Chapter 254: At the basement
"I'll show you the results in a few." Wesley said and stood up. He didn't respond directly and left after nodding at grandfather. Grandfather sighed. He knew what that Wesley brat was going to do. He just needed to hear from him, to be sure.
He sighed. He didn't expect such an outcome to happen on their first day of visiting. What a way to welcome someone.
"Follow him and be on standby. In case he needs some help, don't hesitate. " Grandpa waved at the bodyguards and said.
"Yes, sir." The bodyguards said in unison and left to carry out what they had been instructed to do.
Grandfather also had preparations to make for his guests, so he went ahead and instructed the maids on what to make, among other things. The people in the Manor were used to seeing such bloody scenes, so no one was scared. They had been specially trained before getting employed. That was a condition that had to be met. Grandfather observed the maids' faces and was satisfied to see that no one looked horrified. He would've made sure to get rid of them immediately because he wasn't the kind to raise weaklings. Well, except Madison. He would definitely make an exception for his precious granddaughter. Even Rowan was strictly trained. That's why he didn't make a fuss when Madison was shot severally despite being shocked and sad.

In the basement;
"Lead the way." Wesley said to one of the bodyguards who was guarding the entrance of the basement.
"Yes, sir." The bodyguard answered and led the way. He felt awe when he experienced the strong aura exuding from Wesley. He instantly knew the man wasn't to be trifled with, especially the killing intent that was emanating from his body.
Wesley followed the guard and arrived at the door.
"You may go back." After all, there were other guards stationed there. He couldn't allow him to leave his post just because he asked him for directions.
When the guards saw who it was, they made way and let him through. They had already been notified about it by their boss. They were told not to do anything unless he asked for their help, that's why they stayed put and watched him from the side.

When Wesley entered the dimly lit room, he turned on the switch, and the room became brightly lit. Chris, who was bound to a chair, was very much awake. However, when the lights were suddenly turned on, he couldn't help but squint his eyes a bit to adjust to the light. His eyes hurt from the impact. He narrowed his eyes and glanced at the figure standing before him.
"Yoh, isn't this the esteemed Wesley Grey? I'm so honored to have you here. "Chris said sarcastically.
This made Wesley narrow his eyes dangerously. From the way Chris reacted, it was as if he had been watching his and Madison's every move since long ago. That explains why he suddenly showed up after they paid Grandfather a visit. The more he thought about it, the more the killing intent around him increased. Even the bodyguards couldn't help but take a step back a little.
"Why? Are you surprised? How are the burial arrangements going?" Chris taunted when he saw that Wesley wasn't paying any attention to him. How could he take it lying down?
"You won't get the chance to walk out of here alive." Wesley stated as a matter of fact. He still had that indifferent look on his face, and no one knew what he was thinking.
Chris was taken aback, especially when he saw how serious Wesley looked. That just meant he meant every word he said.
Chris didn't know why, but his stomach suddenly churned. He had a bad premonition.
"What do you mean by that, you jerk?" Chris couldn't help but shout in exasperation.
"What I mean is.." as he was saying this, Wesley raised his hand, and everyone felt their hearts jump into their throats.
