Chapter 324 Uncle, Do You Want to Remove a Scar?

Chapter 324 Uncle, Do You Want to Remove a Scar?

Aiden glanced at the butler standing nearby, who handed a document to Thaddeus.

"This is the inheritance your mom left behind. The Voss family has always been a big deal in Skycrest. This estate was managed by Alexander, but now it's finally yours. As your dad, I've done my duty. I know you hate me for sending you to prison back then. Today, I'm here. Do what you want—kill me if you have to!"

Thaddeus was taken aback by the unexpected turn of events with the Carter family.

Liliana walked into the living room and was startled to see Thaddeus. She approached him and gently touched the scar on his face.

"You didn't have this scar before you left, did you?"

Thaddeus looked at Liliana and smiled.

"Aren't you scared of me?"

"Scared of what? You're not gonna eat me. I'm your sister. Are you going to eat your own sister?"

Thaddeus chuckled, then noticed Liliana's pregnant belly and frowned.

"How old are you? Are you having a baby now? Did your husband's family force you?"

Liliana smiled faintly. "What if I said they did? Would you destroy his family?"

"Anyone who bullies my sister deserves to die!"

Liliana rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. I'm doing just fine. Don't go causing trouble! Alright, I've seen you. I should go now. The Carter family is yours now, my dear brother!"

Liliana returned to her room and soon came out with a suitcase. Victor greeted Thaddeus.

"Thaddeus, long time no see!"

Thaddeus raised an eyebrow and smiled at Victor. "After all these years, you're still following Liliana around, cleaning up her messes? Fine, live your lives as you see fit. I won't interfere. Give these things to Father. I don't want anything from the Carter family, and I sure don't want the Carter Group. That's Alexander's."

With that, Thaddeus stood up and left. His figure looked worn and thin, and Liliana's eyes reddened as she watched him.

"Thaddeus, this is your home. Where else can you go?"

Thaddeus didn't respond. As he stepped out the door, he saw Griffin and Jessa returning with their son.

"Is this Uncle? Uncle, your scar is so cool! It's perfect for an experiment. Uncle, do you want to get rid of it?"

Griffin, exasperated, kicked Teddy. "Show some respect! Kneel and greet your uncle!"

Reluctantly, Teddy knelt. "Hello, Uncle!"

Thaddeus smiled at the scene. When he looked at Jessa, his eyes softened.

"Jessa, it's been years. You're still as beautiful as ever."

Jessa smiled warmly, without a hint of pretense. "And you're still as domineering as ever. Come on, Dad's been waiting for this day. Let's have a good meal together. I'll cook for you!"

Jessa's cooking was still excellent. Thaddeus couldn't refuse and turned back inside.

The family gathered, but Alexander was absent, which disappointed Aiden. So, Griffin went to the study and made a call.

"Are you really planning to just give up?"

"What else can I do? Go back and stir up more trouble? Allison's still in surgery. I need to wait for her and make sure she's okay."

Alexander, heavily injured, wanted to rest for a while. He was fully prepared before the video conference. He held 35% of the shares, and with Liliana's, Thaddeus couldn't control the company.

But Alexander changed his mind. Thaddeus wasn't an enemy. He had paid for his mistakes. Why suppress his own brother?

So, Alexander abandoned his plans and handed the Carter Group to Thaddeus. Otherwise, Thaddeus wouldn't have returned home, and the family wouldn't be so harmonious now. Outside, however, chaos reigned.

In a suburban villa, furniture was smashed to pieces. Cormac Draycott yelled from the couch, "What's going on? Weren't the Carter brothers supposed to fight over the shares, causing the stock to soar with Alexander's victory? Why did it plummet instead?"

The traders shorting Carter Group's stock were trapped, an unexpected turn of events. Alexander, who could control everything, handed over his kingdom, causing a financial earthquake.

"Mr. Draycott, the advisor suggests waiting. The Carter Group's stock will rebound. It's just a matter of time."

"Time? How much time do I have? With so much money tied up, you tell me to wait? Are you stupid, or am I? I don't care how, but the Carter Group's stock must skyrocket within three days, or the advisor is fired, and the Draycott family will cut all funding!"

Many companies were trading Carter Group's stock. Cleo noticed and discussed it with Carl. They planned to let Alexander handle it, but he stepped back, leaving Carl speechless.

"This guy is cunning. If he fought back, Allison might not forgive him easily. But now, he's playing the victim, distancing himself from the Carter family. Smart move!"

Carl couldn't help but curse, and Cleo laughed.

"The Bishop family's assets will go to Cade. Allison doesn't care. But Alexander hid things from her, so she's right to be mad."

Carl smirked, feeling the urge to punch someone.

Alexander rested, but James stayed busy with other projects, like the newly built pharmaceutical factory.

"Mr. Carter, the factory is complete. The labs are ready, and the equipment is installed. Should we have Ms. Bennett take a look?"

Thinking of Allison made Alexander anxious. She hadn't checked on him in a day and a half.

"Find Henry and bring Allison some food. Don't let her overwork herself!"

James nodded and found Henry, who was exasperated.

"James, Allison's gone crazy, doing back-to-back surgeries without sleep. What's gotten into her?"

Allison had solved the hospital's toughest cases in six months, but Henry had never seen her like this. It was terrifying.

James sighed. "Find a way to make Ms. Bennett rest, or Mr. Alexander Carter will lose his mind!"
