Hearing that, Rhiannon smirked as she took the tablet that Raven was handing over to see.
As she read the reviews, she knew that she had succeeded but she felt that the ten percent are little low.
“We shouldn’t celebrate at this time. Celebrations will be after both of you win the international perfumery competitions abroad. After that, we will be sure that we will take the first position. Right now, this is just little achievements making people recognize us, realize that the Rodrigues aren’t the only ones talented in that sector,” Rhiannon said in a serious tone as she knew after this, her husband would organize strategies for his company to get to the top.
“You are talking as if we won’t be talking the first position this time,” Ruby said as she rolled her eyes making Rhiannon smile faintly at her.
“So what if we take it? Yes, we can take it but dear, you near to think at the brighter future,” Rhiannon said causing them to raise their eyebrows at her as they wondered what she was saying when they have always done things thinking of what the future holds.
Rhiannon sighed as she knew that they were confused and didn’t understand her, “Before we get comfortable with that position, or should I say, before the annual positions are done in four months we need to prove to the world that we deserve that position. Also, don’t forget that our target isn’t been number one in the domestic industry but internationally.”
The girls nodded their heads as they understood what she meant and at the same time started worrying whether they would make it or not.
They looked at Rhiannon and wondered how was she not happy with the achievements she had made. They started aspiring to be like her. Calm, no matter what kind of news or how successful they had become.
“Rhiannon, when are you going back to your husband?” Melda asked after some time causing everyone to look at her.
Rhiannon didn’t immediately reply to her. She just stared at her waiting for her to continue as she wanted to see why she was asking her that.
“I know that you are mad at what he did but he is still your husband. If every time you guys have an argument you run away, what kind of image will it portray? Don’t forget that you already took over the Clarks Company. Many people are waiting to see whether you will succeed or fail,” Melda said with Rhiannon continued staring at her as she could tell that the latter had not finished what she was saying.
“Do you know what they will say if they find out that you have left your husband? That he isn’t your husband but a man whom you paid so that he can pretend that the two of you are married. When that happens, you will be able to take over the Clarks,” Melda added while Rhiannon chuckled at her words.
“How will they know that I ran away from home, and left my husband if they aren’t told?” Rhiannon asked coldly.
How could she not know what the latter has been going around saying?
“We live in a high-end estate. The most expensive in fact at the most expensive, luxurious, and secluded villa. Even the top family in this city lives in the same estate but miles away because their villa can’t even reach an eighth of ours. We don’t have neighbors to know that I ran away,” Rhiannon said with a smile which made Melda freeze making her unable to understand how that was when she was so afraid of Rhiannon while she was just a little girl to her.
“People in the company don’t know. And those that are asking nanny, nanny is telling them that the girls and I are very busy in preparations for the competitions and that’s why am staying at your place,” Rhiannon added with a chuckle.
Melda had been going around claiming that Rhiannon and Octavius didn’t get along and their marriage was full of bumps and holes. Also, they shouldn’t expect anything and help from the Rodriguez when Rhiannon is in trouble.
The same people wondered whether her words were true and they started looking for her nanny for confirmation as they knew that Mary loved with the couple at their house.
Nanny Mary had called her to tell her to be careful. Rhiannon had decided to ignore everything as long the latter didn’t ask any questions but alas.
“Aunt, I understand that you care so much about me but please let Octavius and I do our things. Stop going around saying what you are saying thinking that none of us will hear about it just because I haven’t fully taken the company,” Rhiannon said coldly stunning Melda and she understood that the latter knew everything.
“But Rhiannon, isn’t it true? If both of you aren’t arguing, why hasn’t the man visited or come for you yet? Also, isn’t his behavior showing that even if you are kidnapped in the future, he will not notice anything as he doesn’t have you in his heart,” Melda said causing Rhiannon’s eyes to turn cold.
“You should be with someone who loves you. Someone who will always protect you, not someone who seems like he doesn’t want anything to do with you,” Melda said.
“How do you know that he isn’t doing that? Have you been sleeping with me every day so that you can know whether we talk at night or not? Did you say protection? Immediately I got married to the man, I was given my security team. Even after I took over the legacy and got twenty bodyguards always following me around for protection, Octavius didn’t retrieve his previous team, instead, he told them that they should always secretly protect me,” Rhiannon said causing Melda’s face to flush in embarrassment as she had not thought there was such a thing.
“Please be careful with what you go around saying. Just because I call you aunt and because I am closer to you than the rest doesn’t mean that you know everything about me!” Rhiannon said coldly as her eyes carried some threat in them.
Since Melda was looking at those eyes, she felt as if she had been burnt and remained frozen.
“You don’t know how I survived to get here am I today. You claim that you are my protector and that’s why you are in this city, when I needed you the most, why weren’t you able to know and help me? That means whom you claim won’t help me was the one who rescued me. Gave me another chance to live so please. I know my husband better than anyone else and won’t allow you to say anything negative about him,” Rhiannon said angrily and coldly as she wouldn’t let anyone talk the way they wanted to Octavius.
“But…”
“No buts. You know nothing! If you were asked, who is my father, do you know? Despite following my mother everywhere for a long period, you still don’t know. I am here but you don’t know about my marriage. If you don’t want to me to stay in your house just say it and I will move out!”
