“Blood type O?” he asked in a murmur when everyone’s reactions and their words hit him.
From how his sons were overprotective of the latter, to their words, everything.
“Is she my daughter?” he asked Antonio and Amanda while his voice trembled.
“Does anyone have blood type O?” the doctor asked not paying attention to his questions as to him, the patient's life was more important than witnessing family drama.
“I do,” both the second prince and the fourth prince said in unison before they turned to each other.
“Her brothers?” the doctor asked as he stared at the two.
“Biological brother,” the second prince said.
“Stepbrother,” the fourth prince replied.
The doctor nodded as he sighed but he didn’t show what was on his mind when he heard their words.
“Your blood won’t be enough. We will be draining all of her blood.
“Uhm, won’t my blood match?” Yadira asked as she felt awful she didn’t have the same blood as her sister.
“What’s your blood type?” the doctor said.
“Blood group A,” she replied.
“She can’t donate. She is still young to do that,” the second prince said as he shook his head since he didn’t want the latter to go through any pain.
“But brother,” Yadira replied as she pouted.
“Be a good girl and listen to me. Your brothers and sisters will be weak. We will need someone to take care of us. Won’t you take care of us?” Ernest asked as he patted the latter’s head.
“Okay,” Yadira agreed and nodded her head.
“He will donate too. He isn’t old too right?” the fourth prince said as she pointed at the king.
“He is our father,” he added when he saw the doctors and the king’s confused looks.
“Okay. But am afraid that it might not be enough still,” the doctor said causing them to sigh.
“The royal first brother is on his way. He boarded the plane immediately when he heard of her accident. He has the same blood group as we do,” Ernest said.
‘The royal first brother’. Those words rang in the doctor's ears and sounded like thunder. Without being told twice, he fell on his knees.
“This humble servant greets his majesty,” he said as he bowed in front of the king stunning everyone.
“Just stand up and go save her. Hope that the four of us will be enough to save her, right?” the king said.
“Yes, Your Majesty,” the doctor said full of fear as he wondered whether he would get a chance to live if he didn’t save Rhiannon.
He felt like crying as he wondered why he had such a patient with a high background and identity as he didn’t need to be told that Rhiannon was a princess of the royal kingdom as her father was the royal king.
“Apart from the poison, I understand that she had gotten into an accident, any injuries?” one of the elders asked reminding everyone about the accident.
“She has a leg fracture but she will get better if she takes care of herself, takes medicine, and goes for therapy sessions,” the doctor replied making the person who had asked that question nod his head in understanding.
The doctor immediately stood up and hurriedly walked back to the room to instruct the nurses.
“You knew that I have a daughter and you never told me? You even plotted against her to marry your son without asking for my permission as her father?” the king asked the Rodrigues couple coldly when the door was closed.
“No, we didn’t. They got married on their own,” Amanda said as she felt guilty.
“When you found out shouldn’t you have notified me? I understand that my kids hid the truth for me as they were trying to protect themselves from danger but you, you didn’t even call me when the news about Ernest's death came out. Forgetting that he had met his disguise after coming to your party. I always took you as my friends but what did you guys do? You even kept my daughter from me!” The king said as he wasn’t ready to hear any excuses.
“Just leave before I instruct them to carry you out. Don’t forget that apart from that, your family is the reason my daughter is lying on that table. I will settle the scores with you later on,” the king said before following the nurse who had just walked out of the room and led them to the adjacent room.
“We are sorry,” Octavius apologized as he wanted to stay there till Rhiannon woke up. However, he understood that Rhiannon’s family wouldn’t let him as they bore grudges against them.
“I don’t care. Just believe,” the king replied, and went he saw that none of them had moved even an inch, his eyes darkened, and looked at Ernest.
“Instruct those men to carry them out,” he said to him and the latter nodded his head.
Ernest lifted his hand and as if it was a command, those guards came out and started escorting the Rodrigues when the family realized that they wouldn’t be able to stay there. They thought it would be even better if they waited for her successful operation when they got home.
However, Octavius felt a wave of hatred towards his grandfather as he was the one who had been pushing Cecily to him no matter how much he refused.
Only the elders were left outside the room while the king and his family together with Yadira and Mary accompanied them.
“Hope she will be fine. I won’t let Cecily leave,” Yadira vowed before bidding them a bye and got out of the room walking towards the other emergency room where Cecily had been operated on.
Some of the nurses who had walked outside had brought back the news that the woman who was with their patient was the princess of the royal kingdom stunning them and they started doing their best to treat Cecily thinking that she was Rhiannon’s friend.
“This woman tried to kill a royal blood. I think you know what you should do,” Yadira said immediately as she walked in stunning them.
“I am sorry but no matter the background, we have doctors' policy that we have to follow,” one of the surgeons said causing Yadira to chuckle.
She blew something in the air causing them to stay frozen but they could see everything that was happening.
She then walked to Cecily, removed the ventilator on her, opened a bottle she had with her, placed the opening at the latter’s nose, and a big worm came from it. It then got into the latter’s nose. Another followed, and more than six red worms got in.
“You dare try killing my sister? I will kill you before you do so! You made the wrong decision!” Yadira said coldly to the unconscious Cecily before returning to the ventilator.
“She is the princess’ sister which means she is also a princess herself. We almost offended her,” one of the doctors said after they regained their strength; by then, Yadira had already left the room.
