“Won’t that be a good thing for us? We will be able to help her fast take down her enemies with that organization’s help,” Antonio said making everyone narrow their eyes at him not believing him.
“Although they aren’t that strong like the enemies, they can help with their connections in the government and also in business. You said that Rhiannon said that the only way for her to defeat the enemy is by being at the top both domestically and internationally. With their help, don’t you think that it would be easy for her to achieve that goal? Also, your maternal family might agree if they find out that she has a connection in that organization,” Antonio said making all of them remain silent.
“Your mother and I always said that we will be Celestine’s first child godparents while Grace will be her last born child’s godmother but since she only got one, we are both her godparents and as her godfather, I have to keep the promise of protecting her that Celestine had asked me before leaving,” Antonio said stunning Amanda.
“You talked to her before she left and you never told me?” Amanda asked in disbelief.
“She told me not to even tell you what was I supposed to do?” Antonio asked but he cussed himself inwardly for the slip in tongue.
“What did she instruct you to do?” Amanda asked although she felt betrayed.
“That when the tie is right, I should protect my godchild with my life. That I should make sure that she was alright and happy. Also if we won’t be able to defeat the enemy by ourselves and the other help she had left behind, we should contact her ex,” Antonio said making Amanda nod her head in understanding but it was Octavius' time to be stunned.
“You know who her real father is, right?” Octavius asked but his parents remained silent.
“Are you guys ever planning to tell her who he is?” he asked after taking their silence as an answer.
“As you heard what her mother said, the man should be contacted if only Rhiannon is in danger and unable to defeat the enemy,” Antonio said making Octavius nod his head in understanding but he was disappointed.
“I was told to protect her with my life thus I need to know some things before moving on to plan on what we should do,” Antonio said.
“Then shouldn’t we go there now and help Rhiannon out with the preparations?” Anabelle asked but she inwardly felt that she needed to go to a good spa.
“I will ask my brother-in-law whether he can find out whether Rhiannon is related to that organization. Dad, you don’t have to worry or get suspicious of her every time,” Anabelle said as she hoped to help her father since she didn’t want her father to risk his life for anyone.
“Is everything ready?” Rhiannon asked Clare who was walking towards her.
“Yes, their bedrooms are ready and you don’t need to worry about Octavius as I have given him a room on the floor down to yours,” Clare said causing Rhiannon to chuckle but shake her head.
“No need. He will sleep in my room. We don’t need scandals or people thinking that our marriage is fake while I am just a little mad at him. Nothing should ruin tomorrow’s party, even Octavius and I,” Rhiannon said even though she appreciated Clare’s concern for her.
“Okay, young miss. Mary has told me that your breakfast is ready,” Clare informed her.
“Okay,” Rhiannon said with a smile.
At that moment, Fred walked into the office.
“Young miss, all the cards have been sent out, and have of the guests have confirmed to attend the party,” Fred said as he had sent the hotel’s delivery people and asked them to come with a list of confirmed personnel.
What he didn’t say was that other people had intended to crush the party since she was there and they wanted to meet her. Also, the fact that the Sanders will be attending, he and the other apprentices were worried that something awful would happen and intended to be there to protect her.
“That’s good. Hope they will remember the dressing code, if anyone comes wearing other colors than what is written on those cards, they should not be allowed to get in,” Rhiannon said in a serious tone.
“Yes, young miss. You should at least get some rest now and eat your breakfast. You have been working since four in the morning with an empty stomach and I know that you didn’t eat yesterday at night,” Fred said making Rhiannon close the file that she was going through.
“Okay. When my in-laws come please receive them, show them their rooms and send some meals there. I will meet them during lunchtime,” she said as she didn’t want to meet with them early morning as she felt so tired and wanted to rest now that she could make sure that everything was ready and well prepared.
“I will personally receive them and show them around. Don’t worry about that young miss,” Fred said in a serious tone making Rhiannon nod her head.
“Clare, tell Bancy that she and the stylists should go move the gowns as I am afraid that it can be ruined if Mrs Rodrigues tries to move it on her own,” she said when she remembered about the gowns.
“Okay, young miss. Your tomorrow’s outfits have been sent to your room together with the accessories,” Clare said while Rhiannon sighed in desperation.
“I don’t need pieces of jewelry. I said that I would wear the pieces of jewelry left behind by my mother,” Rhiannon said.
“Yeah. I haven’t forgotten what you said. You will wear the Sanders heirloom necklace, your father’s family heirloom anklet, and bracelets. All we need is a stylist who can design the necklace you always wear to blend with your mother’s necklace,” Clare said as she nodded her head.
Rhiannon smiled that the latter remembered everything she had said. She knew that the Sanders would be present and she wanted to see whether they would recognize her and the necklace and see their attitude towards her mother so that she could know whether she could tell them as a family or a foe.
“Yes. I know that you are afraid that they won’t match but you can trust me since they will and they are beautiful. Don’t you think that the bracelet on my left wrist and the necklace on my neck are so pretty?” Rhiannon asked with a reassuring smile making Clare look at her.
Fred had already left after being instructed.
“They definitely are. I had not even taken a close look at them but now I have, I can be assured,” Clare said while nodding her head causing Rhiannon to chuckle.
“Young miss. We have an issue, one of the guests on the list is his majesty. The king of the royal palace!”
