Chapter 248: To her grandfather's
After that weekend, Madison's grandfather, together with her cousin, left for their place. Her cousin had classes to attend, and her grandfather had business to attend to. Before leaving, he made sure to make Madison promise to visit him as soon as possible. Madison has no problem with that because she'd always been curious about what the place that raised her parents looked like. Now that the opportunity had come, she just needed to plan with Wesley, who also had no problem with that before they left for her grandparents' place.
"When do you plan on visiting?" As they cuddled on the couch, Wesley asked her.
"Uhm, after you're done handling your company matters, is that okay?" Madison asked carefully.
She didn't know what his plan was, so she wanted to know if he was of the same idea as her.
"Sure. Don't worry, it won't take long." Wesley said and ruffled her hair with a gentle look in his eyes.
"Hmm. Take your time." Madison said and leaned on his shoulder. She didn't want him to rush such serious matters just because of her. They could visit the place whenever. Wesley just smiled in response. How could she say that? Everything about her was important, and that was the reason he had to do things quickly and not to keep her waiting. He couldn't let her know of this, though. He just knew it in his heart.
A month later, the two of them stood outside Oceania Villa to wait for their private jet. Wesley figured that'd be easier compared to driving there.
The two boarded the jet and headed for her grandfather's place.
"Nervous?" Wesley squeezed Madison's hand and asked. She was just too quiet, and he figured it must've been because she's nervous.
"A bit." Madison bit her lower lip and said. She was really nervous, because she didn't know what to expect when she arrived later.
"Don't worry. I'm here." Somehow, Wesley understood her worries, considering what happened in the past.
"Thank you." Madison said. She was really touched. His presence alone was enough to make her feel secure. She wasn't sure what she would have done had it not been for him.
Wesley didn't answer. He just squeezed her hand in assurance. He didn't care about what would happen, as long as his Maddy was okay.
An hour and a half later, the two landed safely at their destination. Madison took a deep breath before getting off the plane, followed by Wesley. As soon as she got off, her cousin embraced her.
"Sis, I missed you so much." Her cousin said with a hint of coyness. His grandfather looked at his weird behavior in disdain. Where was the tough and apathetic kid he knew?
"Welcome home." Her grandfather went over and greeted the two of them, who thanked him in unison.
The two first went ahead to eat because Madison said she was stariving. Even her stomach was protesting.
After having lunch, the four of them sat in the living room and conversed about random things. Just as the four of them were engrossed in their chat, someone suddenly barged in.
"Hey, little Madison. Long time no see, huh?"
