Chapter 141: Crisis resolved

Chapter 141: Crisis resolved

Wesley narrowed his eyes when he heard what his assistant said. He got up and went to the IT room to check things out. When he confirmed that what his assistant said, Wesley narrowed his eyes dangerously. Who was the person who suddenly helped him? And what did they want in return? Wesley didn't believe that a person could do all that and still not ask for anything. He was well aware of the fact that there's no free lunch in the world.
"Who was it that helped?" Weesley asked after contemplating for a while.
"It's the number one hacker." The person who answered was among the IT staff, and he was so excited to say it. He had always been a fan of the number one hacker even though he never knew whom it was.
The more Wesley heard the report, the more his frown increased. What did the number one hacker want from him?
"Did he leave a way to contact him?" Wesley asked again.
"No, sir." The guy answered again.

Wesley drove home after dismissing his employees. Fortunately, the following day was a weekend so they could have sufficient rest. As soon as he entered the living room, he found the old man still watching TV. It was as if he didn't feel sleepy at all.
"The matter has been solved, I believe." The old man commented, his eyes never leaving the TV.
"How did you know?" He hadn't said things at all. He had left without saying so as not to make them worry.
"I have my ways." The old man smiled mysteriously.
"Then, what about the number one hacker?" Wesley asked again. He at least needed to get the whole picture.
"I know them." The old man said mysteriously again. He didn't want anyone knowing the gender of the hacker.
Wesley stared at the old man who looked so laid back and suddenly came to a conclusion: The old man was overly powerful. He finally understood why his investigations about Madison's family always hit a dead end. It was all the old man's doing.
"Thank you, grandfather. " Wesley said earnestly. He was glad the crisis had been solved.

When Wesley went upstairs, the first thing he did was to take a shower. It had been an eventful day, and he just needed to shower to clear away the tiredness that had engulfed him. After taking a shower, he was changing his clothes when he heard Madison speak groggily.
"You are back?"
"Mmh. Sorry, did I wake you up?" Wesley asked gently. He didn't mean to wake her up.
"Not really." Madison said and sat up.
Wesley also joined her on the bed.
"What really happened at your company?" Madison asked with concern.
"An attack on the firewall. Thanks to Grandpa, all that was solved in a few minutes." Wesley said as he helped just the quilt on Madison so she wouldn't feel cold.
"Grandpa? " Madison was startled.
"Hmm." Wesley nodded.
"How powerful is he?" Madison was really curious. Her grandfather solved Wesley's company problem?
"Very powerful. Even more powerful than me." Wesley confirmed. This left Madison in shock.
