she hid it too well. Actually, it wasn’t that she was good at hiding things cause if she was in front of Rhiannon, no matter how much she wouldn’t talk or pretend, the latter would still see the worry and know that something was wrong.
“Oh, that’s good then. Why are you calling?” the old woman asked as she was afraid that she might ask something else or say something that would betray her.
“Nany, I want you to leave that place and join me as I am not used to living without you. You are my only family thus I can’t live so far away from you,” Rhiannon said surprising the old woman.
She had decided that now her young miss wasn’t in that family anymore, she would leave the following day and go back to her hometown. Although she didn’t have kids or husbands, she had a sister there and she had helped them build a house in case she would leave her master’s house one day.
“Nany, why aren’t you saying anything? Or don’t you want to come?” Rhiannon said as she pouted and cried.
Octavius glanced at her and wondered whether she was pretending or whether she was crying for real.
As expected, her nanny panicked when she heard Rhiannon's choking cries.
“Why are you crying? Who said that I won’t accompany you? I am just afraid that your husband won’t agree and find me as a bother,” she replied.
“Nanny. You don’t have to worry about it. We have talked about it and I think you should accompany her,” Octavius said.
The old woman on the other sighed and didn’t have any other excuse to refuse if her young miss husband had said so.
“Okay.”
“Thank you, nanny. Nanny, can you please pack your belongings, mine and mom’s? Make sure that everything that belongs to my mom is packed. I don’t want to leave anything. Also, there are some notebooks Mom left behind, please pack them up. We will be there in an hour,” Rhiannon said happily.
“Okay,” the old woman said before hanging up the call as she had a lot of things to do.
Just as Rhiannon was about to place her phone down, it rang.
She glanced at the name that flashed on the screen and her face turned cold.
Noticing the sudden change and the car’s temperature decreasing significantly, Octavius frowned as he wondered who made her have such a huge change.
“Rhiannon, where are you? Can Dad talk to you now?” Mr Clark said humbly but Rhiannon rolled her eyes as she felt that he was too hypocritical.
“Dad, I am currently on the road. But don’t worry as I am heading to the mansion. I will be there in an hour or so.
