They all looked at Octavius who was descending from the stairs shocking Rhiannon.
“Nanny, why didn’t you tell me that he is in?” Rhiannon asked the woman beside her in a low tone.
“Well, I thought there was no need to as you will see each other when you eat dinner and go to sleep. I know that you have missed him so much and that you guys couple have a lot of things to do so I will excuse myself,” Mary said as she winked at Rhiannon before she stood up and left the latter with mouth agape and she couldn’t believe what had happened.
“What just happened?” She asked Octavius who was already in front of her.
Octavius chuckled as he had heard Mary’s words and was grateful to her. Now seeing how Rhiannon’s big watery eyes blinked as they looked at him innocently, he felt like chuckling or rolling his eyes as he wondered how she still managed to look innocent when she clearly wasn’t.
However, he promised himself that he would do everything in his power to protect her so that she could maintain the innocence that she always portrayed in front of him and her closest people.
“That is what happened,” Octavius replied causing Rhiannon to glare at him and then roll her eyes.
“You said that we are going to the capital in a week?” Rhiannon asked as she took a glass of juice that had been handed to her by one of their maids.
“No. Mom’s party is in a week. As the family’s youngest madam, you opt to organize the banquet for her. This will also be a chance to show yourself to the upper circle in the capital,” Octavius said causing Rhiannon to nod her head.
“Does that mean that I am the one who will be arranging even her clothes, the venue, and everything?” Rhiannon asked as she stared at the latter but inwardly, she wished that that was the case.
“Right,” Octavius answered her as he nodded his head causing Rhiannon to squeal in happiness.
She had gotten all her mother’s apprentices' contacts or should she say her servants.
She had learned all of their names and their occupations.
She hurriedly took her phone and called one of the chefs who had a five-star hotel in the capital.
“Madam,” the man on the other side greeted respectfully.
“I will be holding a banquet next week for my mother-in-law. I am the one in charge of organizing it thus I was wondering whether you can arrange everything. As for the decorations, you can call Clare and ask her to do them according to how I will send the draft to her,” Rhiannon said in front of Octavius who was listening while looking at her curiously.
“Madam, are you planning on letting your mother-in-law have a banquet in our main hotel? As you know, even if one is the richest man in the city, they can’t just get an entrance or a whole hall for celebrations,” the man said.
“Well, it is mysterious but still not at the top and you know that. I checked what people said about it and found out that they claim that we have high standards so that people cannot go in and at the same time, because we are afraid of getting out of the top ten in the catering industry. I think it’s high time we prove them wrong and show them we even deserve more,” Rhiannon said causing the man to admire her actions and decisions.
“Okay, I will do that. Also, what should we prepare? What kind of cuisine?” the man asked curiously causing Rhiannon to look back at Octavius.
“What kind of food does your mother like?” she asked causing Octavius to shake his head while Rhiannon looked at him in confusion as she couldn’t understand why he was shaking his head.
“It's our mom and not your mother,” Octavius said stunning Rhiannon and she got lost in thoughts.
“Madam?” the man on the other side called when he didn’t hear her answer bringing Rhiannon back to reality.
“Tell me quickly,” Rhiannon urged Octavius as she tried to hide her flushed face that Octavius had already seen and was smiling because of it.
“Western cuisine but should be more spicy. If you can get someone to cook spicy meals like the Indians then the better,” Octavius said causing Rhiannon and Mary who had just walked into the living room to shake their head.
As people who had learned more from Celestine's recipe books, they understood a few things. Rhiannon felt that she didn’t need to explain much to the chef as she was sure he had heard what Octavius had said.
“Organise the top chefs to help you in preparing the meals. The ten and not more or anyone who isn’t part of you but you can make an exception and allow your children, one of your children from each of the top to help you out. Nanny will help you out in organizing everything in the kitchen when the time arrives,” Rhiannon said causing Octavius to lick his lips.
Although his grandmother and his maternal family were talented in making delicious meals, he admitted that they had fallen short when compared to Mary’s meals.
Since Mary joined them and started cooking their meals, Octavius always felt like the meals prepared by a five-star chef were made by a two-star chef. Now knowing that Mary was the one in charge of the preparations of meals, he could imagine what a great sensation it would cause in his family and they would try poaching her.
He smiled as he looked at Rhiannon as he felt that she was so good and making use of opportunities that were handed to her.
“Okay, madam. I will start organizing everything immediately even the cards,” the man said causing Rhiannon to smile broadly before shaking her head.
“There is no need for you to do that. Get one of the youngsters who will be participating in the competition to be my right hand to do it. They can arrange it themselves or let those old men decide,” Rhiannon said causing Mary to look at her in surprise as she never thought she would be helping them out in what they were supposed to be doing.
“Okay then miss. I will inform Miss Clare so that she can stay on standby as she waits for your drafts while I buy the necessities,” the man said causing Rhiannon to nod her head.
“Well, thank you,” she said although she didn’t have to.
She felt that she had done a great thing calling him to arrange everything.
“Where will the venue take place?” Octavius asked although he had an idea of where but because that hotel was so mysterious and belonged to a certain organization, he refused to believe that it was the one.
After all, how can Rhiannon be involved with an organization?
Rhiannon grinned before shaking her head.
“You will see it for yourself when the time comes. Now that I have sorted everything that needed us to go there earlier than expected, I believe we can stay here for a while,” Rhiannon said with a grin causing Octavius to understand that he had been tricked since she didn’t want to go to the capital anytime soon.
“Can you please ask your sister to contact me so that she can help me with your mother’s outfit size so that I can start preparing the dress?”
